68 The Ritual
Part 68 The Ritual
Arnav made everyone awe stuck by hugging Khushi... Including Khushi. She widened her eyes getting shocked. What was this man made up of? What was there in his damn mind? Didn't know when and how he would give shock everyone. Didn't know what reason he was going to give for the sensational HUG. She thought.
Arnav broke the hug but he didn't get detach from Khushi. His hands were still whirling her shoulders.
"Thank you so much, Khushi... Thank you so much for whatever you have done for me. I just can't find a word other than THANK YOU. Just today I got to know your value. Just today I realize what you did for me is something no one ever could imagine. You are a girl who should be celebrated. I'm sorry for not understanding you before itself. I'm sorry I didn't know the seriousness of the issue before. I would not have refused to accept you as my wife if I had known the real issue." Arnav said in a go.
Khushi was startled. Was he ready to accept her as his wife in front of everyone? She was reading his face with the expectation of knowing his mind whereas Raizadas became happy with his statements.
On the other side, Shyam was in an anonymous state. He could not believe Arnav accepted Khushi as his wife. He was undoubtedly happy about it because Anjali would leave RM and would come to his house. At the same time, he was scared too. He didn't assume what Arnav and Khushi's togetherness was going to bring for him.
Khushi ran her eyes on Raizadas who looked super happy. Of course, she was also happy but she was curious to know the reason for his sudden acceptance. She looked at Arnav.
"I tested the medicine again. The doctor who tested it got HORRIFIED. He said whoever behind the medicine must be heartless barbarians."
Arnav said that observing Shyam who was HORRIFIED hearing that. He looked at Anjali whose face emitted an extreme level of SHOCK. Of course, Arnav said that in front of Raizadas because he wanted them to know about the medicine and also the seriousness of its effect because he knew Khushi would not have told them about the cruelty of the medicine.
"That medicine compound is forbidden in many countries including India due to the effect that creates in humans. It makes the man wild because it turns the sexual hormones wild. The man who consumes it becomes uncontrolled and it keeps his mental state unstable. I can understand how much you should have battled with me. You are an epic character Khushi. You could have enjoyed your life lavishing with the title of Mrs. Arnav Singh Raizada, completely ignoring me but you didn't. Seemingly you are a naive girl, you have dashing guts that are impressive..." Arnav added.
"Shall we think, you accepted her as your wife?" Anjali asked curiously.
"Of course, Di... I don't think I can get a better wife than Khushi. I'm proud of her..." Arnav said looking at Khushi with a mild smile.
That smile spread onto everyone's face whereas Khushi lost herself in his smile. How adorable this man was...! How cleverly he accepted her as his wife, putting a valuable reason that can't be doubted. Arnav looked at Raizadas, circling Khushi's shoulder.
"I would like to announce my wedding by throwing a grand reception party, guys"
Lavanya rushed to Khushi and pulled him for a tight hug.
"Congratulations khu... No no... Mrs. Khushi Arnav Singh Raizada..." She kissed Khushi's cheek.
"I'm highly disappointed with you Lavanya..." Arnav said and that changed Lavanya's facial expression.
"Why Bhai?"
"Being a good friend, she saved your life but you failed to do the same when your turn came"
"I didn't get you Bhai. What are you talking about? Tell me clearly..."
Arnav rolled his eyes.
"Yeah... If you can understand everything with a simple hint, you yourself would have passed in exams without Khushi's help..."
"Oh... Are you talking about my exam?" Lavanya asked.
"No... Not at all... She saved you from ME... but, you didn't mind saving her from marrying me... Is not she y friend? Is this what your friend is?" Arnav asked with a serious facial expression.
"Bhai, honestly I tried my best. I was not fine with the marriage but Di was not ready to listen to anyone..." she said, looking at Anjali.
"You should have filed a case with the police..." Arnav said.
Not only Lavanya but also everyone looked at him shockingly.
"Then what's the use of your graduation if it is not used to take decisions in a crucial time?" Arnav folded his hands.
"How could I file a case against Di?" she asked horrified.
"You have to if you find her doing wrong... if not, you would have at least intimidated her..."
Lavanya looked at Anjali who was also shocked. Words were not coming from Anjali's mouth.
"We should stand for right no matter what... just because the wrongdoer is your sister, how could you be blind?" Arnav asked Lavanya.
Arnav's each and every statement churned Shyam's stomach. It felt like, it was an indirect warning for him. of course, yes, if he was so strict with his own sister for what she did then, what about his condition? In fact, Anjali was not completely wrong. More than that, her deed gave them only fruitful consequences. Yet, Arnav was not ready to forgive her easily. Of course, this was why Arnav didn't forgive Anjali easily. Because Arnav didn't want Anjali to think he would forgive Shyam any time... he didn't want it to happen for any reason.
"Chotte, I agree what Anjali Bitiya has done is wrong. But don't forget, you got Khushi like a good girl because of Anjali's wrong deed..." Nani said.
"Just because I accepted Khushi as my wife, we can't categorize the wrong as right, Nani. It's a matter, just like, walking on eggs. I accepted her. so, we can consider it a happy ending. But, what if I don't? Or, what if I never got cured? What if Khushi didn't feel to stop the medicine but continued giving it to me?"
"Bhai, please forget it and start a new life with Khushi." Lavanya pleaded.
Anjali felt dejected by Arnav's harsh statements. It was visible on her face.
"I would like to tell you something, Chotte..." Anjali said.
"You can say anything, Di... Just because I'm disappointed with you, it doesn't mean you are prohibited to speak... you don't have to hesitate..."
"I have decided something..."
"Tell me, Di..."
"I have decided to leave RM..."
Though Arnav didn't expect it he was not surprised. He looked at Shyam who was trying hard to control his joy whereas Nani and Lavanya were shocked. Of course, Khushi was also.
"Why did you make such a decision Di?" Khushi was the one who asked first... worriedly.
"I should have done that long ago, just like all the women do, Khushi. I stayed here after my wedding because I didn't want to leave Nani alone at that time. But now, you are here... You will manage RM... I know" Anjali smiled.
"But, what the necessary, Di?" Lavanya asked.
"You can ask Nani about the necessary. In fact, it's a custom... You too should leave RM after your wedding. It's common" Anjali said.
"Di, if my words ate the reason for your decision..." Arnav tried to say something,
Cutting him,
"No, Chotte... I had taken the decision after seeing Khushi's ability. I just thought to give her space. I'm sure she will fulfill all our expectations"
"No doubt, she will... It doesn't mean you should leave RM..." Lavanya said.
"No Lavanya... Let me experience the responsibility of wife..."
"I want you to leave RM wholeheartedly... No grudges..." Arnav said.
"Trust me... I have no grudge against anyone... I too know what I did is not right... At the same time, I don't think it's wrong..." She smiled
"I hope you will stay in RM until our reception..."
"Sure... We too should get our house ready... it needs some time" Shyam said before Anjali said anything.
Anjali nodded yes.
"It's me and Shyamji who is going to look after your reception arrangements... Hai na, Shyamji?" Anjali said.
"Of course... Why not? After all, this is my only sale sahib's wedding reception..." Shyam said plastering a smile.
"Thanks..." Arnav said formally.
"Have you eaten anything, Arnavji?" Khushi asked.
Arnav nodded no.
"Come and eat first"
"See, do we think of asking this question?" Anjali said teasingly.
Arnav smiled at Khushi pleasantly who blushed with a smile.
Arnav walked to the dining. Khushi served him breakfast. Khushi noticed Nani and Anjali were talking something in a low tone. Anjali nodded ok and went, dialing someone's number.
Lavanya rushed to Khushi,
"Khushi, I will help you to pack your things to shift to Bhai's room," she said cheerfully.
Khushi glanced at Arnav who just stopped eating and looked at Khushi, raising his head.
"No way... Not now, there is a ritual... They have to complete a ritual. Then only Khushi can shift to Chotte's room" Nani said.
"Nani, please... I don't want to perform any damn rituals, ok?" Arnav said.
"Chotte..."
Cutting her,
"Thank God, my wedding was held without my knowledge..."
"But, this ritual can't happen without your knowledge..." Anjali who came, cutting the call said.
"Oh, Di, please... Stop torturing me in the name of ritual..." Arnav stood up, finishing his bread toast and orange juice.
"Torture? Like really Chotte?"
"Then what, Di? Khushi is my wife... What else do we need to be together?"
"That's what this ritual is about... It's nothing but your first night..." Anjali said.
Arnav was dumbfounded and Khushi was embarrassed as everyone was looking at them.
"Are not you ready to perform the ritual Chotte?" Anjali asked teasingly.
Without saying anything, Arnav left the place smirking, leaving Khushi in hell awkward situation.
To be continued...
