Babysitter
Elizabeth’s P.O.V
I slid down the banister and landed perfectly. I looked at Artie who was putting on his shoes. “Whatcha doin?” I asked, he sighed.
“Please use proper english, Elizabeth.” I shook my head.
“I dont know what your talking about Artie. I’m speaking American.” Artie just sighed again and answered me.
“I’m going to go see my sister, she said she needed help with something.” As if on cue, his cell phone rang. “Yes? I’m on my way Nina, I’m just waiting for the babysitter. It should only be a few more minutes. No, its fine. Its been a while since the last time we saw each other anyways. Okay, I’ll see you soon.” He nodded and looked at me.
“Uhh, did I hear babysitter?” He nodded, “Uh, how about no?”
He sighed, “How did I know you were going to react like that? Elizabeth, you need a babysitter, you're not old enough to stay home by yourself.”
“Then send me over to Leo’s house! Or take me with you!”
“Leo is still busy packing, and Nina and I will both be too busy to keep an eye on you.” He tried using logic with me. Wow, he should have known that wouldn't work.
“Well I don't want to be told what to do by some fat, ugly old lady!” I screamed as the doorbell rang. Artie opened the door and revealed a teenage girl.
“Uhh, hi? Dont worry, I’m not a fat ugly old lady. I dont like them telling me what to do either.” The girl smiled. Before I could say anything, she kept talking, “I could hear you through the door.”
I looked at the girl. She was blond and had blue eyes. She kind of looked like a younger, girl version of Al. I could even see a small cow-lick barely poking up from where she had her hair parted. Then I looked at her shirt. Inuyasha. She liked Inuyasha. She noticed me looking at her shirt. “Ahhh, so you like anime? Good thing I brought some over~.” She sang the last part. And I smiled. Artie looked at his watch.
“Well, its about time I got go-” He stopped as I began to push him out the door.
“Yeah, have fun! Bye!” I said closing the door. The girl smiled at me.
“Well then...I’m Savannah. Your Elizabeth, right?” I nodded. “Cool. You ever seen Aikatsu?” I shook my head and she laughed, “Then this should be fun!” She said as I sat on the couch. She quickly found the DVD player and put in a DVD. The DVD started up and she sat down getting comfortable. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Time skip of dancing like an idiot~~~~~~~~~~
Savannah and I fell on the couch laughing. She had danced to some of the (read:all) the Aikatsu songs, and I had joined in. The last episode had just finished as Artie opened the door. I looked at him to say something, but I stopped.
“Umm why are you wet?” Savannah asked at the same time as me. Artie just shook his head.
“Its a long story.” He said obviously not wanting to talk about it. Savannah stood up.
“Welp. I better get going. See ya Lizzybeth!” She waved dashing out the door. Artie raised a bushy brow.
“Lizzybeth?” I shrugged.
“Yeah, you aren't aloud to call me that.”
