Chapter Two: The Five Leaf Grimiore Devil
Asta stares at the red glowing grimiore in shock.
Reaching his hand out, he grabs the book and looks at it curiously.
It's black and beat up and it has a five leaf clover on the cover.
A five leaf grimiore?
The leaves of a clover are said to each contain one thing.
In the first three dwell integrity, hope, and love.
The fourth leaf, is given over to good luck.
And in the fifth...
There lives the devil.
Asta opens the grimiore just to notice that the pages are empty and is confused.
Suddenly, he passes out.
Inside Asta's Mind:
Asta looks around the surprisingly red void inside of his subconscious.
I expected my subconscious to be a black void. Not a red one.
He thinks before a deep inhuman like voice rings out from behind him.
"Hello. Nice to see ya."
Asta turns around slowly and he sees a gigantic black inhuman silhouette with an evil sharp toothed grin.
"What the heck are you?!" Asta asks freaks out.
The figure chuckles demonically.
"I am a devil. I've been sealed away inside the five leaf grimiore, that you just got, for quite a while now."
"A devil huh? It's nice to meet you I guess. I'm Asta of Hage Village." Asta introduces himself.
The devil could see that Asta was not afraid of it.
How interesting. Though I can also see this human has a lot of anger. Perhaps I can manipulate him so I can have a way of getting my revenge.
Fighting back a maniacal laughter, the devil starts speaking again.
"I can sense your anger, Asta. And I can help you get what you want. I can help you become the Wizard King."
Asta looks at the devil in shock.
"You can?" He asks wanting confirmation that he heard correctly.
"I can indeed. Though I want something in return." The devil explains to Asta.
"Alright. It's a deal. What is it you want?" Asta asks curiously.
"I'll get back to you on that. Let's just say for now, you owe me a favor." The devil says as his eyes glow with mischievous intent.
Asta can't help but grin. A grin that is matching the look in his eyes.
A look filled with future darkness that has started to grow and will eventually be the Clover Kingdoms future downfall.
