Chapter 1
Chapter 1
"Lord...Lord, ang sabi ko gusto ko ng ten million, bakit mo na naman ako binigyan ng conyong little mermaid?!" he exclaimed and I was left confused.
I just stared at him while he's chuckling and laughing. His liquid black eyes glistened when the sunrays brushed on it.
"Uhm..." I hummed while watching his reaction. "Okay lang you?"
His laugh suddenly faded. From the laughing face, his reaction quickly shifted to a serious mode and to my shock, he's now poker-faced.
"Sir?" I called. "Okay lang you? You're just laughing, eh, then suddenly you became serious. You okay?"
"Mukha ba 'kong 'di okay?" he asked me with that cold face, making my jaw dropped.
"Wow! Don't tell me you're an actor?" I asked in amazement and stared at his face slowly crumpling.
"What?"
"Are you an actor?" I asked, "kasi you're very fast mag-change ng face."
The crease on his forehead deepened more and glanced at me from head to toe in his frowning face.
"Mga conyo talaga mga mukhang chaka doll," he commented.
"Hmm?" I hummed with a smile, "sorry, Sir, ah? I'm not super magaling pa kasi mag-talk ng Tagalog. I am still bulbol."
"Ano?!" his voice raised, stunning me.
"W-why are you screaming?" I asked, quite confused.
"You said..."
"Oh!" I grinned, "I said I'm still kinda bulbol in your language, I study lang kasi whenever Nana is with me or G is there. You know? Bulbol? Like when you can't say the words in a straight accent because it is a bit...you know?"
I was waiting for his reaction but I got none. He was just staring at me like I'm a ghost or something, his mouth also parting.
"Bulbol..." he mumbled, "you mean, bulol?"
"Oh!" I gasped, "is it bulol pala? Sorry, it's not my mother tongue kasi. Bulol pala! I'm kinda nalilito kasi pa, bulbol pala is the food, right? Fish bulbol?"
He suddenly sniffed dramatically, I was stunned when he tapped his chest and lifted his head again like he's been saying a prayer.
"Lord, ano bang nagawa ko sa nakaraang buhay ko para bigyan mo 'ko ng mga bulol na 'to?" he asked nowhere and tapped his chest again, "no...no, Baste, kumalma ka. Pagsubok lang 'yan, gago."
He looked adorable while talking to himself, as if he's assuring himself everything will be alright while tapping his shoulder.
"Baka bangungot lang," he whispered. "Sorry na, Lord. Susubukan kong 'di na awayin si terrorista, h'wag mo lang akong dagdagan pa ng isa. Tama, baka panaginip lang."
He stood straight and heaved a deep sigh before closing his eyes and pursed his lips.
My eyes landed on his pouty lips and it looks so soft and sweet kaya I touched my lips din.
I watched his serious face and now that his eyes are closed, I noticed how his features softened. I took my buko juice and lifted it in the air.
Slowly, he opened my eyes and my wide smile welcomed him.
"Want mo BJ?" I asked and showed him the juice and he groaned and pulled his hair, even jumping like he's been possessed.
"Ayoko na!" he growled, "ayoko na, Cap. Magre-resign na ako!" he said and then turned his back and left abruptly, making me confused.
"Mister? BJ?!" I screamed loudly again and he stopped from his tracks but then pulled his hair and almost ran away from my direction.
"Oh, super sungit." I said in a small voice and sighed, looking at my BJ and instead, chose to go back near the barricade and watched the waves in the shore of Brooklyn crashing near the ship.
I felt a bit sad because I am expecting that handsome man would become a friend but he looks so snob so, I doubt.
"Where is G na kaya?" I mumbled and glanced at my bracelet. "I should make bracelets for everyone."
After five minutes, my feet felt like nangingisay...oh, it's namamanhid siguro? I don't know if that's the right Tagalog word.
I saw a chair nearby so I walked toward there while moving the skirt of my flowy dress, my ginger hair danced with the cold wind and yet, it made me so relaxed.
I moved my feet while I'm sitting on the bench and swayed it a little, my hand is still holding the cup of BJ I bought.
I'm super takaw kasi, now, I can't finish it.
"Hello, Miss? Alone?" a man suddenly called my attention. I lifted my head and saw an American smiling and I suddenly felt appreciated.
Someone is talking to me! I can talk to strangers now!
"Hello!" I answered cheerily, "how are you?"
His smile widened, without asking for permission, he sat beside me. It made me somehow uncomfortable since I wasn't used to it but I guess, if you're a normal citizen, this is normal?
Before, people can't sit beside me this easy. They had to undergo different inspections, they have to become royalties and curtsy.
"Great," he smirked at me, "I guess you're alone, hmm? Wanna go somewhere?"
"Where?" I asked in a low voice, still smiling.
"Some...where." He looked at me from head to toe.
"A-ah, no, eh." I shook my head, "I am waiting for my cousin here. Perhaps, you want some BJ?" I lifted my juice a bit but his eyes are something else, it was scary.
My heart thumped.
"Sure..." he smirked, "you looked innocent but yeah, you're liberated too, huh?"
He stood, I just watched him walking in front of me and my eyes widened when he caught my wrist and pulled me up.
"Mister—" I couldn't say anything else when one blink, the man is lying on the ground and someone else is holding my wrist.
"Tang inang gago 'to..." my mouth parted when I saw the familiar man in a uniform holding my wrist.
"What the hell are you doing? Fuck you!" the man stood and tried attacking him but he just kicked him once and he's already limping. "Damn you!" he hissed and ran away from us.
"Mister..." I murmured and the snobbish man glanced my way again and frowned.
"What is that man doing to you, shokoy?" his tone's hard.
"Huh?" I asked in confusion, "I-I don't know? I just offered him a BJ?" I showed him my buko juice.
"Ay, pisti." He hissed and squinted his eyes close, "kaya naman pala, eh."
"Why?" I asked, "is it bad offering—"
"Akin na 'yang BJ na 'yan!" he hissed and my eyes brightened when he took it from my hand, "bakit ka kasi bili nang bili tapos 'di mo uubusin?"
"Sorry but you're too fast—"
"Mga pahamak talagang conyo," he sighed, "nandito ka lang pala? Kanina pa kita iniikot dito, ipapatapon daw ako ni Cap sa barko kapag 'di kita sinama pabalik. Gago, matagal na nga niya 'kong crew dito tapos ikaw na fake chaka lang ipapatapon na kaagad ako? Special ka, girl?"
I just blinked because I can't catch what he's saying since he's mabilis mag-talk.
"Isipin mo," he tilted his head and I caught a glimpse of his neck.
I put my finger on my temple and looked up.
"Luh, gaga. Anong ginagawa mo?" he asked.
"I'm thinking," I answered and glanced back at him when he groaned again and sipped on the juice.
"Ayoko na makipag-usap," he gaped, "mamatay ako ng maaga sa mga conyo. Tara na nga!"
His grip on my wrist tightened, unlike the man earlier, his touch did not bother me. Maybe a gut feeling since I feel safe with him?
I am smiling while watching his back, he won't let go of my wrist while walking and I am so pleased. Plus, he accepted my BJ!
We walked past the cabins. I looked around and got amazed with the large ship and its amenities.
"Wow, super malaki." I cheered.
"Ano? Anong malaki?" he looked my direction and his liquid black eyes pierced through me.
"The ship, Mister!" I cheerily answered, "look, oh! There are slides around! The pools are super OMG like super laki!"
"Tss," he shook his head, "'di na talaga ko magugulat na kamag-anak mo 'yong conyong sindikato."
"Sindikato?" I asked curiously, "why so? My cousin isn't like that."
"Nakalusot nga 'yon dito sa barko namin na pa-cute lang," he answered me back, "rupok-rupok kasi ni Cap, ayaw sa 'kin maniwalang sindikato."
"She isn't a sindikato naman, eh." I looked at him.
"Hindi nga, pero nagdala na naman ng kalahi rito. Conyo na naman. May dagdag na naman sa sakit ng ulo ko. Siya sindikato tapos dala niya 'yong fake na little mermaid." He answered and I just smiled cutely at him again.
He stared back. I caught him frozen for a while staring and moistened his lower lip.
"Gago, ano ba 'yan." He whispered, "namamaligno lang ata 'ko."
"What?"
"Nothing," he pouted, "h'wag na tayo mag-usap, tumataas ang presyon ko."
"I'm Gab pala!" I introduced myself.
"Share mo lang?" he blurted out.
"Yes, share ko lang!" I answered happily and he stopped for a while and cocked his head towards my direction.
"Slow." He commented, the side of his lips rose for a small smirk. "Sebastian." He introduced back.
"Sebastian," I giggled, "you know ba na ang sidekick ni little mermaid is Sebastian the crab?"
His face fell, "gagang 'to ginawa akong alimango."
"Hmm?"
"Wala!" he shook his head, "bilisan mo na at baka hinahanap ka na no'ng sindikato, baka kapag wala ka manganak 'yong pinsan mo."
"S-she'll give birth na?!" I exclaimed, "OMG! I didn't know!"
His shoulders slacked, "hay buhay! Gusto ko na lang maging single Dad sa Tagaytay!"
"Huh?"
"Wala, sabi ko kapag kinausap pa kita baka 'di na si G ang manganak, ako na." He sneered and pulled me towards a room.
He opened it and I was met by a large office with an overlooking view of the sea in the background.
"Oy, sindikato! Nandito na 'yong pinsan mong chaka doll!" he screamed and a moment later, my hopping cousin went out of the balcony.
"Gab!" she cheered.
"G!" I giggled and ran towards her for a hug.
"Where are you? Sabi ni basher you're nowhere to be seen?" she asked, "I was worried, the boys looked for you around."
"Oh..." my mouth formed an O. "Sorry, Cathalina! I just sat on the bench nearby, maybe, he just didn't spot me that easily."
"Tss, attitude kasi." She puffed a breath, "Baste, bulag ba you?!"
"Bulag ka diyan," Sebastian frowned and rested his back on the sofa and crossed his leg, staring intently at me. "'Di bale ng bulag kaysa sa bulol."
"Basher..." she mumbled and took my hand, "oy, Baste! Call the boys and Luci-patootie, tell them we found Gab."
"Yaya mo ba 'ko?" he asked boredly, still sipping the buko juice.
My cousin just glared his way and he's scratching his nape.
"Hay! Sana na lang talaga binenta kita dati tapos bumili na lang akong yate!" he hissed and stomped his feet and walked out.
G's smile widened when Baste vanished and held my hand, "tara, let's go, Gab! I'll show the view to you!"
The moment I saw the view, my mouth is parting in glee. From our location, we can see the high buildings around the area and in the middle is the famous Brooklyn Bridge.
"Wow..." I covered my mouth, "it's super maganda, G!"
"I know, right?!" she touched her stomach, "that's why I wanted to show you this! I know you'd like it here!"
"Thank you, G." I can't help but teared up while glancing at my cousin, "t-thank you for considering me, t-this made me so happy."
"Oh, Gabriela..." she hummed, "I love you, cousin. Come here, let me give you a hug!"
I moved closer to her, hugging her sideways and sniffed.
"You deserved this vacation, Gab." She whispered, "a few months from now, you'll be the new Queen of Italy. You deserved this, you deserved to enjoy. Malay mo, maybe you will find your own Prince Eric here?"
"I don't make asa na ng too much, G." I answered back and she dried my tears with her fingers. "They would choose a spouse for me, it's okay na if I don't find my Prince kasi I saw someone I can become a sidekick."
"Sidekick?"
"Hmm, you know Ariel's sidekick? The crab?" I asked and she nodded, "it's Sebastian."
Suddenly, she laughed. I was lost for a while until she began laughing hard.
"OMG, basher the crab!" she giggled and kissed my cheek, "okay, he can be your sidekick na crab kasi he looked a lot like an alimango."
We heard a knock and noticed Lucian smiling from the other side.
"You two okay?" he asked.
"Yes, Luci!" G smiled, "is the boys there now? I wanna introduce Gab!"
"Yep," he nodded, "they're here, come on."
Luci vanished, G then excitedly pulled me towards the glass door but I stopped her for a while.
"Is it okay?" I asked her, nervous because I gotta meet new people.
"Yes, why not naman?" she asked.
"W-will they..." I gulped, "will they like me?"
"What? Of course!" she cheered, "They are good people! They would definitely like you!"
It gave me hope and boost my confidence. She pulled me out of the door and there, I saw the familiar boys. They stopped talking when G called their attention and shyly, I smiled at them.
Unlike Sebastian who looked strict, the other boys have this friendly aura around them.
"Hi, boys! Like I told you last time, we will be having a special guest!" she cheered.
"Ano 'yan, Kris Aquino? Host ka, girl?" Sebastian retorted.
"Isa, Sebastian." Lucian warned.
"Mga favoritism!" he hissed, "mas matagal akong crew pero ipapakain ako sa pating kapag 'di nahanap 'yong chaka—"
"Ingay mo, Baste." The friendly looking man with brown hair said and then flashed a smile, "hi, Miss. Owen nga pala. Environmental Compliance Officer." He offered his hand.
"Hello, Owen!" my heart thumped happily because of his friendly smile, "I'm Gabriela! Gab for short!" I accepted his hand.
"Romeo, Staff Captain." The other handsome guy took my hand, "for your service, Miss Gab."
"Just Gab." I smiled and glanced at the shy looking handsome man. "Hello! What's your name?"
"Ian," he offered his hand shyly, his chinky eyes smiled too. "First officer, navigation."
"Nice meeting you, Ian!" I shook his hand firmly. "You're Owen, Romeo and Ian!" I recited happily, "I hope you all became my friends!"
"Sure!" Owen smiled, "we actually asked the kitchen to prepare our dinner, masarap iyon, Gab! Ay, teka, nakakaintindi ka naman ng Tagalog, 'di ba?"
"Really?!" my eyes twinkled.
"Oo..." he grinned. "Wow, nakakaintindi ka nga! Tinuruan ka ng G namin?"
"Yes!" I cheered, "I can speak a little since I'm still learning, I can understand too pero dapat super slow lang mag-speak so I could understand."
"May mga sea foods doon, Gab." Romeo smiled, "marunong ka ba maghimay ng alimango? Ako na bahala—"
"Marunong 'yan, alangan. Wala bang kamay?" Sebastian retorted somewhere and I glanced his way and noticed him resting his back on the wall while still holding the cup of the buko juice.
His eyes are serious, almost sneering at us with his thick brows meeting each other.
"Hayaan mo na 'yan si Baste, pinaglihi 'yan sa sama ng loob." Owen whispered.
"What?" I asked, "sorry but I'm kinda confused."
"Wala," he smiled, "magaspang lang ugali niyan pero mabait naman."
"Oo, magaspang, Gab." G commented, "I-scratch bright natin next time." She grinned and I am definitely confused when they laughed with Baste glaring at them.
It was my first time meeting the boys and yet, they are easy to talk to. They toured me around the office and I am smiling while nodding.
They are interacting at me and I realized what G said is true. She told me before that she found a family in this ship and I am anticipating to have one too and I think I am lucky because in just the first day, I am feeling their warmth.
It's only that snobbish man who's not interacting much, the reason why I am curious of him.
I kept on looking at him and I will catch him staring back but he'd immediately frown and looked away.
Super sungit!
"What are you doing, Gab?" I heard a soft voice and I smile etched my lips when I saw Ian sitting beside me to observe.
"I'm making bracelets, Ian." I told him happily.
"Bracelets?" his gentle eyes glanced at me and I nodded. "For what?"
"For everyone," I answered. "This is my hobby kasi whenever I'm not doing anything, I want to give the people I like treats and this one is my favorite."
"You're giving us bracelets?" he asked kaya I nodded and lifted my almost done craft.
"Yes, I am happy kasi it's just my first day and I have friends na. You all are super mabait to me and I wanna say thank you so I am making one. Keep mo, ah?" I murmured and lifted the bracelet I made for him.
"Wow," his eyes glistened, "this is great."
"Para sa 'yo 'yan, Ian!" I giggled, "wear mo na, I hope it's bagay."
When he wore it, I am amazed because it fit his wrist just fine.
"You liked it?"
"Oo," he nodded, "maganda. Susuotin ko 'to palagi, kanino 'yang ginagawa mo?"
"For Owen," I answered, "this is second to the last, my last one's for Sebastian, I don't know kasi what color is good for him."
"Black, Gab." My eyes landed on G when she sat beside me.
"Black?" I asked, "for Sebastian?"
"Hmm!" he nodded, "bagay black because maitim ang budhi niya."
Ian laughed beside me, G giggled and made a high-five.
"It's a good thing naman, ano?" I inquired and she nodded, giggling.
"Yes, it's a good thing. It means good siya. A compliment. Favorite niya rin black, kasing black ng budhi niya." She answered with an amused grin.
Of course, I listened to the expert. I made a black bracelet for Sebastian and I am happy with the results.
When Lucian called us for the dinner, I was ecstatic. My arm is linked on my cousin while we're happily hopping towards the restaurant inside the ship.
Large is an understatement in describing the ship. It was massive with jaw dropping malls and stores inside. I mean, how did this fit in?!
We got inside the restaurant and I was met by a large table with different foods in the middle, mostly sea foods and Filipino cuisines. When I caught a glimpse at the boys, I roamed around and handed them the bracelets I made, making me smile because they liked and wore it.
"Sana happy kayo for that!" I smiled, "I am sorry because it's a bit not maganda but I hope you loved it!"
"We do," Owen smiled, "ganda nga, oh? Susuotin ko 'to palagi." He raised his hand to show me his wrist and the boys did that too, even G who's been wearing her pink one.
A clearing of throat stopped us. I noticed Sebastian sat beside me and frowned.
"Anong mayro'n diyan sa kamay niyo? Mukha kayong mga bata." He commented.
"Inggit ka lang," Romeo hissed, "kasi kami mayro'n, ikaw wala! Gift kaya sa 'min 'to ni Gab!"
He was frozen.
"Uh," I licked my lip, "I actually have—"
"Mga childish, kumain na nga tayo." He grumpily said, the reason why I just lowered the bracelet and hid it on my pouch, feeling shy.
I noticed the look from G and she just pouted at me and mouthed basher while pointing Sebastian sitting beside me.
I nodded and smiled, shifting my attention in the foods for us instead.
I was a bit sad but when the foods are fully served and the yummy scent filled my nostrils, I felt alive. I smiled happily when the boys put different foods on my plate while introducing it to me.
"This is kare-kare," Owen explained, "this is tasty, try it!"
I took a small taste, "OMG!" I exclaimed and stopped when we heard Sebastian choking.
"Oh, anyare?" Lucian laughed.
"Nak ng..." he coughed more, "muntik ko na malunok 'yong kutsara sa gulat no'ng OMG na 'yan."
"Hala..." I covered my mouth, "sorry, Sebastian!"
"Hayaan mo na," Romeo then showed me another meal, "hayaan mo siya mabilaukan, ang mahalaga, busog ka."
Smiling, I tasted every food they offered me and it was super sulit.
I took the crab from the plate. I know how to eat this but it's hard opening the shell so I sighed. I looked around, Romeo's gaze caught mine and he smiled and spoke.
"'Di mo mabuksan?"
"It's matigas, eh." I explained with a shy smile.
"Okay lang 'yan," he laughed, "ako na magbukas—"
"Akin na nga." The table became silent when Sebastian took the crab on my plate and effortlessly opened the shell of it and placed it on my plate. "Sobrang daldal pero hindi makabukas ng alimango."
Instead of being insulted, I felt happy. I bit my lower lip while watching him shifting his large frame for me and opened every shell of the crab I had on my plate.
"Dapat marunong ka magbukas kung matakaw ka," he lectured. "Ganyan ata talaga kapag conyo. Oh, kumain ka na. Baka mahimatay ka pa sa gutom. Pabebe pa naman mga terroristang conyo."
My heart pounded.
"You're super mabait naman pala, Sebastian." I nodded, "like na kita!" I cheered and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.
He froze.
"Ehem!" Lucian cleared his throat in the middle of silence.
"Yieee..." Romeo teased, the reason everyone laughed and my eyes widened.
"Gago." Sebastian hissed and frowned, "anong yieee—"
"Yieee...love is in the hangin!" G exclaimed, lifting the mini fan on Baste's face, making him frown more.
"Anong...anong yieee?!" he hissed, "'di ko bet mga conyo—"
"Eh, bakit namumula?" Owen teased and when I looked at Baste, he's flustered.
I bit my lower lip and caught his gaze before giving him a sweet smile. He blushed more.
The teasing entertained me. I was watching everyone making fun of Sebastian when he's blushing a lot in the dining while dismissing everything.
I thought it'll be the end of it but they asked him to take me to my private cabin but he refused. Of course, I was sad. I wanna be friends with him because he's little mermaid's sidekick but I really can't force him.
I closed my eyes, relaxing with the sound of the sea when I heard a clearing of throat, accompanied by a voice.
"Hatid na kita sa cabin mo, chaka doll." I opened my eyes when I heard that baritone voice.
The grumpy look of him welcomed me but I chose to give him a smile, "hi, Seb! Hatid mo me?"
"Anong Seb?" his brow shot up, "tara na, isasangla na kita."
Of course, I know it's a joke kaya I laughed na lang.
"Super funny ka talaga," I giggled, "Seb because Sebastian is mouthy! It's cuter that way too! Just like Ariel's sidekick."
"Sidekick, sidekick." His forehead creased, "tara na, pakain kita sa pating, eh."
He didn't say anything, he turned his back on me and I ran towards his direction, clung on his arm. He glanced at me sideways.
"Luh, feeling jowa?" he sneered.
"Eh?" I asked, "what do you mean?"
"Tss..." he shook his head, "ganyan ba talaga kulay ng mata mo? Para kang shokoy."
"It's blue," I muttered, "pretty, right? My hair's ginger!"
"Luya?" he laughed, "sa bagay, mukha ka namang luya. 'Yong si terrorista kasi mukhang sibuyas."
"Huh?"
"Wala," he answered and suddenly looked alerted. I was stunned when he gripped my waist to pull me closer to his body. "Careful, man!" he hissed and that's when I realized a drunk man almost hit me.
His palm felt so warm on my waist, his scent made me intoxicated and despite the cold wind, he gave me warmth.
"O-oh, thanks!" I smiled and he just nodded and didn't say anything.
He escorted me towards my cabin and opened it before standing in front when I got inside.
"There's an emergency button above the bed if there is an emergency. A phone is also there to ask the lobby for your needs and the number for the deck and our rooms are listed too." He gave me a small card and I took it.
"Thank you, Seb." I genuinely said, "you are all so mabait."
He didn't answer, instead, he stared at me intently while putting his palms on the pocket of his jeans.
I gulped, my cheeks heated up when I felt shy with his serious stares.
"Y-you see..." I bit my lower lip and noticed an old couple walking closer to us. "I'm thankful because you looked for me earlier. I can't give you other gifts but I hope you liked the BJ."
I heard a loud gasp from the couple and Seb's fast palm covered my mouth. His eyes are wide, my eyes too and until the couple vanished, we remained so close.
I let out a muffled groan of protest. He lowered his palm.
"Ikaw!" he sighed loudly and pulled his hair, "mag-ingat ka nga sa sasabihin mo. Anong BJ?! Hindi ka—"
"Buko juice?" I asked innocently, "'di ba, I gave you a BJ—"
"Buko juice, babae!" he warned. "Buko juice, buohin mo. Buko juice."
"Buko juice." I mouthed and he sighed, closed his eyes and massaged his temple.
"Sana 'di ko na lang hinatid ang conyo na 'to," he whispered in the air and opened his eyes. "Sige na, humimlay ka na. Sumasakit ang batok ko sa 'yo."
He turned his back on me, I panicked.
"Seb!" I exclaimed and took the bracelet from my pouch.
"Oh, ano na naman?" he asked lazily, "mukha ba 'kong Mama mo?"
"Uhm..." I cleared my throat and smiled, "kasi, I wanna give you..."
His eyes remained on mine, my heart thumped louder and how much I tried, I felt shy again.
"N-nothing pala..." I laughed lowly and gripped the bracelet more, his eyes landed on it. "Sorry, Seb. Sige, bye-bye na muna you."
I turned my back but a soft pull on my forearm stopped me. He shifted my body and when we're face to face again, he spoke.
"What...is that?" he asked curiously, staring at my closed fist.
"Nothing,"
"Open it," he murmured but I shyly gripped it more. "Tss, arte." He whispered and took my hand.
Shivers run through my spine the moment his hand touched mine. His was calloused unlike my delicate one and yet, it is soothing. Slowly, he opened my fist and the black bracelet I made for him came into view.
"Bracelet?" he asked.
"Y-yeah," I answered shyly, "j-just a salamat gift lang sana but it is childish kaya baka you don't like."
"Put it on," he showed me his wrist, stopping me from my tracks.
"R-really?!" my eyes brightened.
"Ay, ayaw maniwala?" he sneered, "mukha ba 'kong nagjo-joke?"
"Really? Like super really?!" I almost jumped in happiness.
"Ay, maarte." He frowned, "ayoko na pala—" I grabbed his hand.
"Here na!" I giggled and gently put the black bracelet on his wrist just beside his black wrist watch. "It's not too pretty kasi I did it in a super mabilis na speed but I made it with love! I hope you liked it!"
Sebastian looked at it, his eyes scanned the bracelet as he made a nod and licked his lip.
"P'wede na. Five pesos lang 'to sa tindahan nina Sakura." He murmured.
"What?"
"Wala," he shook his head, "ikaw may gawa nito? Bakit black? 'Yong sa kanila may kulay, ah? Kay Owen nga Green."
"Because black suits you," I said happily, "you know it has a meaning, that's why it's special."
"Meaning?" he curiously inquired, "anong meaning? Dapat ma-touch ako, ah?"
"Hmm, black for you because it's very likely of you. Black because maitim ang budhi mo." I said in my sweetest voice but instead of a grateful look, he gave me a poker-faced one.
