Kai's POV
I sat down on a log to rest. I was in Valond, searching for Auria. She may have been ascended, but I knew in my heart she wasn't dead. I wasn't giving up on her. I'd searched all of Inari, Odarga, Ildis, Adeshia, and nearly all of Valond. It had been nearly two years since she 'died'. I sighed and picked my bag up. I only had Appletown, Ionmarch, and the docks between them left to search. Then I'd accept that Auria was dead. That she was gone, forever. Just because I couldn't protect her. I could never forgive myself.
Because Auria might be gone forever.
