26 Unexpected
Part 26 Unexpected
Aman went from RM, feeling relieved. What an amazing idea Arnav played...! Thank God, he played... Otherwise, Lavanya would never tell Shyam about their relationship. Somehow, the cat is out of the box. Let's Shyam decide. He hoped Shyam's decision would be in his favor. Or, Arnav will make him make a good decision. He believed.
.....
Shyam was sitting on the bed all gloomy. Anjali touched his shoulder. He raised his head and Anjali saw his reddened eyes.
"Shyamji please calm down... control yourself. Don't get angry"
"How can't I be? I can never forgive Lavanya for what she did. She is in a relationship with Aman for two years and she had been zipping her lips said nothing about it to us. How could she hide the truth even after knowing our intention of marrying her to Sale Sahib? We were torturing him to marry her and she had been roaming with Aman without caring about him... how could she? Don't know what she was thinking about us..." he said disappointedly.
"If it is so, Aman was also equally responsible..."
Cutting her,
"No... we can't blame him. He is not our family but Lavanya. I'm sure Aman would have tried to tell Sale Sahib about it. Lavanya should have stopped him. Didn't we see how Aman stood in front of us without fear? And I noticed Lavanya too. Her facial expression told me she doesn't want to tell us anything. Even though Aman would have stopped her from telling us the truth she should have made him understand because Aman doesn't know what's happening here. It's her responsibility to make him understand the situation. She should have asked him to talk to me about it" Shyam said.
"There is no use in talking about it. we have to think about what's next. Just leave it Shyamji..."
"How could I face Sale Sahib? He got married to Khushiji without anyone... how big his reputation is...! He would have done that only because of our torture. I know Sale Sahib is not such a person who hesitates to get married to the girl he liked. Don't we know how gutful he is?" he regretted.
Anjali felt good as Shyam was thinking about Arnav regretfully.
"How happy Khushiji would have been if she had gotten married to sale sahib with all the rituals and with the whole family? Poor girl, she never had a family and when she had, she could not get the happiness she deserves... who is the reason? Lavanya... right?"
Anjali was silent. Shyam was not wrong. Lavanya could have avoided such embarrassments.
"Let's eat something..."
"I don't want anything..." Shyam left the room.
In the meanwhile,
Arnav's room
"Shall I ask you something Arnavji?" Khushi asked.
Sitting on the recliner, Arnav gestured her to ask while rolling his sleeves up.
"You intentionally brought Aman and Lavanya's issue out today... You should have done that before too... why didn't you think of doing that before? There won't have been any necessity for this drama and all if you had done so..."
Arnav was looking at her smilingly.
"Yeah... I could have... don't why I didn't think of doing that before"
"You may be right... our brain works faster when we are in critical condition..."
"What do you mean, critical condition?"
"Now, I'm with you... in your house... in the name of your wife... so, it's obvious if you want to get rid of the situation"
"Yes, I want to get rid of THIS SITUATION" he stressed.
Khushi nodded yes.
"Will you send me to the UK?" she asked him curiously.
Arnav smiled at her as if he expected the question.
"Is it necessary to go to the UK?" he questioned her causally.
Khushi got stuck. What does that mean?
"Of course... don't you know I want to go?"
"You wanted to go before we MET..." he stopped reading her expression.
Khushi gulped down, meeting his eyes.
"Whaaat... do...you mean?"
"It was necessary for you to earn money to help children... but, I had given one crore to the home... and, I have been decided to help them in the future too. When I'M HERE, why would you go to the UK?" he asked with an intense gaze.
Khushi switched her gaze to somewhere.
"But... it's my aim to help them..." she said in a feeble tone.
"You already have enough money to help them..."
"I decided to return it to you..." she said not looking at him.
"Why?"
Khushi gulped, looking down. She didn't know what to answer. Arnav clutched her jaw and lifted her face and made her look at him.
"Why Khushi?"
"As per our agreement, one crore is enough Arnavji..."
"Do you really want to go to the UK?"
"What am I going to do here?"
"Don't you have any REASON to stay here, Khushi?"
Khushi felt like her stomach churned.
"Haan... I have... I can be helpful to the home children..." She stammered.
Arnav gazed at her shrinking his eyes.
"I... I would like to go home" she left the place hurriedly.
"Wait..." Arnav said strictly.
Khushi looked at him questioningly.
"I will take you to the home"
"No... I will come back home only in the evening"
"Ok... I will drop you then"
Khushi couldn't deny and of course, Arnav was not ready to let her deny. They walked out together.
Arnav dropped her in the home. Khushi thought he would leave, dropping her but Arnav got down from the car and walked with her. A few children who were playing in the park saw Khushi and rushed to her shouting cheerfully,
"Khushi didi..."
"Hi... how are you?"
"We are so good... come on, let's play"
"Are you going to meet Baba?" Khushi asked Arnav.
"Mmmm"
"You carry on... I will go to the park" She rushed with the children without waiting for his reply.
Arnav stood there folding his hands, looking at Khushi. After a few minutes, Baba who went to the office room saw Arnav. He came to him with a smile.
"Hello, Arnav sir, when did you come?" Baba asked
"Just now" Arnav smiled.
Baba saw Khushi playing with children.
"Oh... Khushi is also here?"
"We came together," Arnav said.
"Oh..."
"I just came to drop Khushi"
"I fixed the date to start the building work," Baba said.
"You no need to worry about the budget... just get the building how you want," Arnav said.
"Thank you so much, sir"
"My pleasure"
Khushi saw Baba talking with Arnav. She rushed to him.
"Namaste, Baba"
"How are you Khushi?"
Khushi smiled nodding yes.
"Our home is going to get a new building because of Arnav sir"
Khushi looked at Arnav who was smiling at her.
"Thank you, Arnavji," she said embarrassingly.
Arnav nodded yes.
"I have to go..." Arnav said.
"I don't know what I will do in return for the help you are doing for us..." Baba said.
"I too need help from you..." Arnav said looking at Khushi.
She looked at him perplexed.
"Anything for you Arnav sir," Baba said.
"Thank you..." He said smilingly and walked out.
Khushi stood looking at him blankly.
Evening
Khushi came to the main road to get a taxi. She stood, looking for a taxi. That's when she saw Shyam talking to someone, standing next to his car, in ten feet distance. Someone was hiding in the opposite side of the car with a knife in his hand. He neared Shyam. Khushi got horrified, seeing the scene. Without thinking anything, she rushed towards him shouting,
"Shyaaaam Bhaaaaai..." she pushed the man who was supposed to harm Shyam.
He fell down on the road with a knife. Shyam was shocked, seeing the person. The man got four years' stance because of Shyam. The man stood and steamed towards Shyam again. Khushi clutched his hand and tried to stop him. Pushing her, the man flung the knife and the knife had cut Khushi's left upper arm. Everything happened in a blink of an eye. Blood started oozing from her hand that made Shyam shock to the core. He kicked the man strongly. People around them caught the man. Shyam rushed to Khushi who lost her consciousness due to the heavy pain. Lifting her in his arms, he ran towards his car. Making her lay down on the back seat, he started the car towards the hospital.

Furious Arnav
Hospital
Shyam admitted Khushi to the hospital. She was unconscious. Though the wound was not deep the blood loss made her weak. Shyam was sitting beside Khushi. He felt bad for her. He tried to degrade her... he wanted to remove her from the Raizada family but without keeping anything in her mind, she saved him today. Of course, he might have saved himself her selflessness could not be neglected.
