chapter 25
Bryan hummed softly as he fed Hope her milk and medication. Jack was sitting on the floor and clinging onto Bryan's leg, having already had his milk.
When Jakey and Bryan took the babies to the doctor, they brought up the fact that Hope was sleeping much more then she should be. The doctor ran a few tests and found out that Hope had Narcolepsy.
The doctor gave them a medication prescription so that they can get medication for Hope when they run out and sent them on their way.
Jakey was out with Heather and Justice, having went to visit the protectors guild, and the reason that Hope and Jack didn't go is because they didn't have their nap the other day and were grumpy towards anyone other than their siblings and their parents.
When Hope finished her bottle, Bryan smiled softly and set it off to the side before picking Jack up, walking over to the playpen and putting them down in it.
''Momma will be back in a second, I'm just going to go and put a few things away.'' Jack squeaked and grabbed his unicorn plushie while Hope grabbed her kitty plushie, the two beginning to play with them as Bryan smiled, grabbing the bottles and leaving the room.
After a few minutes, Bryan returned and walked over to the playpen, stepping into it and sitting down as he watched the babies. The babies both moved closer to him as they continued playing with the toys in the playpen.
After a little bit, Bryan gently picked both babies up before bringing them to the bedroom that him and Jakey share with the kids. He brought them over to one of the two cribs and placed them down before kissing their foreheads and leaving the tired babies to sleep.
He left the room, closing the door behind him before sighing softly and smiling, walking over to the couch and laying down on it. He smiled and buried his head in a pillow before laying down, staring off into space.
He continued staring off into space for half an hour before being jolted out of his thoughts by the sound of glass breaking and the babies crying. Bryan immediately shot off the couch and went over to the bedroom, quickly opening the door and walking in.
He saw that a window had two holes broken in it, meaning that something had probably come through the window and bounced off the wall and floor before going back out. He quickly walked over to the crib and gently picked up Hope and Jack, beginning to sooth the babies.
Hope and Jack clung to him as they sobbed in fear, none of three noticing that Eden was behind Bryan, the larger male pulling out a syringe. As soon as he was behind Bryan, Eden grabbed him and put the needle into his neck, pushing down on the plunger to inject the substance inside of it into Bryan's bloodstream.
Bryan screamed in surprise, causing Jack and Hope to cry harder as he slowly became dizzy. Eden grinned and slowly lowered Bryan down to the floor, not wanting to risk Bryan dropping Hope or Jack as the brunette became unconscious.
Eden grinned and teleported himself and the other three to his bedroom, Jack and Hope beginning to wail. Eden huffed and grabbed Bryan, making sure that he wasn't holding Jack or Hope before tossing Bryan onto the bed and snapping his fingers to handcuff one of Bryan's arms to the bedpost.
Eden then turned to Hope and Jack, picking them up and walking over to Bryan before setting them down next to the male, the two babies clinging onto their mother as they cried. Eden rolled his eyes before walking out of the room, closing and locking the door behind him.
