Chapter 2
"Daphnaeae please stop running away. I'm trying to help you. It" He assured me I as I looked down shaking my head looking up at him.
"I refuse to be someones labrat." I replied, as our eyes met.
"Your not a labrat. I'm trying to protect you please trust me." He pleaded walking over. I started backing up when I stumbled falling back bashing my head off a large rock. I whinced closing my eyes in pain.
"Damn that hurt." I muttered, as he rushed to my aid as he lifted my head making me groan.
"Careful your bleeding." He said, as I reaching back touching the damp spot on back of my head. He pushed me in a sitting position examining it. As I looked at my hand my skin was green again but only on my hand. My blood was like sap from a tree just not sticky. But had a texture more like blood.
"How's it look?" I asked.
"It's definitely going to swell. Other than that it doesn't look that bad but I'd still like to keep an eye on it." He replied ripping off his shirt revealing his refind tight muscles. I couldn't help but gawk as he ripped his shirt with his teeth putting it my wound. Reaching in the pocket of his sergin coat he had put on me earlier pulling out a bandage and wrapping my head to keep it in place.
"Okay come on Daphnaeae." He pleaded kissing my head. I glanced at Alic. He was in shock.
"Ya besides something like me can't have a normal life. They'll kill me anyways." I stuttered as tears swelled up in my eyes.
"Darling being a dryad doesn't mean that sweetie." He wipped my cheeks kissing my cheeks. As my tears ran down my cheeks.
"Sweetie bring her in I have something to fit her. She can't walk around like that." Alic's sister said, I buried my face in his shoulder. He picked me up carring me.
"Do you recognize her?" He asked, walking in.
"Should I?" She asked.
"You should she grew up with you and your brother Dazzys daughter she was parilized. Parents died when she was ten." He exclaimed.
"YOUR FUCKING SHITTING ME DES OH MY GOD EVERYONE THINKS YOUR DEAD." She blurted, I looked at her and her smile faded when she seen my tears. I jumped out of his hands.
"Sorry she's having trouble ajusting to the fact she's no longer human." He exclaimed they all looked at me as my whole body shifted back.
"Oh Des." She muttered, I slipped off his coat as she handed him some clothes and he slipped them on me. I kissed her cheek.
"Thank you Haley." I whispered in her ear hugging her.
"What stay we're having a get together you should stay. So are you her mate?" She asked, Calin when I heard a growl.
"No caretaker I protect and look after her." He exclaimed wrapping his arms around my shoulders and pushing my back against his chest. He whipped my cheeks repeatively kissing my face.
"Okay I get it I'll cheer up. Geez." I chuckled when he started tickling me.
"Okay I get it cut it out." I laughed trying to push him away when he kissed me.
"Doc the hell." I smirked.
"It Clayton hey it made you smile didn't it." He said, pecking my lips making me flustered.
"You sly fox." I smiled, hugging him.
"Only for you darling you know I'll do anything for my sweetheart." He said, playfully. When I heard a loud growl I looked around.
"Okay which wolf's baring they're fangs?" Clay asked, pulling me against him.
"You know Alic really liked you?" She said, causing me to laughing uncomfortable.
"Sweetie I think you got pitty confused with affection. He map was only nice to me because I was weak, helpless, parilized, and not to mention mortal. Cause if he did he wouldn't be with the one thing that made my child hood hell. I ain't a kid anymore I'm a full grown ass dryad I ain't stupid. Besides have you seen this lately trust me for a mortal he's got a really nice bod just saying." I teased, Clay's face flustered kissing my cheek. As my body changed human.
"You have know how much I adore you." He whispered I kissed his cheek when I caught Alic glaring. I chuckled putting my head to Clay's caressing his cheek. I grabbed his hand dragging him outside.
"Okay darling what are you up to?" He asked spinning me around in arms. When Alics other relatives started walking out. As his father walked out to the grill.
"Who's the new couple." He asked when I shifted back to my dryad form.
"Hey Mike you know me Des." I joked as flowers started growing at my feet. Clay ripped off his shirt making me gawk.
"Damn tease." I smirked he chuckled putting his head to my and his other hand on my lower back.
"Damn I thought you were human?" Mike muttered.
"Nope dryad." I smiled not taking my eyes off his caressing his cheek. He kissed me and I put my head to his chest.
"Baby are you tired?" He asked, I yawned nodding.
"Ray show him the guest room." Mike commanded his uncle nodded as Clayton picked me up and carried me to a spare room laying me down.
"Thanks Ray." I stuttered, he bowed his head shutting the door. Clay layied beside me pulling me on his chest letting me rest.
I woke up when he walked out of the bathroom with only a towel around his waist making me fluster red buring my face in the pillow.
"Your to adorable sexy when you're being bashful." He teased kissing me.
"Your the sexy one I can't even look at you without turning redder then a tomato." I pouted. He chuckled kissing me then he walked over doping his towel. Almost making my eyes pop out of my head. When I noticed something that made me cringe in discussed. He was wearing a wedding ring.
