Part 46 About Swamiji (Longest Update)

Khushi came to her room with her mobile. She dialed Meena. She attended it right away.

"Khushi..."

"Lavanya said you asked me to call you. What's the matter, Meena?" Khushi asked.

"Lavanya said Arnav Bhai got his memory back..."

Cutting her,

"Yes..."

"Does he remember you?"

"How could he remember me? He slipped from the stairs and got hit on his head again. He would have remembered me only if he had gotten his memory back through Swamiji's treatment"

"I don't know what to say, Khushi. I really don't know whether I should feel happy for him getting his memory back or should I feel bad for him forgetting you"

"It's all fate, Meena. I don't know what else is stored for me" she choked.

"What that idiot Lavanya is doing? Can't she just tell him the truth?"

"No one is in the condition to do anything. This is unexpected for everyone. We were getting ready to take him to Tamilnadu for the treatment and he got his memory back. We knew very well that he knows nothing about his mental illness. How does he feel if we say you had been a mentally ill patient?"

"what's the end of this problem, Khushi?"

"I don't know..."

"Didn't he ask who you are?"

"Raizadas said I'm Lavanya's friend and I'm here in the search of a job"

"Didn't he talk to you formally too?"

"He did... he is a nice man. He is ready to offer me a job in AR"

"Oh..."

"Tomorrow I'm going to AR with him"

"At least, something good is going to happen to you"

"Mmmm... I have to go... will call you later"

"Ok, take care"

Meena sighed.

........

Arnav's mind was on a tight schedule with deep thinking. His mind almost rotated around Shyam as his mind was getting cleared slowly about Khushi because Aman was so much fine with her. Arnav believed that Aman won't appreciate a wrong woman... definitely not if she was related to Arnav. So, more than Khushi, Shyam was the one who should be concentrated. He supposed.

At the same time,

Khushi went to the kitchen to help HP as usual.

"Khushi Bhabi, please leave the kitchen." HP pleaded.

"Why Hari Prakashji?"

"Arnav Baba is getting angry with me for making you work in the kitchen. You have no idea how much he scolded me. Please leave"

"But Hari Prakashji, I would like to work for my family. What's wrong with that?"

"You better get permission from your husband instead of arguing with a poor servant."

Khushi sighed.

"He is not wrong though. Why would you work when RM has servants? You are a queen... just sit crossing your legs, Bhabi"

Khushi left the kitchen and said nothing.

In the meantime, Arnav came to Anjali's room. He saw Anjali was on call. Sitting on the bed, he waited for her to finish talking.

"Haan, Panditji... we will be ready in the morning. Yeah... I will prepare Keer for the Pooja... anything else?"

"......."

"Ok, Panditji..."

She disconnected the call and smiled at Arnav.

"Di, can I make a call on your phone? My phone has no charge" he gave the same excuse that he gave to Khushi.

"Why not? Sure" Anjali extended her phone to Arnav.

He typed Swamiji in the calls section but he didn't see any contact as Swamiji on Anjali's phone. Arnav frowned. Even though Khushi dealt with Swamiji his sister would have had his number... but why didn't she have his number?

"Have you finished talking with Swamiji?" Arnav asked, observing Anjali's expression.

"Swamiji? Whom you are talking about, Chotte?" There was no tension on Anjali's face that made Arnav tense.

"The one, Di..."

"Oh... are you mentioning our Panditji as Swamiji?" Anjali chuckled and it sounded so real.

Arnav blinked his eyes slowly and could not understand what to say.

"I had a talk with him and everything is ready for the pooja"

Arnav was gazing at her without getting anything. He himself talked with Swamiji and got to know he was a mental Doctor. Swamiji clearly uttered Khushi's name when he called from her mobile but his sister didn't know about Swamiji. What the hell was that? It didn't seem like Anjali pretending. Her face was so plain. He knew his sister was not an expert to hide her feelings and facial expressions. After he returned from the hospital, he witnessed her facial expressions changing many times. But now, she looked cool that confused him to the core. Didn't really his sister know Swamiji? Then, how Khushi was dealing with him?

He came to the living room with the same thought. He didn't find Khushi there. Where was she? Was she in the kitchen as usual? He walked to the kitchen and she was not there too. HP looked at him bewildered.

"Do you want anything, Arnav Baba?"

Arnav walked away said nothing.

"Thank God, I didn't allow Khushi Bhabi to work in the kitchen. Or else, Arnav baba would have swallowed me alive" HP murmured.

Arnav headed to his room. His legs got stuck as Khushi came out of her room. She looked at him and he sensed disappointment in her face. He smiled at her. Khushi too smiled but Arnav knew the smile was a plastered one. She again got inside her room and sat on the bed. She stood up from the bed, seeing Arnav entering her room, after knocking on the opened door formally. He didn't wait for her permission.

"Are you upset?"

Khushi gulped down.

"So, you are upset"

She nodded NO.

"Then why does your face hang?"

"It's always like that"

"No way... you are talking as if I don't notice your face..."

Khushi looked at him jolting with a bewildered expression. What did he mean?

"You were looking fresh in the morning... so brisk and contented..."

"I was brisk because I had the satisfaction of doing something for others..."

"What happened to your satisfaction now?"

"Hari Prakashji denied taking my help in the kitchen. He asked me not to work in the kitchen" she said feeling sad.

"Did he really do that?"

She nodded yes making a face.

"Thank God, after I come from the hospital, I sensed that no one is following my instructions. It's good to hear."

She looked at him wearily and then looked down.

"You could have told me directly if you don't want me to do that"

"Didn't I tell you?"

"But, what's wrong if I do? I can't sit around doing nothing"

"Just one more day, you will join AR. Then you won't get time for cooking stuff. So, be relaxed UNTIL you stay in RM" he said with a deep gaze.

Khushi jerked... UNTIL? What did he mean?

"You will leave RM after you got a job, right?"

She gulped down hard. Did he offer her a job only to send her from RM?

"I don't want to be greedy, Khushi. that's why I stopped you from cooking"

"Greedy? What does that mean?

"You cook well... especially you make a good tea... if I get used to it then I will miss your dexterity after you leave RM. It may make me think of making your stay in RM FOREVER. It won't be good right? How can I expect you to be here forever? Don't I know I can't have such an expectation from someone whom I don't have any rights with?"

Khushi was choking like hell. He was talking about her leaving RM. She didn't know what to say.

"By the way, Khushi, it seems you are a great devotee"

"Devotee...?" she stammered.

"I mean you would like to listen to saints speak... right?"

"I didn't get you..."

"When I dialed Aman's number, I saw a number in your call list... (he paused for a few seconds and observed her) Swamiji..."

Khushi's eyes widened instantly. He saw nervousness on her face. She clutched her saree pallu tight.

"Oh... haan... I attended his sat-sang last month. That's when I got his number..." she stammered.

Arnav shrank his eyes. Sat-sang? Like really? He knew who Swamiji was. he was not a Saint but a doctor. Her panicky state made his doubt stronger.

"But why did you get his number?"

"So that, I can enquire about his next Sat-sang to attend it..." she gulped.

"He himself calls you and conveys the details about his Sat-sang?"

Khushi didn't know why did he ask so.

"I saw his number in the INCOMING call list..." Arnav asked.

Khushi got stuck.

"I think... he would have dialed my number mistakenly..."

"Oh... when is his next Sat-sang?"

"Maybe next month" she blabbered something.

"Do you know, Nani and Di will be happy if they got to know about your Swamiji? Tell them and take them with you to Sat-sang"

Khushi was shocked. How could she tell them about Swamiji as he was not kind of a Sat-sang saint? What if Arnav opened up about Swamiji in front of them? Arnav's eyes got deep down into Khushi.

"Arnavji..."

"Mmmm?"

"Don't say anything about Swamiji to Nani and Di as of now"

"But why?"

"I don't know when will be his Sat-sang. I don't want to create curiosity in them... that's why"

So, no one knew about Swamiji in RM. But why? They were his family. It seemed Khushi treated him with the help of Swamiji. Then what was the problem in letting his family know about it? Why didn't she tell them about his treatment? How anyone from his family didn't know about his treatment? Was his family that stupid? Or... was Khushi about to start his treatment? maybe, before she told them about it, he should have gotten his memory back. So, she would have dropped the idea of telling them about Swamiji.

"Oh... by the way, why are you nervous all of a sudden?"

Khushi became more nervous. Did he find it?

"No... I'm not nervous..." she turned opposite him.

Taking a long step, Arnav reached her. Standing behind her, he inhaled her hair oil smell. Khushi didn't sense his presence as she was nervous like hell.

"This smell kills me..." he said huskily, making her jerk.

She turned towards him and missed her balance, seeing him standing close to her. Arnav pulled her towards him, circling her waist. He smiled, seeing her bewildered expression.

"You can ACT in the movies"

Khushi looked at his face with parted lips, not getting him.

"Your facial expressions are worth watching" he smirked.

That smirk of him raised her body temperature. Damn... this man...! Arnav sensed it.

"Do you have FEVER?" he asked.

"Haannnn...?"

"Your body is burning"

That was when she sensed she was in his arms. She got detached from him, pushing him slightly. Arnav took a step back smilingly. Khushi was embarrassed like hell. She fiddled with her saree pallu looking down.

"I asked you something, Khushi. Do you have a fever?"

She nodded no hurriedly.

"Then why does your body have a temperature?"

"No... it just"

"No, Khushi... I sensed it..." he extended his hand and touched her forehead with his knuckle.

Khushi looked at him baffled.

"Hey... the heat reduced... how?"

Khushi gulped down.

"I... I have... to go"

She walked slowly keeping a distance from him. Arnav was looking at her panicky figure controlling his smile. Khushi rushed out of the room with her erotic heartbeat.

To be continued...
