Chapter 3
"Yes I can't control my power yet so mother makes me seal it. My apologies I did not notice you were a king yourself." I replied, as he grabbed my hand kissing the back of my hand.
"It's okay I was disrespectful and I apologise. My queen." He answered, his tone was much more gentle. Okay where did the (my queen) come from I thought to myself when he chuckled.
"Apology accepted besides I let my temper get the best of me and was a kinda a bitch about it." I smiled and a huge grin appeared on his face.
"Seems like I miss took you. You are pretty cute." He teased making my face turn bright red.
"Shut up I am not." I blurted looking away bashfully trying to hide my face.
"Ahh someone embarrassed. Now that's cute." He said, picking on me. What's with this guy first he hates me then he picks on me like a childhood crush. He's confusing. When he started playfully poking me.
"What's with you thought you hated me?" I asked.
"I don't hate you who said that?" He questioned angerly.
"You bared your fangs at me." I replied.
"Yes and that was wrong of me I and I'm sorry. But I don't hate you infact far from it." He replied, with a hurt tone.
"So that's why you growled at me brother why didn't you just tell me she was your mate I would've understood." Clide blurted, making me fluster red speechless.
"Wait is he saying true?" I asked him. He just gave me a little nod blushing.
"Then why did you not say anything?" I asked, curiously.
"He's promised to another." Clide answered as Neil looked away in shame.
"You ass hole my species unlike yours only gets one mate if I rejected I don't get another." I snapped. He just stood in silence. What the actual hell never thought my mate would reject me. I lifted my hand slapping him accross the face and stomped out into the back yard I threw my head up letting out a huge roar making the ground tremble. Then I fell to my knees clentching my arm digging my claws into my skin making blood run down my arm as the dragon inside me roared in angony as pain ran through my body from regection. It was the most intense pain I've ever felt in my life. My heart felt like it was ripped out of my chest.
"That imbecile has no idea what he's just done." My dragon growled clenching my chest. When Michelle knelt down putting her hand on my shoulder. I hugged her as tears swelled in my eyes.
"It's okay sweetie I know it hurts." She said, rubbing my back as Clide and Cain stood behind her.
"They never told me rejection would hurt this bad." I sobbed.
"I know honey it's the worst." She rubbed my back.
"Feels like someone just ripped my heart and stomped on it literally." I wimpered, barring my face in her shoulder.
"I know and it always will." She whispered, I sobbed squeezing her shirt. As my body changed back to my real human form. She petted my head noticing my markings.
"Oh honey your a dragon king. That fool he has no idea what he's just done." She said angerly she lifted me handing me to Clide and walked into the house. I barried my face in his shoulder.
"You fucking idiot she's a dragon king do you even know what you just did to her. Do you even know what happens to a dragon when their mate rejects them. They go into such a deep depression they die of lonelyness." I heard her yell as Clide walked into the woods and walked to my house. When mom seen me she started questioning him till he told her my mate rejected me she was so distrot she didn't know what to say. He took me to my room and climbing up to my nest laying me down. He started to climb down till I grabbed his arm.
"Please don't leave me alone I don't want to be alone." I pleaded. He smiled gently climbing up laying beside the hugging me.
"I'm was actually kinda scared to leave you alone I was going to ask your mother but seeing you like this I'm even afraid to walk away from you." He replied, as I shifted into my small dragon form. He petted me.
"He has no idea what idiot would reject such a beautiful creature." He whispered kissing my head. I nuzzled against him. As he whipped my tears. He sang to me till I fell asleep. He had such a beautiful soothing vioce when he sang.
I awoke when I felt him shaking my shoulder. I woke up in my human form complete clothed in my human form meaning he dressed me.
"Sorry you went through all the trouble." I said.
"Don't be silly you were sleeping pretty soundly so it's the least that I could do." He replied.
"Now let's get up it's time for school." He smiled, we jumped down grabbed clothes and walked into the bathroom which was connected to my room.
"Now you go first leave the door open so I can check on you." He said.
"Why you say that?" I asked curiously.
"Because dragons are known to committe suicide when rejected and I'm not taking any chances of you trying it. Your precious for me to take any chances." He replied bluntly handing me a towel and wash clothe. I nodded walking into the bathroom and I left the door open like he asked. Laying my clothes on the sink stripping and grabbing the wash clothe. I jumped in turning the water on. I washed myself throughly when before washing and conditioning my hair. I rinsed it running my fingers through it.
"I'm just gonna leave the water on so be ready when I jump out." I informed him.
"Okay sweetie." He replied, walking in laying his stuff down.
"Okay now." I said, jumping out when he jumped in. I grabbed my towel drying myself off.
"The water to your liking?" I asked.
"Oh ya just perfect sweetie thank you." He replied.
"Welcome." I chuckled.
"So how you feeling?" He asked worriedly.
"Better the pains still there but having you there has made it alot more bearable." I assured him as I dressed in a cute florla shirt and high waist jeans.
"Good I was rejected by my mate to so I know how much it hurts and I'm a wolf so I could only imagine how hard it is for you for a dragon the pains much more intense." He replied worried.
"Why couldn't it have been you I mean at least you actually give a damn about my well-being." I muttered drying my hair.
"I could if you'd like I know I'm not your real mate. So the bond wouldn't be as strong. But at least I could make the pain go away and fill the void he left." He informed me sternly.
"You'd do that for me?" I questioned.
"Ya you should know I'll do anything for you." He answered, as I brushed my teeth.
"Your to good to me you know that." I smiled warmly.
"You deserve to find happiness. Not be rejected by some ass hole I'm ashamed to say I share the same blood with your to good for him he's an idiot. So do you want me to?" He asked.
"Yes I would like you to be my mate at least I know you truly care about me." I replied, as I brushed my hair closing my eyes. When someone took the brush brushing my hair. I opened my eyes to see Clide behind me in only a towel wrapped around his waist.
"You can dry off first I don't want you getting sick." I said.
"Its fine the least I can do is take care of you properly first." He smiled kissing the back of my head.
"Your seriously to sweet." I replied smiling as I applied makeup.
"Trust me baby you don't need make up your already the most beautiful creature I've ever met." He assured me kissing the back of my neck to mark me as his mate making the pain fade into numbness. I smiled when he placed his hand on my shoulder and I placed mine over his. He kissed my cheek grabbing his jeans. I averted my attention to my makeup as he got dressed. When he was finished, he brushed his teeth, and we walked out. We walked out my room and down stairs. We joined my parents at the table.
"Good morning kids how'd you sleep thank you for looking out for her." Mom said, putting our plates in front of us.
"Good morning Samantha thank you. It's nothing it the least I can do for everything she went through she deserves it." He smiled, glancing over at me.
"Someone's a little smitten with my Fury." Mom teased.
"Fury?" He questioned, looking at me.
"It's my real name." I informed him smiling.
"Ahh now that suits you much better then Fraia. It matches your beauty." He smiled kissing the side of my head.
