Chapter 6.
At Dokdo Island.
This is the island that Lee Siyeon once mentioned in a fan meeting, she said that if she gets married, she will choose Dokdo as the honeymoon place.
Today is a special day, Siyeon's birthday, and after discussing with the Lee family, everyone, along with SuA, decided to take Siyeon to Dokdo for birthday 2 days weekend. And on this trip there were a total of 5 people, Siyeon, SuA, Siyeon's mother, Mrs. Lee, nurse Im Nayeon, and a waitress with the last name Park.
Mayor Lee had an important job so he couldn't go with them, he always did, and rarely had time to spend with his family. Siyeon has an older sister named Lee Minyoung, who is married and has her own plans, so she can't go with Siyeon on this trip. Both Mayor Lee and Lee Minyoung sent Siyeon birthday gifts with sincere wishes.
This Lee family is full of people who do extraordinary jobs, so they hardly have the opportunity to fully gather together.
If normally, when SuA meets a patient who has over-the-top feelings for her, she will immediately have a solution, she will clear everything so that she can fully cooperate with them, and do not cause any damage. She had done that with many of her former patients, all of them male patients.
But this time, she didn't, and she was acting extremely slow, really different from her usual personality. And she was really careful, just lying on Siyeon's side, not touching Siyeon.
That day, obviously, the purpose of coming was to talk, to help Siyeon feel less insecure, but in the end, SuA didn't talk to Siyeon at all, she lay down on Siyeon's bed, and went to sleep.
And that night it was clear that she had a hard time sleeping, but when she lay down on that bed, she fell asleep.
Then, until morning, the sun rose very high, did SuA wake up, when she woke up, she felt that her palm was open, and was being disturbed. She saw Siyeon draw many circles continuously on her hand. That day, Siyeon woke up before SuA. SuA woke up to see Siyeon, her eyes were in a dream state, she tried to reach for her phone on the table, looked at the time, and she was startled because the clock was already gone jump to the number 10.
What, is it 10 o'clock?
“Oh my god, how many hours did I sleep?” - SuA mumbled.
“9 hours 15 minutes 43 seconds” – Siyeon replied, surprising SuA.
That day, SuA had a lunch date with Mr.Kim and Mrs.Kim, because a close relative came to her house to play, and she had not seen this uncle for a long time, so parents Kim told her to spend time at home to have lunch with them. SuA agreed, and then she put on her jacket and left Siyeon's room with a goodbye, not forgetting a few reminders.
"I have work to go, you can eat lunch by yourself, we will meet this afternoon, have a nice day"
SuA went home to meet her family, she called nurse Im a few times to ask about Siyeon, then she learned that Lee Siyeon slept from morning until afternoon, never getting up to eat or drink. Until the afternoon when she met Siyeon again, SuA asked why Siyeon slept so much….
"Because I didn't sleep last night, I made up for it"

SuA stood alone on the shore of Dokdo island, watching the sun go down, this scene was so beautiful, yellow combined with red, forming a poetic pink, making her think a lot.

SuA hung up the phone and sighed, she called JiU to hear JiU’s voice, she thought that talking to JiU would help.

In the evening, everyone gathered for dinner, a sumptuous dinner prepared by everyone together for Lee Siyeon. Everyone sang a happy birthday song, and then nurse Im cheerfully said.

Late at night, when everyone was in different places to rest, SuA was sitting alone in her room doing some work, when she received a call from Siyeon.
"Bora, can you go to the kitchen?"

SuA walked to the kitchen and saw Siyeon standing up from her wheelchair, trying to reach for something on the shelf.
- Singnie? – SuA startled and went faster.
Siyeon took a candle from the kitchen counter, then put down a round choco cake, which was placed on a round plate. Then Siyeon took a lighter and made a small flame on the candle, then she sat down on the wheelchair, breathing heavily, like she was about to lose her breath, it seemed like she had been standing for too long.
Lee Siyeon is probably a smart person, every action she just needs to see once, can be imitated immediately.
SuA was surprised at what Siyeon was doing, she still didn't know what to say first.
- You wish - Siyeon said with a smile.
- But today is not my birthday - SuA looked at the small choco cake on the table, laughed and explained.
- So what day is it? - Siyeon asked with wide eyes, mouth puckered.
- My birthday is over, actually, that was the day when you walked successfully to the other side of the lake in the park.
Siyeon thoughtfully recalled that day. That day SuA went to see Siyeon early and gave her a really good cup of coffee, then the two went to the park.
SuA's birthday that day was nothing special, she was just next to Siyeon that whole day, everything seemed to be going smoothly, then in the afternoon there was a small problem, that day Siyeon knew that SuA was who is married, Siyeon looks hurt.
And SuA came home with a confused mood, that day parents Kim cooked a delicious dinner for her to celebrate her birthday, but she only agreed to eat happily, but deep inside, she still felt sad. And she felt even more empty, when that day, she did not receive a call, or a text from JiU.
Kim JiU was so busy that the next day, she texted SuA happy birthday, and said that when SuA comes back to New York, she will make up for SuA later.
- So….if your birthday is over…then you can't make a wish, right? – today is really a special day, Lee Siyeon said a lot of questions.
- No, it’s okay, I'll make a wish now - SuA clasped her hands together, then closed her eyes, leaned towards the cake, then opened her eyes and blew a puff.
Siyeon clapped her hands excitedly, then suddenly stopped smiling.
- What's up? – SuA asked.
- I forgot to sing the birthday song for you
- It's okay - SuA laughed at Siyeon's cuteness, then stroked her auburn hair.
Siyeon didn't react much, just smiled shyly. SuA lowered her arms, propped up on the sides of the wheelchair, she once again, quietly looked down at Lee Siyeon, from a distance of 10cm. With this distance, she could completely feel Lee Siyeon's breathing speed.
Siyeon’s breathing….is getting faster because of nervousness.
The nervousness, is also what exists in the heart of SuA right now.
In the kitchen, there was only a small white light in the middle, the weak light, making this room strangely quiet.
- Lee Siyeon, you're really pretty - SuA said in a low voice, she watched and saw the luscious pupil in Siyeon's eyes fluttering, Siyeon’s brown iris, also moving.
Although there is no heart rate monitor here, but with Kim SuA's outstanding ability, she is sure that Siyeon's heartbeat is getting stronger.
Now that it's already nightfall, the light is weak, she can't get her strength anymore...
And just like that, SuA looked deeply into Siyeon's eyes, not daring to blink….
