Forgotten Flowers {Descriptive Group Roleplay}

Introduction

People always talk about her in hushed whispers now.

Marie Anderson.

The girl who disappeared twenty five years ago.

Nobody knows for sure where she went, but in a small town... That kind of thing really gets people talking. The only clue to her disappearance was her notebook. Pictures of all sorts of flowers and thorns were glued to the cover, laminated to keep it preserved.

Inside, Marie wrote about the Forgotten Garden. It was an urban legend in town, nobody knows who started it or when. They say, if you follow the black rabbit and the yellow butterfly you'll find it.

And according to what Marie wrote, that's exactly what she did. Pages on pages described the garden.

In half of it, it was always day time. Flowers of all kinds bloomed in colors you couldn't see anywhere else. The weather was always just perfect, and there was a lake full of minty green water that sparkled like a million stars.

The other half was always covered in night. Rather than flowers, thorns and dead trees cover the landscape. Yet, the moon is always full, and there are more stars in the sky than you could see any place else on earth.

Because, the Forgotten Garden isn't on Earth. It is it's very own world. According to Marie, the residents come in all kinds. Some are humans that found their way to the garden and never left. Others are talking animals, and some... Well, they're something in between.

Marie's journal went on and on about this wonderful world, but towards the end, her writing becomes... Disturbing.

She talks about meeting "The Twisted Man". From how she described him, he was not someone you ever wanted to meet.

In appearance, he looked like any other man... At first. Once you got closer, you'd notice that his eyes were completely black. His face seemed to be stuck in a wide, sick smirk. He never said a single word, he'd just stand there watching you from the darkness.

But, if you walked up to him, you could smell the unmistakable stench of blood that surrounded him... It always smelled fresh.

Marie described one encounter with him where she'd seem him gutting a rabbit. He threw the intestines through the trees like streamers, then wore the corpse like a hat as he danced around a bonfire... That had more dead rabbits burning instead of wood.

When he noticed her, he just...Stared with that twisted smirk, his face dripping with blood.

Oddly, that was the last entry.

No, not oddly... Creepily.

Apparently, for the next few weeks, she told her parents she was being watched at night. That the man was in their yard, then in her closet. But, they never caught him. They stayed with her constantly, but they didn't see a man even once. No matter how many times Marie screamed he was there... They never saw him.

And then, one morning, Marie was just gone. Just like that.

Some people still care about Marie. They wonder what happened, why it happened.

Most people think she was just crazy.

Some people think she really did find the Forgotten Garden.

But, most people just treat her as an urban legend. There's no doubt she was real, but... There's no way all of that mysterious stuff really happened.

Right?

Guess the sixteen of you will just have to find out, huh?
