Task 1: Describe the diagram.

The graph provides insights about how the urban population in certain parts of the world has grown from 1950 to 2000 and it also indicates speculation about future growth in 2030.

Overall, in all mentioned areas, the urban parts have become significantly more populated over 50 years and the future growth, though might not be as rapid as it used to be, is still considerable and shows no signs of a pause.

Based on the given figures, it's apparent that between 1950 and the year 2000, there has been tremendous urbanisation worldwide, especially in Africa and Asia, with both continents started at only around 10% and by the year 2000, both numbers almost reached 40%. When compared to the data of the whole world, Africa and Asia were likely the less urbanised parts of the world, as in 1950, the urban population already accounted for approximately a third of the world's population.

The shown prediction expects that by the year 2030, the world's urban population will have made up for 60%, and even in the less urbanised areas like Africa and Asia, the numbers will have already surpassed 50%. Remarkably, in this time in the future, it is predicted that Latin America will have 80% of their population turned into urban population.

Task 2: In some countries, young people have become richer, healthier, and live longer,

but they are less happy.

What are the causes?

What can be done to address this situation?

There are reasons leading to this and also lots of actions that need to be taken in order to improve the current situation.
