Hey, Jay hehe

Finally, Middle School life ended here!

After the winter break, I noticed that Grace appeared more often in my life of stuttering.

Morning at the class doorstep became the morning at the school gate, we would walk together from the gate to the class. During the weekend, I would see her picnic in the park with two other classmates, and they struck the conversation with me and familiarized themselves with Joe and Nicky. There was one girl classmate who's really good with dogs, Joe and Nicky especially liked her.

I thought they were nice people. However, they still laughed very loudly every morning at the stupid "Hey Jay" routine of Grace.

Everything happened as it should to my graduation day. I passed the entrance exam to one of the best high schools in the city, while all my classmates went for the district public high school.

"Hey, Jay hehe!" I didn't have to turn around to figure out who that might be. It was Grace. At the same doorstep, it had happened about a thousand times probably?

I turned around. It's just Grace, with that #smilingnotsmiling kinda smile again.

"H....hey"

The difference was that no one was in the class laughing at me anymore. After the graduation ceremony, they all went home.

"Guess what?"

I had no clue.

"I...I....I d...don't know"

"Our class is having a party tonight at Oishi Hotpot, let's go together!"

Yeah. The class's most popular guy who laughed the loudest had told me about it with a wink. He was also in the park picnic group. He's smart, and helped me out sometimes, just quite blunt.

I didn't want to turn it down directly, so I told her I would think about it.

I went inside the class and took my bag. Looking around the last time, finally, I could leave this place. That was my final thought of middle school.

I didn't go to the class graduation party. Instead, I spent an extra long time with Joe and Nicky in the park. My dad and grandpa came home earlier, and we celebrated my graduation and my birthday with a small store-bought hotpot.

I ignored the popular guy's calls, good with dog girl's calls and Grace's calls.
