Part 46 Who?

Khushi broke the kiss and smiled at Arnav, who adored her. She leaned on his shoulder.

"I didn't expect you would come here right away..."

"I also became crazy like you..." He chuckled.

"What will my small heart do if a crazy man like you resides in it?"

"Your heart is not small, which wishes for everyone's betterment," he dashed his forehead with hers.

"Ok, stop blabbering. Leave before anyone sees you." She got apart from him.

Arnav chuckled.

"Ok, bye..."

"Don't think unwantedly and sleep..." She said.

"Actually, that's supposed to be my dialogue..." He laughed but slowly.

"You don't know me. You would not have seen a fast sleeper like me."

"Ohhh... But, I don't think I will see that."

"Why?"

"Who is going to let you sleep after our marriage?"

"Why won't you sleep?"

"Oii... Will you sleep, leaving me behind?"

"Are you going to be up all day?" She chuckled.

"However, we should sleep, and I will be the first one."

Arnav sighed.

"We will think about who will sleep first later. Now, go home and sleep."

"Good night..."

"Yeah, this is a good night... Because of your kiss..." She whispered.

"Crazy girl..." He tapped her nose and left.

Khushi went to her room and fell on the bed. As she said, she drifted into sleep in a jiffy.

The next morning

Everyone gave Akash the cold shoulder, including Arnav. He sensed it. He didn't know if he should go to the office that belonged to Arnav.

Arnav had breakfast without looking at him. That was when he received a call. He attended it.

"Haan, Aman?"

"ASR, the client wants us to visit the site. You are busy with your wedding. Today is Haldi, right?"

"Mmm, Akash will go to the site." He said, not looking at Akash, and disconnected the call.

The next second, Akash got a call from Aman, which disappointed him. He knew Aman would ask him to go to the site. He expected Arnav to tell him to go, but Arnav didn't. He attended the call.

"Hello, Aman..."

"Akash, ASR want you to visit the site. He can't go because he is a groom after all..."

"Ok...I will go." He disconnected the call.

Arnav stood up, completing breakfast. He went to his room.

Haldi was also over. Arnav came out of the washroom, washing his face. That was when he got a call. He smiled to see Khushi's number flashing. He attended the call.

"Hi... Is haldi over?" He asked.

"No... It's going on..."

Arnav frowned, hearing someone's voice.

"Who is this?"

"Khushi..."

"You are not Khushi. Who ate you? Where is she? How did you get her number?"

"Hello, hello, hello... Relax... Khushi said you get angry easily. She is right. But, if I were in her place, I wouldn't let you get angry... You will melt like an ice cream..."

"Why... Are you a summer?" He mocked.

"No... I'm fire..."

"Then, you deserved to be in the kitchen..." Came from Arnav.

"I can also spread fragrance to your bedroom through a scented candle. I look more gorgeous than Khushi..."

Arnav lost his patience. He didn't like being compared with Khushi.

"Shut up... Don't you dare compare yourself with Khushi. Don't you have shame? How dare you gall me like that? You spoke from Khushi's phone. That's why I didn't disconnect the call. Khushi is so innocent. That's why she is keeping a WITCH like you in her house, but I'm not like her. I won't fall for bitch. Don't play your dirty cards with me. The consequence will be worse." He disconnected the call.

Arnav became thoughtful. Who was she? Was she the same jealous girl Khushi talked about? How dare she talk to him like that! How did she get Khushi's phone? How did she know her phone password? How would he contact Khushi now? The phone was with the girl. Why did Khushi entertain such an uncultured girl?

Arnav called Shashi. He attended the call.

"Hello, Damadji..."

"Uncle, who is having Khushi's phone?"

"Khushi's phone?" Shashi frowned.

"Keep an eye on the girl. She spoke to me from Khushi's phone. I think Khushi would have given her phone to her before the haldi ritual started. Don't know how she learned the password. She spoke unwillingly. I don't want the girl to be near Khushi." Arnav said, heating up.

"I will take care of it..."

"Yup..." Arnav disconnected the call.

Shashi ran his eyes and saw Khushi's friend, Sheetal, coming out of Khushi's room. Khushi's phone was not in her hand. He understood that she was the one who had spoken to Arnav.

"Khushi, where is your phone? To whom did you give it?"

Sheetal stopped hearing that.

"It's in my room. I put it on charge..." Khushi said.

"Arnav said someone called him through your phone and talked so cheaply..." Sheetal was shocked. She didn't expect Arnav to call Shashi and tell him about the call. Was Arnav that straightforward? It was the least expected. Would he really call Shashi and tell him about the call? What kind of man was he! She thought he would become easy in a few days if she kept calling him again and again.

"Sheetal..." Shashi called.

"Haaan?" Sheetal jerked.

"Did you call, Arnav?"

She nodded her head side by side hurriedly.

"No uncle... No... Why would I call him? That too from Khushi's phone? How do I know her phone password?" She asked, grinning.

"What were you doing in Khushi's room?"

"Used washroom..."

Shashi looked at her sharply. Sheetal took a seat. Shashi looked at Khushi and said,

"Don't leave your phone anywhere. Change the password." Shashi said, looking at Sheetal.

"What happened, Shashiji?" Garima asked.

"Someone called Arnav through Khushi's phone and talked to him cheaply, it seems..."

"Who the hell dares talk about our Damad cheaply?"

"He said she talked cheaply... Didn't say she talked about him."

"What do you mean?"

"That means she would have talked to him cheaply..."

Garima took a step and hit Khushi's shoulder.

"Why did you share your phone password with others?"

"No, Amma, I didn't share it with others."

"Then, how did someone call Damad through your phone?"

"I don't know."

"This is why I always told you not to trust anyone."

Khushi became thoughtful. It seemed she was trying to connect dots.

After the haldi ritual, she came to her room and checked her phone, but there was no number in the outgoing calls list. She called Arnav. This time, he attended it without hesitation because he knew Shashi would have told Khushi about the call. So, the person who called him would not dare touch the phone.

"Arnavji, who called you?"

"I don't know who she is. I sent the conversation to your phone. I hope you can identify her voice."

"Did you record the conversation?" Khushi asked eagerly.

Sheetal, who followed Khushi but didn't enter the room, was horrified by what she overheard. Did Arnav record their conversation? He was many steps ahead of what she thought. It seemed he was a dangerous man to reach. Sheetal thought.

Khushi ran the video, and Sheetal sneaked out silently.

To be continued...
