31 Khushi's Decision
Part 31
Arnav was standing at the terrace, looking at the stars. When Raizadas adopted him, Ratna used to say, seeing he depressed, that, his parents will be looking at him, being in the form of starts. He always remembers her words, whenever he feels dejected.
Arnav (in mind): Mom, Dad, Khushi is hurt, because of me. She misunderstood me. I can't tolerate that. I love her mom.... I love her so much. I can never hurt her. I want her... I want her in my life... I want to make her happy. I want to show her the other side of life which is full of happiness. She is my treasure. I can't lose her. Please make her understand me.
KR Hospital
Khushi was resting on the bed closing her eyes. Tears flowing from the corner of her eyes. She didn't feel to wipe it. Her eye balls are moving inside the closed eyes. Seems like, she is thinking about something sensitive. Of course, what else it could be, other than Arnav? Till she got her consciousness, she has been thinking about Arnav. The words which uttered by Arvind were echoing in her head. Not echoing... but hammering her head.
Taking deep breath, she calmed herself and started analysing the issue....
Khushi(in mind): The decision of ending my life was right? Why did I do that stupidity? How would Arnav be feel? ARNAV...... What's all this? What I heard can be true? Why Arvind uncle said so? Is Arnav using me as bait? How could it be possible? Don't I know how Arnav is? But what the bloody issue is this? Didn't Arvind uncle say that Arnav is the one who is behind Gupta's soap quality issue? He was right, it is business. Being rival of Guptas, Arnav might do that. But... Arnav can never cheat me. Then why didn't he say anything to me? Can't he share anything with me? (pause) But.... What if Arvind uncle is right? (she jerked. She felt tug in her heart. She couldn't even think of it. She wanted to shout, "NOOOOOO".)My Arnav can't be a cheater. He shouldn't. If he is shady, I will end my life for sure. Can't I end my life, this time successfully? But how could I know the truth? (she gasped) If Arnav is loyal, he will prove that, by hook or by crook. Until I know the truth in fullest, I won't talk to him. No matter how hard he tries. I want to know the truth. Let see, how hard he works to mend me. (pause) Will he mend me? Hey Devi Maiya....
She came to the final decision of not talking to Arnav, until she knows the truth. Or Arnav tells the truth. She closed her eyes relaxing.
One particular thing amazed her. That's Gupta's reaction on this matter. They didn't even ask her about, why she came to the area. They didn't show anger nor did their disappointment which amazed her. Garima spends most of the time in the Hospital. She even started taking care of Khushi which never happened before. Those made Khudhi wonder and also happy.

Arnav was on the bed, thinking about tomorrow's meeting with Khushi. His thought got interrupted by a call. It was from Aman. Arnav sat on the bed and attended it immediately.
Arnav: Hello Aman...
Aman: Arnav, tomorrow 11:30am you are going to meet Khushi. Come to the Hospital.
Arnav: What about Guptas?
Aman: Shashi Gupta will be in a conference from 11:00am and Garima Gupta is going to attend a function in her Ladies Club. So, that will be the right time for your meet. Be at time.
Arnav: But, how Shashi Gupta became carefree?
Aman: Who said, he is carefree? He tightened the security into double. And there is a camera in Khushi's room's entrance.
Arnav: Then how will I meet Khushi?
Aman: Well, see the magic tomorrow.
Arnav: Yup.
They cut the call.
Next day
Arnav reached the Hospital before 11:30am. He went to second floor where Khushi is being admitted. He sat on the iron chair. Looking at his watch again and again, he was waiting for Aman.
Suddenly the Hospital got heated up. Arnav frowned seeing hospital staffs rushing here and there. That's when the elevator got opened and the famous politician Mr. Suman Mathur came out of it followed by Aman. Arnav dropped his jaw seeing Aman's father in the Hospital. Aman smiled seeing Arnav who was standing like a statue. SUMAN MATHUR? How come he is here? Suman's sight fell on Arnav.
Suman: Arnav.... You here?
Aman: our college mate is also admitted here Dad. I think he is here to see her. Right Arnav?
Arnav( nodding yes): Yes uncle.
Suman: How is she?
Arnav: I couldn't meet her uncle as the security is very tight.
Suman(raising his eye brows): Security? Who is she?
Aman: Shashi Gupta's daughter.
Suman(widening his eyes): Ohhh... that's the matter? Of course... Gupta's won't allow Raidazas. No wonder.
Aman: But she is our friend Dad. She met with an accident.
Suman(sadly): Ohh... do you want to meet her?
Arnav and Aman nodded yes.
Chief Doctor of the hospital rushed to welcome Suman Mathur.
CD: Welcome sir.
Suman: I'm here to see my friend who is admitted here due to heart attack.
Arnav surprised. Suman is here to meet his friend? Is it a coincident? Doctor didn't know about whom Suman is talking.
Aman: Mr. Mishra. He is my father's friend.
CD: Ohh... please come sir.
Suman: Before meeting Mishra, I would like to meet Ms. Gupta.
Arnav hopped inwardly.
CD: She is also in this floor only sir. Please come.
Suman showed his palm to his fellows from following him. When they entered into the corridor of Khushi's room, the security guards became alert. It was not hard for them to identify who is coming. Head security guard came towards them and saluted.
Aman: How is Khushi?
Guard: She is fine sir.
Suman: I want to meet her.
Guard: Sure sir. Please come.
He took them to Khushi's room. Aman winked at Arnav. Arnav's shock was not estimated. Did Aman purposely bring his father to make him meet Khushi? That's why he told that the securities themselves will take you to Khushi's room? Arnav smiled at him thankfully as he made his words come true that, "the security guards themselves will take you to Khushi's room".
Khushi was laying on the bed, keeping her hand on her forehead. She jerked at the door opening sound. She saw the famous politician Suman Mathur standing in front of her. Though she know he is Aman's father she didn't expect his arrival.
Her expression changed seeing Arnav. Her eyes automatically got filled with tears.
Suman: How are you beti?
Khushi composed herself gulping. She tried to get up. Laxmi helped her to sit.
Suman: No beta, please stay laid.
Khushi(in feeble tone): It's ok uncle.
Suman: I don't know Shashi Gupta's daughter is Aman's friend. (Khushi smiled at him voluntarily) I got to know that your marriage got fixed with Rohit.
Khushi looked at him shockingly because she know nothing about it.
She switched her gaze at Arnav who was already looking at her with intensive gaze.
Suman: what to say? Shashi Gupta never hear anyone. May God bless you beta.
Suman left the room to meet his friend Mishra who is admitted in the same Hospital with fake Heart Attack, on Aman's request.
Arnav sat on the bed whereas Khushi was looking down.
Arnav: Khushi....
She didn't raise her head but cried. He lifted her chin up. Laxmi got panicked seeing a guy touching Khushi.
Laxmi: Excuse me, who are you?
Arnav's angry glare at her mixed her stomach up. Aman gestured her to stay back. She took back steps nervously.
Arnav(cupping her face): Khushi.... Look at me.
Khushi closed her eyes refusing to look at him. She wanted to stay strong in her oath, that until she know everything completely, she won't talk to Arnav. So, she was closing her eyes tightly. If she see his face for once, she couldn't hold herself from hugging him. Of course she badly wanted to hug him. But how could Arnav keep her in dark? For that, he has to bear this.
Arnav: Khushi, won't you trust me? Do you think, I can hurt you? (she felt his vulnerable voice) can I use you as bait? Look at me... Khushi....
Nope. She didn't.
Arnav (gulped hard): ok fine. Just remember. You had my promise. And you know, about which promise I'm talking. Will see you soon.
He pressed his lips on her forehead strongly and left the room with Aman. Laxmi as well as security-head stood there, doing nothing but shivering. What would they say if Shashi Gupta got to know about this drama?
Khushi looked at Laxmi who seemed frozen. She again laid on the bed closing her eyes making Laxmi amazed. She was horror-stuck seeing Khushi acting cool.
Khushi's lips were delivering adorable smile continuously. Arnav was here... to meet her... he wanted to talk to her. It was not hard for her to understand that how much effort he would have put to meet her. She is not that dumb not to understand after seeing Suman Mathur with him. He looked vulnerable. Of course he was... Does it matter? Is it enough to mend things which made their life upside down? Big No. He has to clear everything if he wants her to talk to him like before. She couldn't act casual being in dark. She was firm in her decision, unaware of the truth, that what Arnav will do if she don't talk to her.
Gupta Industries
Shashi Gupta got thunder-stuck hearing the news of Suman Mathur's visit to KR Hospital. Especially, his meet with Khushi. Like Guptas and Raizadas, Mathurs and Negis were rivals in politics. What will Nagis think, if they came to know about Suman's arrival?
Shashi: Suman Mathur met Khushi...? Why?
Manager: His son Aman Mathur is Khushiji's college mate sir. While meeting his friend Mishra, Suman Mathur also visited Khushiji with his son.
Shashi scrunched his brows. He didn't feel anything right.
Shashi: Call the Head Security.
Manager nodded yes and dialled the Head Security. He received it.
HS: yes sir...
Shashi snatched the phone.
Shashi: Who visited Khushi today?
HS (nervously): Suman Mathurji....
Shashi: Did he come to meet her purposely?
HS: He visited Khushi Ma'am when he came to meet his friend Mishraji.
Shashi: Who were with him?
HS (wiping his sweat): His son and his Friend.
Shashi: Who is he?
HS: I don't know sir.
Shashi: Take his pic from CCTV footage and send it to me... immediately.
HS: Sure sir....
Shashi cut the call and waited. Within few minutes, he received the pic which he asked the head security.
Today, we got the chance to know one thing, that Shashi Gupta like "heartless man" also has HEART, as its thudding sound is audible to us. He closed his eyes tightening his jaws, seeing Arnav in that pic. He sat pressing his forehead. So Arnav is not alone. He has Mathur's helping hand. Arnav isn't what he calculated. If he could bring Suman Mathur to Hospital to meet Khushi, don't know what else he could do.
Shashi (looking at his manager): Ask the Doctor to discharge Khushi. If she need medical support, ask him to send a doctor to GH every day to check her progress. I don't want her to stay at Hospital anymore.
Manager: Yes sir...
He dialled the Doctor of KR hospital and recite, what Shashi told him. Though the Doctor was hesitant at first he couldn't go against Shashi Gupta. He completed all the formalities of discharge.
Shashi Gupta was little relieved. He could keep Khushi completely under his shadow. No one dare to enter GH, definitely not Arnav. Because Arnav isn't an idiot to take risk.
Of course Arnav is not an idiot to enter GH. Doesn't mean he won't enter anywhere. What Shashi Gupta knows about Arnav's plan? That he will take risk, putting his life in risk?

Aman saw Arnav wiping his tears, before it touches his cheek, which he couldn't control. His Khushi refused to talk to him. Means, she is not believing him. Means, she believed Arvind's words. Means, she is thinking that he used her as bait. Means, her trust on him got broken. He gulped hard gritting his teeth.
Aman: Relax Arnav.
Arnav (bursting): How could I? She was not ready to talk to me damn it.
Aman: She is in stress. She faced an unpleasant situation which she ever dreamt of. Give her some time. I think, she will call you after getting discharged. Because, she can't be quiet without talking to you. If she doesn't talk, then decide what to do. So just wait and see, how she acts.
