Chapter 2
They all regain their conciouness, splitted up.Ning looks around the town,having a strange feeling about this place,this town is full of beautiful,modern villas yet devoid of life.He came across some villas but doesn't see any single civilians,the town is being surrounded by a strange,heavy silence.
Ning thought to himself-"Is this place unoccupied or all the civilians went to work?...Wait...It is clear that the bushes were recently cut back,so that means..."
Ning started walking,lost in deep thought and doubtful.Eventually,he saw the villa that he was told to enter by the task given.It's not that hard to realize because out of all the villas,only this one have people stood outside (a woman and a little girl).But when Ninh looks at the woman's smile,it feels...uncomfortable.
-"You finally came too?"-Liu Feng asked,placed his hand on Ning's shoulder to get his attention.
-"Yeah...it is,that villa is our destination"-Ning replied.
Liu Feng moved his fingers with a calculated stare,his thumb connecting with the other fingers one by one.
-"Damn it..."
-"You are a fortune teller?"-Ning asked after seeing Liu Feng do that.
-"Yes, I'm actually a fortune teller for everyone...but I just remembered I don't even know how to do that,but there are some techniques I knew"-Liu Feng replied with an awkward smile, scratching his hair a bit.
Ning surprised at his ridiculous reply,thinking to himself-"This guy is weird! He even believe in his own lies..."
-"How could you say that with such confident? Nevermind,let's go now."-Ning replied.
Both started heading to the villa and approaching the woman.
-"Please wait,there are more nurses coming..."-The woman said.
-"Can we ask you something?"-Ning asked.
-"Please wait,there are more nurses coming..."-She repeated the earlier sentence.
After a while,the others finally arrive.
-"Alright,I knew you all have your own business,it's just my husband is working far away,now I have to drive my daughter to beach to celebrate her birthday,there is no one left in the house,my old mother is paralyzed and must lie on bed for the rest of her life,she even have serious amnesia, I'm afraid that 2-3 nurses is not enough to take care of her so I hired all of you.About money,you all don't have to worry about that,when I come back and my mother is well taken care of,I will pay you all extra money.Everyone follow me,I will introduce my mother to you guys."-The woman said.
They entered the villa and the woman led them to the second floor then to her mother's room.The room is not so bright.Besides,there is an uncomfortable smell in the room.Strangely,the window of the room is being reinforced by steel planks.
-"Mother,I'll go to beach to celebrate a birthday party for my daughter,I've hired 7 nurses to look after you in 5 days" -The woman said,leaned closer to the old woman's ear, whispering... something?
-"Despite being paralyzed and having amnesia,she can still understand simple sentences.Besides,her health is in a good state.Oh!...I almost forgot,I'll introduce the kitchen,follow me"-She said.
The kitchen is very wide,full of cleaned tools.
-"The summer is coming along with the raining season,the weather here is rainy and stormy,in the next few days,the weather is unpredictable so I've prepared food and water.Besides,my mother dislike eating vegetables.When you prepare her a meal,you should add more meat.Do you guys have any questions"-The woman finished her sentence with that uncomfortable smile.
-"Excuse me? Does this villa have no other people to live in?"-Ning asked.
-"Yes,this villa is very old,also it's far from the city centre,no one lives here except my family.Actually, if it wasn't for my mother,we wouldn't live here.Nevermind,in the second floor,i have cleaned up all the rooms,choose your favorite.But you guys must remember one important thing: Do not and never go up the third floor, understand?"-She said,her eyes narrowed a bit as everyone nodded in understanding
-"Alright,I and my daughter have to go now"-She said,heading towards the entrance.
Ning feels something wrong,he stood near the window,looking at the woman,he saw the girl was holding hands with the woman while they were walking looks back at him.
"Wait...the girl is scared! But why? Afraid to go to beach? Her own mother? Or...this villa?"-Ning thought to himself.
-"What are you waiting for? They have gone"-Liu Feng calls him out-"Bro, you're quite young yet you're into married women. Not bad,not bad mate,you have the potential!"
Ning surprised as Liu Feng mistook him for having a liking to married women.
