21 Shocking Truth
Part 21 Shocking Truth
Khushi frowned, looking at Rishab, who walked past, then turned to look at her. Arnav closed the door and smiled at her.
"Why does he look at me like that?" Khushi asked.
"He could not believe his daughter really brought a girl for her husband."
"It would be truly tough to believe for anyone..." Khushi said, making a face.
"Yes, who would do that? No one would but only his daughter. That's what made him shocked." Arnav said irritably.
"Poor him..." Khushi felt bad for him.
"Don't pity him. Because of this one man, I'm suffering in my life. If he had brought up her daughter correctly, my life would not have been bitter..." he said disappointedly.
"If that's the case, I should thank him for not raising his daughter correctly..." she said in a low tone.
Arnav rolled his eyes and chuckled.
"That's why I'm in your life. Right?" She asked.
"Khushi, you are destined to be in my life. So, it would have happened in any way." Arnav said.
"Do you believe such things, too?" She asked unbelievably.
"Usually, I won't..., but now I have no choice..."
"Why?"
"It's because it's about you. Just think, a girl chased me in my college, having a lot of love in her heart, but I didn't even meet her. When I was supposed to meet her, my father had fixed my wedding with Nandhini. So, I dropped the idea of meeting the girl. I got married to Nandhini, who didn't give me and our relationship a heed. Now, she herself brought you to me because she was not ready to accept me as her husband. We got married and are living happily. What would we name this?"
"Are you thinking all of these?" she asked with a fainting smile.
"Why won't I think? This is how I want my life to be. With satisfaction and enjoyment. You know how my life was before you stepped in?"
"But you can't declare me as your wife to the world. We can't roam freely, but spending in this room... don't you feel bad about it?" she asked. Arnav understood that she felt bad about it.
"Of course, I feel too bad..."
"Shall we elope?" she asked hesitatingly.
Arnav looked at her, flinching back.
"Will you elope with me?" he asked smilingly.
She nodded yes hurriedly, without thinking.
"Do you know how risky it is?"
"It's risky, but if we escape, our lives will be so delightful." She said excitedly.
"I thought you didn't have a gut, but you are ready to elope..."
"You are with me... It will give me gut..."
Arnav felt delighted.
"Do you think I wouldn't have thought about leaving this place? Or, would I be sitting in this bungalow, staring at the Yamuna River if I had a chance to do that?"
She leaned on his shoulder, circling his bicep.
"I'm scared...what if Didi gets to know about our relationship? She won't bear it if she knows we are happy." She was scared.
"How does she get to know? She will learn about relationship progress only through you. If you are firm, she will not learn. But, soon, I will find a way to get out of this place... I promise."
"But how could you do that?"
"I will... but I need some time,"
"Please, be careful, Arnavji..."
"I will be careful. I'm just worried about my father. Or else, I won't mind killing Nandhini..." he said furiously.
"Please don't do that. Your life is precious to me. In the process of destroying her, please don't spoil your life." She pleaded.
Arnav kissed her knuckle and nodded.
"She will come in a day or two..." She pouted and looked at him, who gulped hard.
"Don't be so hard on her..."
Cutting her off,
"Why? Will she break my leg?" he asked sarcastically.
She held his hand tight, feeling scared. Arnav pecked her hair lovingly.
"Are you ready?"
"For?"
"To elope with me?"
"I'm ready, but what about your father and your business?"
"I will take care of him..."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, we will elope... no... we don't elope. Why should we elope like cowards? We will leave this place daringly."
Khushi nodded ok, gladly.
"We will live our lives with heads up. Everything will be all right..." Arnav said.
Khushi nodded smilingly and asked,
"When will it happen?"
"I will make the needed arrangements and tell you."
"I think we should have decided that before itself."
"Why?"
"Didi is not in the country. We could have done that easily in her absence." She said thoughtfully.
"No, Khushi, you underestimated her. We can do that in her presence easily than in her absence." Arnav said.
"Is it?"
"Yes, her men would be more watchful in her absence."
"I see... it seems she is a more dangerous woman than I thought..."
"Undoubtedly..."
"Could you take me out of this place when she is here? How could you do that, tackling her men?"
"Mmm... I will think about it and plan."
Khushi sighed.
"Trust me, I will surely do something," Arnav said.
"I trust you..." she smiled, and the smile spread to his face too.
That was when Aman called Arnav. Arnav wondered to see him calling at this hour. Usually, Aman would call him only at night. It was their unwritten rule. He took a few steps away and attended the call. As he didn't want Khushi to know that they were friends.
"Aman, why are you calling me at this hour? Is everything all right?" Arnav asked in a low tone.
"I want to tell you an important matter. That's why I called you." Aman said.
"Tell me, Aman..."
"Nandhini is in Switzerland now..."
Arnav was confused. Switzerland? Did she go to Switzerland? But what deal was she dealing there?
"Is it? Did she go to Switzerland for a deal?"
"She is in Switzerland but not there for official work..."
"What do you mean, not for official work? I didn't get you."
"She is there unofficially..."
"Unofficially means?"
"She is enjoying her trip with Natasha..."
Arnav frowned. Was Aman hinting at something?
"How did you know what she was doing there?"
"My man went to Switzerland, following Nandhini..."
"How did you know she was going to Switzerland? Didn't she keep it secretly?"
"The Airport Authority is my client. I found it out through him. So, I sent a man there to know what she was doing there that she didn't want me to know."
"Wow, that's great...did you learn what she was doing there?"
"Yes, and I got something there that can change the whole story upside down..."
"What are you talking about?"
"The point I got there is enough for us to get a divorce from her..."
"I already have many reasons to get a divorce from her, but she was not ready to give it to me..."
"You don't have to mind about what she wants any more..."
"Don't beat around the bush and tell me the matter..."
"I sent you a video... check it... I will stay on the line..."
"Oh, wait..."
Arnav checked the video and was shocked to see Nandhini and Natasha kissing passionately, in a compromising position.
To be continued...
