chapter 23
Bryan sat in the Divinus Magia guild hall with his brothers. He had an arm gently wrapped around his stomach as the other members of Divinus Magia began to enter for a guild meeting.
Ritchie and Lucas were sitting together, Ritchie's daughter, Ritchael, and Braxton babbling to one another. Bryan smiled softly at them and looked down at his stomach, his babies being due any day now.
Once everyone had arrived, Brandon had started the meeting, occasionally pausing when one of the babies squealed or babbled loudly. At some point in the meeting, Bryan had started getting small cramps.
Of course, he didn't realize what the cramps were until he felt something wet, looking down at himself and paling a bit when he saw that his water broke, the cramps getting worse.
''U-um. I h-hate to interrupt but I h-have a problem.'' Everyone turned to Bryan, not noticing that his water had broke.
''What's wrong Bryan?'' Bryan opened his mouth but flinched in pain and whined, making everyone more concerned until he spoke.
''My water broke!'' Everyone froze for a second before Brandon reacted, giving orders to everyone.
Ritchie was told to give Ritchael to Lucas and go to the protectors guild to get Lo Pho. Rian, Brandeen, and Brandon would take Bryan to the infirmary, Lucas would take Ritchael and Braxton to his shouse until Ritchie returned, and the others would go get Jakey, since he was at his and Bryan's shared house on the island.
Everyone quickly did what they were told, Brandeen picking up Bryan and quickly making his way to the infirmary with Brandon and Rian. By the time they got there, the cramps Bryan were feeling had gotten worse and he was crying a bit.
Brandeen laid him down on one of the beds as Ritchie storm blinked into the room with Lo Pho, Jakey running in a few moments later and quickly going to Bryan's side.
''It's okay. It's going to be okay. You're going to be fine.'' Jakey was speaking words of encouragement to Bryan as he took the dragon slayer's hand into his own, wincing when Bryan gave it a tight squeeze.
Lo Pho began telling the others what was going to happen as Ritchie storm blinked away, wanting to go back to his child.

Bryan was panting heavily, gently gripping Jakey's hand as he looked at Lo Pho, Rian, Brandeen, and Brandon, each of which was holding a baby.
Lo Pho was holding the first baby, which was a male, Brandeen was holding the second baby, which was a female, Rian was holding the third baby, which was also a female, and Brandon was holding the fourth baby, which was a male.
Brandon and Brandeen walked over to Bryan and handed him the two babies while Rian and Lo Pho walked over to Jakey and handed him the other two babies. Bryan and Jakey both cried as they took the babies, Bryan cooing softly and nuzzling the two he held while Jakey gently kissed the two he was holding.
The other four in the room smiled before Brandon left, flying off to go to his brother and lover while Lo Pho spoke.
''I'd name them now you two.'' Bryan and Jakey both smiled, nodding.
''The two that I'm holding will be Heather and Jack.'' Jakey smiled and nodded as he looked down at the two he was holding.
''And the two that I'm holding will be Justice and Hope.'' The other three in the room smiled and nodded, saying goodbye as each of them left.
Jack yawned and stretched as he slowly opened his eyes, looking up at Bryan and squeaking softly. Bryan smiled and cried a bit as he nuzzled the baby.
Jack let out a purr-like sound and nuzzled him back as Hope yawned and opened her eyes for a moment, looking at Jakey before closing her eyes again and burying her face in his chest. Jakey giggled and nuzzled the babies in his arms.
Justice slowly opened his eyes and squeaked at Jakey, patting the time mage's cheeks with his tiny hands, causing the adult to cry harder. Justice giggled and Bryan smiled, not noticing Heather waking up until she began to nom on his hand.
Bryan cried softly as he nuzzled the babies he was holding, yawning softly as he did so. Jakey looked at him and smiled softly.
''D-do you th-think you can hold all of them?'' Bryan smiled and nodded slightly as Jakey gently handed him the babies that he was holding.
Jack cooed and nuzzled Hope as Justice and Heather cuddled into eachother and Bryan at the same time. Hope cracked open her eyes and babbled quietly as she clung to Bryan and Jack, closing her eyes again.
Bryan smiled and began to hum softly after he yawned, nuzzling the babies as they slowly but surely fell asleep. Bryan smiled softly and gently kissed each of their foreheads before slowly drifting off to sleep.
Jakey smiled softly and nuzzled each of them, gently kissing their heads before standing up and leaving the infirmary, closing the door behind him as he let his family sleep.
