"Ratna aunty called me to draw mehandi. In fact, I already have an appointment with a beautician to draw mehendi, but I don't want to miss the chance to see you. So I came here..." Khushi said.
"Haven't you started yet?"
"How could I start after knowing that you were planning to kill? I was nervous like hell until seeing you. Thank God, you are safe..." She said worriedly and hugged him, forgetting their surroundings.
Arnav looked at his family members, perplexed.
"Hello, madam, public..." Anjali laughed.
Khushi looked around and became embarrassed.
"Chotte, you should have taken her to your room..." She added.
"Di, she is worried about Rajesh's plan."
"Only Khushi would be worried about that useless plan..." Dhruv said, laughing, and Arnav joined him.
Khushi dropped her jaw.
"He is the one who gave them a chance to plan. If he hadn't done that, they would have been begging now."
Khushi looked at Arnav, confused.
"How could I let my mother's son be begged? That's why I sent him to jail." Arnav said casually.
"Did YOU(stressing) send him to jail?" Khushi asked.
Arnav blinked his eyes. Dhruv told her what they did.
Khushi was in disbelief.
"What if he hadn't fallen into your trap?"
"Don't I know how greedy they are? They won't miss a chance to finish me because until I'm alive, Rajesh couldn't play his emotional cards with my mother."
"How does he think he could convince Amrita aunty?"
"Yes, because he never showed his wrong side to my mother and was polite with her. He thought it was enough for him to mend things between him and my mother."
Khushi looked at him suspiciously. She didn't think what he said was completely true. Yes, she was not wrong. Arnav did that to take revenge on Rajesh for being his mother's son...! How could he leave him if he took his place? Wouldn't he punish Rajesh for replacing him? Of course, Arnav was irreplaceable. Yet, he wanted Rajesh to rot in jail for the rest of his life.
Wedding
Khushi was so excited about her wedding with Arnav, the most eligible bachelor of the city, handsome, talented and multimillionaire. She knew many girls would have been jealous of her.
On the other side, Arnav's excitement was no less than Khushi's. Only he knew how much effort he had put in to get her. No doubt Rajesh was useless, but we could not deny that Arnav was the one who made him useless. If Arnav had been a little careless, everything would have changed. He knew that.
A phone call broke his train of thought. He smiled as it was from Khushi. He attended the call.
"Hi, Mr. Raizada..."
"Hi, going to be Mrs Raizada."
"Are you ready?"
"For what?"
"For our wedding..."
"Oh... I thought something..."
"Dirty fellow..."
"Dirty? Why? What's dirty in coming to the wedding hall?"
"Coming to the wedding hall?"
"Haan, what did you think?"
"Nothing..."
"Khushi, stop thinking DIRTY..."
"I didn't think dirty..."
"Then why did you call me dirty even before I said anything?"
"I thought..."
"Dirty?"
"I'm going to cut the call..."
"Ok... But what will you do tonight?"
"I will hide somewhere..."
"No way... You can't hide from me..."
"Why? Did you insert a tracking device in my body?"
"Yes... The device is called my love. It will track you wherever you go..."
Khushi smiled.
"Stop talking and come to the wedding hall..." She said.
"I was supposed to start. Your call is what stopped me."
"Ok, I'm disconnecting the call. You can start now."
"As you said, madam..."
Khushi disconnected the call smilingly.
Arnav reached the hall. Garima circled a thali and welcomed her son-in-law, who was going to be her son. Arnav waited for Khushi, sitting on the stage. She was asked to bring it. Khushi came to the stage and sat beside Arnav. They looked at each other and smiled.
"You are looking dashing," Khushi whispered.
"Is it?"
"Yeah, this kurta looks great on you."
"It's too hard to be in a kurta. I'm tolerating it only for you..."
"It's worth it."
"Excuse me... First, tie the mangal sutra around her neck. Then, you can talk to her as much as you want..." The pandit said.
Arnav and Khushi looked around and saw all their family members looking at them teasingly.
"My son, you have a lifetime to talk to her. To do that, you should make her your wife..." Arvind said teasingly.
"Men are so mean. They would talk nonstop before marriage but would not even give heed after the marriage," Anjali said, looking at Shyam.
"Am I not talking to you?" Shyam asked hurriedly.
"No, no, I'm not talking about you..." Anjali said.
"Chotte will not be like that. He is exceptional," Ratna said.
Arnav tied the mangal sutra around Khushi's neck, smiling.
"Don't worry, I will not be like that," Arnav said while tying the mangal sutra.
"No problem if you are like that," Khushi said casually.
"Whaaat? Won't you be worried?"
"I will make you worried..."
"Means?"
"If you do like that, I will come to your business place and torture you..."
"Oh..."
"Yes, I will sit with you and remind you of the promise you made a few seconds ago..."
"You will not get a chance to remind me of that."
"Let's see..."
"You will see all the beauties with me."
"Means?"
"I have finalised the place for our honeymoon"
"Is it? Where will we go?"
"Suspense..."
Khushi pouted.
"You are too bad... After making me curious, you keep the spot a suspense..."
Arnav was about to say something,
"Excuse me, please fill her partition first..." The pandit said, extending the Virmillion box towards him.
"Chotte, do it; poor him was holding the box long,"
Arnav smiled and took a pinch of Virmillion to fill Khushi's partition.
"Please, stand up to take pharase," the pandit hurried them before they started talking again.
They took pharase. The pandit huffed in relief.
Arnav and Khushi took the elders' blessings, then headed towards Arnav's new house.
Khushi liked the house so much. Why not? After all, it was Arnav Singh Raizada's house. We could call it a small world that contained everything, from a swimming pool to a library. Khushi didn't need to go out for anything.
Khushi saw every room one by one. When she came to a room, she was struck to see a decorated bed. She looked behind and heard a locking sound. Arnav locked the door, smiling at her.
"Welcome home," Arnav said.
"Tell me, our honeymoon spot. Then only I will talk to you."
"I think talking is not necessary tonight."
Khushi dropped her jaw.
"Won't you talk to me?"
Arnav headed to the bed, without answering. Khushi followed him, gritting her teeth.
"Answer me..." She pulled his shoulder.
Arnav took a cover from under a pillow and handed it to her. Khushi frowned and opened the cover. She saw a few flight tickets to London in it.
"Are we going to London...?"
Arnav nodded.
"Happy?"
"Of course, it's a place where you lived... But what about these many tickets?"
"Guess?"
Khushi thought for a while and looked at him, eyes widening.
"Are your guards also coming with us?"
Arnav nodded.
"Are we going to our HONEYMOON or a TOUR?"
"For them it's a tour, but for us, it's a honeymoon..."
Khushi sighed, and Arnav laughed.
The End.
Thank you for reading CRASH LANDING.
