6 I liked him
Part 6 I like him
"Hi, babe... why are we banging again and again?" Rajesh moved a step closer to Khushi.
Without answering, Khushi tried to leave, but he again blocked her way.
"I think we have some invisible connections within..." Rajesh grinned.
"Connection my foot... move away..." Khushi said, heated up.
"I'm ready to move somewhere else... with you... if you are ready..."
"Mind your tongue... I will break your teeth." She warned.
"Really? Do it... Eeeee..." He grinned, showing his teeth. His facial expression changed when Arnav entered between him and Khushi and pushed him.
"She is not a dentist to show your teeth. There is no dentist in this hotel either. Go and search somewhere..." Arnav said.
"Oh... the brilliant Arnav Singh Raizada... who bagged the deal with no profit... correction... with loss..." he said sarcastically.
Khushi closed her eyes because she, too, taunted him for the same. She opened her eyes, jerking, hearing Arnav asking,
"Who said I don't get profit in the deal?"
Rajesh looked at him, frowning.
"Don't cover up your stupidity with some useless excuses, ASR..."
"I have no necessity to cover it up, and definitely not for you. If you aren't really stupid, you will find out how I don't lose. Take your time and think..."
Arnav looked at Khushi and said,
"Let's go..."
"Who are you to come in between? Who is she to you?" Rajesh held Arnav's hand and asked.
Khushi looked at Arnav to know his reply. She didn't know what he would say. Arnav removed Rajesh's hand and said,
"Friend..." Clutching Khushi's hand, Arnav walked off.
Khushi walked with him proudly, and Rajesh stood thoughtfully.
"Do you know him?" Arnav questioned.
Khushi nodded no hurriedly.
"No. I don't know..."
"Don't you know him?"
"I mean, my friend told me that he is Rajesh Malik, the only heir of businesswoman Amrita Malik, but I'm not familiar with him. Why are you asking?"
"I thought being a business family, you might have been his family friend."
"Who would be friendly with such a jerk...?" she said irritably.
"Won't anyone be friendly with jerks?" he asked seriously.
"Who would? Will you?" she back questioned.
Arnav nodded yes.
"Really? Do you have a jerk friend?"
"Didn't you hear what I told Rajesh?"
Khushi frowned. Arnav raised his finger towards her, controlling his smile. Khushi looked at his finger and then at him. She dropped her jaw.
"Am I a jerk?"
"Aren't you?"
"How dare you say I'm a jerk?"
"Yeah, here it came..."
"What?"
"Fight... you always fight with me. Then who are you?"
"I heard that people with the same wavelength would become friends. So, you should also be a jerk to accept me as your friend. Right?" she cornered him.
"I won't get angry with you for addressing me as a jerk because it's not new to me. Many people told the same..." Arnav said casually.
"It seems you are proud of being a jerk..."
"Not exactly... but yes..."
"Will you always talk confused? Can't you talk clearly?" she asked wearily.
Arnav smiled and walked away. Khushi stood looking at his back and turned around. She was horrified, seeing Lavanya standing, looking at her sarcastically. Khushi was embarrassed. She didn't know how to react. Lavanya came close to her and looked at Khushi's face, tilting her head.
"You said you are going to be at home today. So, I called your mother to ask for her help in taking you out. Before I said anything, she started complaining about her daughter, who is not at all staying at home and told me you went to the hotel Blue Moon as usual."
Khushi looked at her from the corner of her eyes.
"When I came here, I was in shock, seeing you in ASR's arms. And I know your leg didn't trip."
Lavanya was about to continue, but she stopped, hearing,
"I like him..." Khushi said.
Lavanya looked at her, stunned.
"I liked him when he gave us hall. I found his generosity in not wanting to spoil our celebration. When my father told me about him, I started thinking about him, beyond my control. My heart wanted to see him, talk to him, and be with him. Yes, my leg didn't trip. I just wanted to see if he cares for me..."
"And, it happened..."
Khushi nodded yes.
"I knew you liked him..." Lavanya smiled.
Khushi was bewildered.
"But how?"
"Don't I know you? We are friends from school. I have never seen you behind someone. It was boys who died for you."
"You said you liked him..." Khushi asked in a low tone.
"I just said that to make you jealous. See, the cat is out of the box... You cut me off to see him."
"I'm sorry, Lavanya. I just..."
"If you like him, why are you hesitating? Just propose him."
"No, Lavanya. We had seen many boys hesitating to propose to us because of the status difference. Now, I'm in the same position. He is too high for our level. I have no problem proposing to him. But what if he rejects me? He said I'm his friend. He may think I'm not up to his standard. That's what makes me scared."
"Why are you thinking like this, Khushi? You are not less. You are the only heir of the Guptas."
"But my father says so much about him. Doesn't what he thinks about me matter? This relationship will work only if he likes me..."
"Will not you propose to him? How long will you be chasing him?"
"I will have to chase him until I imprint something in his heart about me..."
"How long?"
Khushi shook her head from left to right.
"I don't know, but I don't want to hear NO from him."
"But I don't think he will reject you. He picked you up in his arms, yaar..." Lavanya teased.
Khushi smiled.
"I take it as a green flag."
"Means?"
"Will continue chasing him..."
Lavanya sighed.
"Let's go..."
"Are you sure? ASR is still here."
"I have seen him already. It's enough for today..."
"Khushi, I know you are crazy, but not to this extent."
"Let's go..." Khushi pulled her with her.
They left smiling.
Malik Residence
Amrita Malik came out of her room, fully ready. The servants took a few suitcases and loaded them in the car. Avinash and Rohini were waiting for her.
"It will take two days for me to come back. Take care of Raju..." Amrita ordered Rohini.
She nodded ok.
"There is a conference in our office tomorrow. Our clients and shareholders will attend it. Take Rajesh with you and teach him how to handle it." She told Avinash.
"Call him and tell him to attend the conference. He is not at all listening to me. If I say anything, he finds excuses to skip his responsibility..."
"Enough... won't you have something good to talk about Raju? Anytime, complaints... You are sincerely doing that... what did you do for him as a father? Did you teach him anything?"
"What can I do when you support him?"
"What do you mean, I support him? What do you want me to do? Who will support him if I don't? I don't understand..."
"Ok, leave it. You are going to Mumbai. We will discuss after you come from Mumbai."
"Thank God, at least you understand that now..." Amrita left.
Rohini went to her room. She was supposed to lock the door. Avinash entered. She stepped back, seeing him. He pulled her towards him and hugged her tight.
"Do you know how long I had waited for this opportunity...? I just want to be in your arms, Rohini. I want to find my solace in your lap... in your hug..."
Rohini reciprocated the hug smilingly. He fell on the bed, taking her. They shared a passionate kiss, like a young couple.
To be continued...
