Chapter 20
You... ikaw ang father, be.
I thought even with my undeniably racing heartbeats.
Seb remained staring at her seriously. His forehead creasing as he scanned her face, his mouth parting.
"H-Hala! Bakit ka umiiyak..." he panicked. Gripping the phone on his hand, he managed to carry Melody on his one arm.
"P-Papa..." Melody kept on crying.
"Huh?" he looked so lost as he tried lifting her up. "'Di ko—he sighed—gets ba't na sa 'yo ang phone 'ko pero binata pa ko, be. Sa pagkakaalam ko... what? Shh, 'di ako m-marunong magpatahan. Teka nga, saan ba Mama mo, hmm?"
My lips trembled, seeing how our daughter hugged his nape so tight that Seb looked a lot more confused now.
"P-Papa... Pa..." she mumbled.
I opened my mouth to try and say something, to come closer but the sight was so heart whelming that I could cry in my place without hesitations.
"T-Teka, be." He mumbled, turning pale now. "Dahan-dahan lang nasasakal na 'ko baka mamatay ako rito."
But Melody wouldn't listen, she remained hugging her father's nape that Seb nodded and opened his mouth to breathe.
"S-Shh, sige na... sige na..." he mumbled, "hush now, baby. Can you loosen your grip a little? Para makahinga 'ko tapos chika tayong dalawa..."
Melody sniffed.
"Ay, sorry, Englisher ka nga pala." He sighed, "hush now, can you loosen your hug a bit, hmm? Why are you crying? Talk to me, are you lost?"
Melody then moved a bit away from him to stare at his face.
"P-Pa..." she mumbled.
Sebastian blinked rapidly, his eyes softening more while staring at her face.
"H-How..." he swallowed hard. "Bakit na sa 'yo ang phone, sinong..."
"Phone..." she answered, "mewrmaid?"
"H-Huh? Gets mo ba 'ko, be?"
"O-opow... undewrstand... 'kaw... yes." Melody answered back.
A light bulb must have lit above his head. His jaw dropped.
"Anak ng alimango..." he mumbled unbelievably and gasped dramatically, "tang ina gago, may anak ako?"
Oh, gosh! I panicked more.
"Tang..." Melody mumbled, "Pa! Ina... tang... in—"
"Bad! Bad 'yon," he panicked, "you shouldn't say that! Gagong bibig kong 'to kasi parang pang-kanal—"
"S-Seb..." I murmured in a small voice. That's when I stepped out and our eyes met.
Shock was still evident on his face as he gazed upon me before dragging his sight back to Melody and his forehead creased.
"Uy, sirena, ano 'tong..." he blurted out that I shook my head, my lips still trembling with my eyes watering.
"She's..."
"Princess!" we both jumped when I heard Hernando's voice approaching. He stopped upon seeing the three of us, stunned too but he walked closer to the two and slowly took Melody from him but she won't bulge.
"Come here, princess. Why did you escape when I asked you to wait for me, hmm? Why—"
"A-Ayaw! No! No..." she shook her head and hugged Seb much tighter while he remained staring at me for clarification.
"Come on—"
"Do not touch the kid," Seb threatened Hernando coldly when he tried taking her again. He carried her on his arms protectively and eyed me. "Care to explain, Gabriela? Why is the kid calling me that way? Why is my phone..."
"She's her highness' cousin, your majesty," before I could even say anything, Hernando spoke.
Seb's forehead creased more, filled with confusion when Austin and Sofia came running.
"Princess!" Sofia called loudly that Melody took a peek and waved her tiny hand.
"Pia..." she mumbled despite her cries and smiled widely, "p-play?"
"Y-Yes... yes," Sofia nodded nervously, watching us. "We should play, c-cousin."
"Where are her maids, then?" Austin blurted when he saw my nervous face. "Hernando, you should double the security for my cousin. What if she got lost?"
"My apologies," Hernando curtsied a little to show his apologies while Sofia's reaching on Melody's hands. "I will tighten the security for your cousin—"
"Ma! Mama Gab! Mama!" then Melody screamed out of nowhere, when she realized I was there.
I froze. I literally got rooted in my place.
"M-Ma Gab! Papa!" she called loudly, proudly showing off her father's serious face. My heart thumped harshly against my chest, wanting so bad to go out and run away from me.
Seb's eyes sharpened, it even turned colder. My stomach churned as my breathing labored.
"Seb..." I called again in desperation, readying my words of explanation when he fixed the smiling Melody on his arms and spoke.
"Where's her room?" he asked, glancing at Hernando. "I'll take her highness' cousin to her chamber."
"It's..." even Hernando was startled at his words but offered to take them. "This way to the young princess' room."
He motioned his hand. With no other words and hesitations, Seb walked to follow him. I stared at him and waited for him to ask but he only walked pass me like I was not there.
Melody's black eyes widened when she saw me being left behind that she lifted her tiny hands in the air and wiggled her body.
"N-No, Mama..." she mumbled. "I-Iwan... Iwan Mama!" she exclaimed.
I thought Seb would continue walking but he didn't. I almost lost my balance when he sighed, turned back to where I was standing and came back.
I stood there, all confused and nervous. Seb and my gaze met and he only shot his brow up at me.
"Ano na, 'te? Inaantok na 'yong pinsan mong tinatawag kang Mama tapos nakatulala ka d'yan?" he asked.
"W-Well..." I cleared my throat and sighed loudly. "S-Sorry..." I lowered my head but walked with him.
Melody didn't call me again after seeing I was walking with them. I stole glanced at my baby and her father and it melted my heart when I saw Melody whispering words I could not comprehend on his ears.
"Hmm? Hala, walang gano'n dito. Mga dugong lang o kaya dikya, be." He answered.
I heard Melody's sad sigh.
"No?" she mumbled, "no swim-swim? Sawd... ako sawd... po."
"Hala, h'wag ka na sad. Joke lang naman, serious ka naman masyado. Okay," Seb answered back in a small voice. "I'll show you mewrmeids..." he teased and chuckled.
Despite my eyes swelling with the scene, it made me chuckle. Only that it vanished when Seb glanced my way with his jaw visibly clenching.
"Ano?" he asked.
Blushing, I lowered my head and bit my lower lip.
"Nothing naman, wrong bang mag-laugh?" I asked but he only tsk-ed and fixed Melody on his arms back and walked pass me when we reached my door's room.
"This way, your highness," Hernando pointed the room and Seb stopped briefly before glancing my way and shook his head, chuckling in an empty, non-amusing tone.
"Galing naman, may sleep over 'yong pinsan sa kwarto? Sana all," he mumbled and my mouth parted, take a quick look at him but he got inside with Melody like he owned the whole room.
"Your majesty..." Hernando stopped me from entering to maybe talk.
"Alright," I sighed and nodded at my siblings, letting them get inside my room and Austin probably knew what to do. He walked with Seb and that's when Hernan called my attention again. I closed the door behind to talk.
"He probably won't know the truth, my lady." He informed me.
"How could he not?" I asked in a low voice, "she called him Papa and you've heard how she claimed and called me Mama Gab. Seb isn't that slow to figure it out..."
"The papers are definitely, with no questions proves Princess Melody's your cousin." He said, "we left no lose ends and the Duchess even manipulated the young princess' age. Even if he tried researching, I doubt he'll prove it."
"What about I..." I sighed loudly and looked around, "what if I tell him the truth? I wanted to try, you've seen how comfortable my daughter is on his arms."
"You could, my lady, but what about what you've mailed me earlier? About the duchess?" he asked and all the hopes I had vanished. "I would still do further investigations but I've seen Catherine on my way to look for the young princess."
My eyes widened. "Is that why you blurted out about her being my cousin in front of Seb?"
"Yes," he bowed a little. "My apologies for cutting you off if you attempted talking to the prince about Princess Melody but what can we do? I didn't see her again but I am sure Catherine was around earlier. She might've reported this already to the duchess so we have to think fast. His highness shouldn't know... at least not now that we're still thinking of ways to get out of this. That's just what I think to further protect the young princess but the decision will still be yours to make, my lady. The guards are working under her, that's what Duke Anton told me."
I fisted my palm tightly.
"How about we ask Duke George for help?"
"No, no..." I shook my head, "my father's condition could only worsen if he finds out about this. You know he suffered from a heart attack months ago."
"How about Duke Anton? He already gave us extra security under him, maybe we could ask..."
"He had given us enough," I answered. "Anton has been good to me, I don't want to trouble him anymore."
"But his guards could easily get outnumbered if those from the duchess made a move." He explained. "How 'bout Prince Sebastian? Looking at him and how he carried the young princess, I believe for sure that if you tell him the truth, he'll help..."
"I've done enough trouble to his highness, Hernan." I explained, "he isn't involved in this and I won't... I won't let him be in danger again because of me. I can find a way, Hernan. I'm Italy's Queen-to-be. I could try and expand my resources to protect my daughter. I won't let her anywhere near the duchess' grip."
We both fell in silence when the door opened. I was startled upon seeing Sebastian going out of my room with his creased forehead and cold gaze.
"Seb..." I called.
From me, his eyes wandered around and got stuck at Hernan before looking at me with his clenching jaw.
"Your cousin's looking for you," he let me know.
"A-Ah..." I nodded, "thank you, is she already asleep?"
"Your sister's playing with her," he answered.
I nodded, glancing at Hernando. I gave him a look and he must've understood it.
"Excuse me, your highnesses. I'll give you some private space—"
"No need, Sir." Seb answered, "I will take my leave."
My heart pounded painfully again, "why? May I ask? C-Could you at least spare me a moment, your highness? I'd like to apologize about now being able to make it to the dinner and also..."
"I'm exhausted, your highness," he answered me back and before I could even utter a word, he turned his back on me and walked away.
I watched him. He was in haste and it hurts, thinking maybe he was dying to get away from me. Did he realize Melody is his? Or... he didn't want anything to do with her?
When I went inside the room after staying to calm myself in the balcony and discuss things with Hernan, I got inside my room and saw my Melody sleeping soundly on my bed. She was tucked in my sheets, her red hair spreading around my pillow.
My eyes stung.
I walked towards my blessing, laid down beside her and made her rest on my arms.
"M-Ma..." she mumbled.
"O-Oh, I'm so sorry, my baby." I whispered, "did Mama wake you u-up, hmm?"
"Sleewpy..." she mumbled, "Mewlowdy... sleewpt..."
"Sleepy ang Melody ni Mama Gab?" I whispered and caressed her hair, "alright, my love. Sleep ka lang here sa arms ni Mama, want me to sing a song to you?"
"Hmm..." she nodded, her sleepy black eyes gazing upon me. "Pa? Papa? Play, Mewlowdy?"
My chest squeezed. Of course, Melody would know who her Papa is. She's in possession of his father's phone for years. We watched little mermaid and spongebob there together, we scrolled around the photos taken, together.
"W-Well... Papa is quite busy," I answered, "b-but don't worry, baby. I'll do my best to talk to Papa para play kayo."
She showed me her adorable, small smile. She lifted her tiny hand and caressed my cheek.
"Mamats..." she uttered, "mamats, Ma Gab."
"A-Anything for you, my blessing," my voice broke. "Anything for you..."
She showed me her Papa's phone. I took it from her, scrolled and smiled when I saw the favorite soundtrack we used to sing around. I sang this before while I was pregnant with her and everytime I'd do, she'd kick inside my womb.
"Look at this stuff, isn't it neat? Wouldn't you think my collection's complete?" I started singing in a soft voice. "Wouldn't you think I'm the girl... the girl who has everything?"
"I've got gadgets and gizmos a-plenty! I've got whozits and whatzits galore! You want thingamabobs?" I stared at her gently. "I've got..."
"Twenty!" she exclaimed cutely. I chuckled adorably.
"But who cares? No big deal! I want moreee!" we loudly sang altogether.
I went inside the room with a heavy heart but seeing my blessing? I slept with a peaceful one.
However, when I woke up the next morning, a commotion welcomed me.
I immediately kept my daughter and siblings safe by putting guards for their safety and went out.
"What's the matter, Hernan?"
"My apologies, your majesty," he bowed a little. "But the duchess and Catherine's wanting to talk to you."
"And?" my forehead creased, "what is it? Where are they?"
"That's just..." he sighed, "new bunch of guards came and they wouldn't let them in."
"What?" my forehead creased, "who would dare stop them from entering? Except those of Anton's, the guards are under them, right?"
"That's what I'm confused about." He answered me.
I didn't ask for more. I went out of my room, only to find the enraged duchess with Catherine outside. They're being stopped from entering by the guards. And like what Hernan said, they are new!
"Excuse me..." I called and the guards in their alerted stance immediately curtsied.
"Your majesty..." they greeted.
"There you are! Who are these idiots, Gabriela?! How dare them stop the duchess from entering?!" Catherine exclaimed.
I was confused, too. I looked around and saw who may be the head of those guards and he just nodded at me.
I was lost but I am no idiot to use this in my advantage. They may from Anton or my father and so, I raised my chin up and watched the two.
"Please, come in," I uttered in a formal voice.
The duchess eyed me seriously while Catherine did all the talking. They marched inside and the guards followed.
"Don't tell me they're gonna listen to the talk, Gabriela?" the duchess asked.
I pursed my lips. I glanced at Hernan and nodded. He understood and proceeded into talking to the new guards and we entered a private office inside my cabin to talk.
It doesn't shock me anymore when they started ranting and discussing things—no, it's more like demanding. They asked me who those guards are. The duchess was enraged and threatened to sue them for stopping her but I remained unbothered. Even if I was lost like them.
"Did you tell the prince about your bastard daughter?" her voice was shaking, in visible rage.
"You do not have the right to call my daughter names, duchess. I respect you but this respect has limits. If I heard you—any of you two—called her names again, I won't be even sorry for losing the ample amount of respect remaining for you."
They would always look at me as a weakling if I won't show my authority. I still have my respect for her but knowing she never even treated me like a daughter and calling my blessing with those awful words was maddening and painful.
"I will let George know about this!" she exclaimed angrily. "Who gave you the right now to fight against me? I am your mother!"
"Oh, are you now?" I folded my arms on my chest to watch her face.
"Gabriela!" Catherine gasped, "you do not have respect—"
"You made me lose mine first," I answered, watching the duchess' enraged eyes. "Do not use that mother thing in front of me again. We both know you had never treated me one, it came from you directly, my lady."
"How dare you..." she gasped, pointing me. "I will let your father know how disrespectful his daughter is!"
"Then, please, be my guest." I smiled coldly.
Her mouth parted. Even Catherine was stunned with the way I acted. The duchess trembled in anger.
"How dare you..." she gasped loudly, "I'm not yet done with you, woman! You are to get wed with the duke, do not dare going against me. I'm warning you!"
She marched out of my room in anger. Catherine even slammed the door angrily and shouted at the guards outside. The duchess threatened to sue and when they left, I spoke to the head and asked who sent them, only to get a vague answer.
"We can't tell, my lady," he answered. "But rest assured we meant no harm. We are just hear to help and protect the young princess and you."
I immediately assumed it was my father. However, when I got the chance to talk, I realized he wasn't aware of anything. He asked me how was I, and that he heard Melody's on board. He offered to lend some of his personal guards and it made me realize it wasn't from him.
Some maids called me for breakfast. Someone sent foods for my blessing and my siblings after they called me to eat but saw my friend while I'm on my way, probably waiting for me to go out of my room.
"Anton?" I mumbled, smiling at him while walking closer.
"My lady," he greeted and smiled. "Good morning."
"Hello, Anton. Good morning," I greeted back. "How's your sleep? My apologies for the commotion last night. I know you're tired but you still helped us looking for Melody."
"No worries, I'm concerned too about the little Gab." He teased, I chuckled. "However, I heard the prince saw her? If I'm not mistaken? I didn't dare check again when I heard Melody's safe and found. I don't want to disturb such talk, are you two okay now? I've seen him earlier, busier and grumpier as ever."
"Well, Sebastian isn't him if he isn't grumpy." I commented. We ended up chuckling. "But nope, we still haven't talk. I would once I got the chance. For now, I wanted to thank you for lending us more security. It means a lot to us, Anton."
"Huh?" he stopped, "I... did?"
My mouth parted, "you didn't?!"
"If this was before, you're welcome. I'm glad to help but if you're talking about recently then..." he shot me a confused look, "or I just forgot? I don't know, let me refresh..." he stopped. "But there's nothing to refresh, Gab."
"It if wasn't your or my father then who..."
"Ano na? Kanina pa tinatawag na kakain, tamang chika lang? Eating time, hindi chika minute." A grumpy tone stopped us from talking.
When I looked back, I saw the very tang ina Sebastian on his black shirt, and khaki shirts walking to us with his annoyed expression.
"Beautiful umaga, Seb!" I greeted nervously.
"Beautiful umaga ka d'yan..." he mumbled, "walang beautiful sa umaga kung kakasikat pa lang ng araw tsismis ang agahan n'yo."
I pursed my lips, "we aren't having chika naman—"
"Kakain na, ano, d'yan ka lang?" he asked then sighed. "Kumain ka na ro'n, masarap 'yong agahan."
"A-Alright..." I nodded and stared at his face but then he avoided my gaze and walked passed me.
"Gab? Hello, Gab! Magandang morning!" I heard a sing-song, making me smile widely when I saw my cousin with Lucian and Magnus waving cutely at me.
"Beautiful umaga, G! Lucian and baby Magnus!" I cheered.
"Mawjewsty!" Magnus greeted, making me giggle when he curtsied cutely.
I walked with the three of them, seeing Anton smirking from the distance while talking to Sebastian's annoyed face.
"Buenos dias, el primo," he greeted Seb.
"Hindi maganda ang umaga kung mukha mo makikita ko, Anton." He spat back like Anton could understand him. I heard G chuckled.
"Gago talaga 'tong si Baste, walang sinasanto 'yong bibig," Lucian commented. It made me smile.
"Huh? Sorry, your highness. I couldn't quite understand you, I'm really not that good with Tagalog."
"Nothing, I'm just saying we should talk in English instead, can we?" he asked with a grimace.
"Oh, sure, no worries, el primo." He tapped Seb's shoulders, smiling.
They're the same height, just that, Anton's a bit slimmer that him.
"El primo ka pang nalalaman d'yan sabing h'wag na ngang mag-usap ng Espanyol at nahihilo ako. Sige, kapag isa pang el primo mo d'yan gagawin na lang kitang pampalaman ng Spanish bread."
"Huh? Sorry again—"
"I'm just saying we should speak only in English from now on if you don't want me dying at this age for blood loss." He explained.
"Why would you have loss blood, then?" he asked, concerned. "Would you like me to tell her highness? Are you not feeling well? They will be worried if—"
"Napaka-OA hindi kasi gano'n..." he explained then sighed, "amputa, English pala. I mean, not literally, I might suffer from nose bleedening if you or everyone tried speaking to me in Spanish. I understand but I'm not that good with it. I was born in the Philippines, I have only the knowledge in Tagalog and English."
"Naks, talino yern?! Sana all!" G exclaimed.
Seb brutally turned his back at us, "ano? Anong sabi mo, terrorista? Suntukan na lang—"
"Sebastian..." Lucian called loudly that he frowned annoyingly.
"Inaaway ako, Cap! Mawawalan na nga 'ko ng dugo kaka-Ingles dito sa mga alien tapos 'yang asawa mo pang dahilan bakit ako naghihirap ngayon kinakampihan mo? How 'bout me?" he clutched his chest.
I bursted out laughing, only to stop when Seb eyed me seriously and shot his brow up.
"Tawang-tawa, Gabriela? Saya 'yan?" he spat brutally.
"Ewan ko sa 'yo, Baste." Lucian laughed. "Umagang-umaga shotgun na 'yang bibig mo, kumain ka na, gutom lang 'yan."
"Cap!"
"Yes, correct ka d'yan, Luci-patootie!" G answered and giggled, "right, baby Magnus?"
"Yes..." Magnus smiled cutely, "bad, Tito! Don't away Mom! Bad!" he said in a funny and incoherent tone but we understood it.
"Hays, pati tuloy 'yong pamangkin ko conyo na," Seb sighed loudly. "Sasabog na utak ko, kagabi pa 'ko kumakausap ng mga conyo..."
"Kain ka na, hungry lang 'yan," G tapped Seb's shoulder when we got closer. "And hey, assist naman my cousin. Grabe naman you, parang nothing naman na pinagsamahan?"
Seb frowned, "pa'no pag ayaw ko?"
"Edi don't?" G shrugged, "let's just ask Anton here who's really a gentleman to accompany her highness in the breakfast hall—"
"Lumayas kayo. Lumayas!" he shooed them, "Anton, come with them for breakfast. Pakabusog ka do'n ta's humimlay. Lumayas na kayong lalahat ang sasakit n'yo sa lungs."
His attitude could immediately make girls feel turned off but not on my case. I remained smiling while watching Seb in his creased forehead and annoyed face. He even put his palms on his waist as if he's in deep problem when he shifted his face and saw me smiling brightly.
Slowly, the crease faded. His expression even turned softer but he masked it by his pursed red lips.
"Ano bang ngiti 'yan, chaka doll. Creepy." He mumbled and rolled his eyes.
I chuckled.
"Seb, uhm, could we talk?" I asked, "about last night—"
"Kinain ba nila 'yong agahan?" he asked. I froze.
"O-Oh," my heart jumped. "You sent the foods?"
He pursed his lips and nodded, "hindi ako sigurado anong gustong pagkain ni... no'n pinsan mo kaya... nagpaluto ako no'ng lahat ng masarap."
Cousin... so, he didn't assume, right? He must've thought she really is my cousin! It was legal in the papers!
"Thank you," I can't help it but felt touched at his concern, "she liked everything, especially the crabs?"
"Gusto niya ng alimango?" he asked curiously.
"Hmm..." I nodded, "actually, your phone was with her because..." I hesitated.
"Alam ko," he answered me back.
My mouth slightly parted, my heart thumped harsher now. "How did you..."
"Pinahiram mo 'no?" he answered and shrugged, "para 'di na lang ikaw mag-isa ang mag-aadik sa little mermaid?"
My hopes died with it.
He really didn't know...
"A-Ah, yes," I answered in a small voice instead. "Para I have someone other than me na y-you know? Na favorite si Ariel and Spongebob? I-I don't want her to experience the childhood I had so I shared it w-with her. I hope, I hope you don't mind?"
He didn't answer so I tilted my head to meet his gaze again and he was just staring intensely and deeply at me.
"I don't, Gabriela." He moistened his lower lip. "Not at all..."
We walked side-by-side to the breakfast hall and found a seat. I readied a smile to greet the boys when I realized some men here are familiar to me, mostly that man who talked to us before.
The valet.
He's with a woman, even those familiar faces I've seen has women and kids with them and G was there, chuckling.
"Yes! I haven't seen you in a few months, ah? Don't you miss me?" she asked with a pout.
"We missed you, of course." A woman with brave black eyes smirked, "wala na raw conyong kausap si Zire."
"You're a mean girl na rin, Sera?" she asked with a teasing pout that they ended up laughing and teasing each other.
Oh, that must have been her friends from Lucian's side. I can't help but smile while watching them, happy for my cousin. It's such a blessing and a miracle to have such wonderful and truthful friends. Mostly in our lives.
We are deprived of childhood, of youth and seeing her finally experiencing having such large group of friends melted my heart.
"Mga pinsan ni Cap 'yan tapos mga asawa't-anak nila," a voice stopped me from watching. I glanced at Seb and he's staring at me intently.
"O-Oh..." I nodded, "they looked fun to be with. I'm just watching kasi I'm happy for G. Like me, she's been caged inside the palace for years. I'm glad she had a large group of friends."
He remained staring at me. My heart pounded and stared back, nervous by the way he's looking at me but pleased too because of the attention he's been giving me.
"Gusto mo?" he inquired.
"What?"
"Ako?" he asked. It left me with my eyes widening. My heart rumbled.
"O-Of course," I mumbled, "why can't I..."
"I-I mean," he cleared his throat, "gusto mo a-akong dalhin ka sa kanila?" his cheek reddened.
Oh... I bit my lower lip in embarrassment.
That's it, Gab! Nothing else, oh, God. You've been assuming so much!
He tilted his head and watched me closer. I can smell his perfume and when I lowered my head, I saw the bracelet I made on his wrist beside his watch.
It pained me but I gave him a smile and nodded, "s-sure, let's go," I mumbled and stood.
Only that a gasp left afterwards after he pulled me back on my chair and pulled me closer to his body. My breath labored. When I shifted my head and realized my face's a way much closer on his that my nose got touched with his lips when I moved.
"S-Sorry!" I blurted in shock and was about to move away when he caged me again on my chair, making me lean back at him.
"Mamaya na, Gabriela. 'Di pa tayo tapos." He whispered huskily on my ear.
Oh, God. Oh, God. please stop this hyperventilating heart!
I fisted my palm, "y-your majesty..."
"How many times do I have to tell you to quit on calling me that way?" he whispered, "I'm Sebastian, Gabriela. Your Sebastian."
My Sebastian... My Sebastian?!
I tilted my head up to look at him, flustered.
"Your majesty..."
"Isang majesty mo pa d'yan mamamaga 'yang labi mo sa halik ko, makikita mo," his forehead creased.
My heart raced more.
"E-Edi m-majesty?" I mumbled nervously, staring at him bravely when his eyes squinted and moved much closer until I'm having a whiff of his coffee scented breath.
"Ang harot, gustong-gustong mahalikan, Gabriela?" he asked seriously. I shyly licked my lower lip and gulped.
"N-No, ah! I'm just being respectful lang. Is it masama?" My lips trembled. "Feeling you naman, your majesty." I emphasized.
His eyes darkened. He leaned in much closer until our chests touched and he towered me.
"Ang kulit-kulit," his gaze fell on my lips. My stomach churned when he touched my chin briefly and tilted it up until our lips levelled. "Kapag ikaw talaga hinalikan ko..."
"Sige nga," I challenged. "Puro naman you threat tapos you won't do it naman. Scared ka, 'no?"
"Huh..." he chuckled lowly, "ako, takot? Ako pa talaga, Gabriela?" he asked darkly.
"Eh, I'm calling you your majesty and you won't do it, anyway. Just admit you're scared lang, eh—"
He moved his face closer. His lips touched the tip of my nose.
I definitely felt butterflies lurking inside my stomach. My eyes shut close as I was anticipating for his kisses, waiting to have a taste of his sweet ones again.
I felt him moved closer, I tilted my head up more so he could kiss me properly when he whispered.
"Sa lahat ba naman ng magagandang pangalan, talagang pinag-collab mo pa si Spongebob at Little Mermaid?" he whispered.
I opened my eyes immediately in shock, seeing him staring at me darkly.
"Really, Gabriela? Pearl Melody, hmm?" he smirked.
