Chapter 1 The Return Of Nothing

duy159753

Space opened—but not like anything that had ever existed.
Not a realm, not a dimension, not a universe.
But a negation of everything that could ever be named.

Erah no longer held human form.
He was willpower housed in temporary structure,
woven from five glyphs—along with a sixth glyph, slowly dissolving into his core.

He didn’t know how long had passed.
Because here, there was no time,
only a constant flux between broken layers of reality.

At some point,
he heard a call.

Not a sound.
But a glyph that knew how to weep.

A being—or perhaps just a memory of one—was crying out from a warped corner of existence.
And Erah—no longer entirely Erah—answered.

Not through movement.
Not through action.
But by reconstructing the laws at the place the cry came from.

For the first time since collapse,
a space formed from his will alone.
It wasn’t large. Not stable. Not complete.

But it had rules.
And within those rules, the cry took shape:
a young girl, with eyes full of dead time and hair like drifting smoke from fractured dimensions.

She didn’t speak.
She only handed Erah a fragment of a glyph—
a piece of the seventh glyph.

Not resistance.
Not destruction.
Not memory.
Not beginning.

“Ending.”

Erah understood.

If the sixth glyph was the seed of new life,
the seventh was the final scythe—the one meant to close all cycles.

And he knew:
after everything,
he would have to choose.

Between a new beginning…
or the end of all Things
