Same title, but a different sender. This time, it's from the other side of the story.
Hi, Blue!
I don't think I need to send you the link to this confession since you've been following this page for ages. You're always updated, always reading, whether it's a heartbreak or a love confession. Lahat 'yon, gustong-gusto mong binabasa kaya 'di na ako magugulat na makakarating 'to agad sa 'yo.
Because of that, I am wondering how you would feel if one day, you would read a post on your favorite page—but this time, for you.
This one is yours. This is a love confession. A love story. Our love story.
I met the girl of my dreams not too long ago, through family-friend gatherings. I still
remember that time so vividly. She's quite shy but adorable. She still has her black hair, different from her now blue ones. She thinks she's unnoticeable, but from the very first time I saw her, my eyes never left her. Some may call it a whirlwind romance, but I don't believe that. I believe that when you find the one, they will stay with you. They never leave. Time may pass, but their mark will remain.
We fell apart once because of miscommunication and misunderstandings. Years later, we found each other again, but unresolved issues crept back in, shaking a foundation that wasn't built on trust. We hurt each other again. And I know it was my fault.
I thought I could handle it, thought I could survive without her as I did before. Nakaya ko naman noon, kakayanin ko rin ngayon but I was wrong. You never truly know what you have until you lost it.
When I lost her, my world shattered. That's when I realized—I only endured before because I didn't fight for it but I cannot endure losing her all over again. I couldn't imagine a day without our coffee dates. I couldn't imagine a day without baking cookies with her, bringing her her favorite soup. And most of all, I couldn't imagine a day without her in it.
I was lucky. Lucky to be given the chance to work for her love again, to humble myself, grovel at her feet, and to hold the hand of the woman I once let go again. I was lucky to be given the privilege of winning her back.
I don't know what the future holds, but I know that when it comes, it's her hand I want to be holding.
To my beautiful woman, Amberrly Matteo of Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design and Merchandising—you are my peace, my calm, the love of my life.
You are my Blue. I love you.
