chapter 2
Brandon woke up before Ritchie had, but instead of going back to sleep, he just watched his brother with soft eyes. He heard something shifting and saw that Ritchie was waking up. He remained still until his brother opened his eyes, greeting the older with a smile.
''Good morning Ritchie.'' Ritche cuddled into Brandon's chest while Brandon was speaking.
''Good morning Bwother.'' Brandon wrapped his arms around Ritchie as he sat up, making sure that he wouldn't drop his brother.
He got out of bed before bringing Ritchie into the kitchen and setting him down at the table. Ritchie whined when Brandon placed him down, but he didn't complain. Brandon heard the whine and turned to Ritchie, patting his head before speaking.
''Don't worry Ritchie, I'm just getting you some breakfast.'' Brandon picked up an apple out of a fruit basket before cutting it into slices.
When he finished, he brought it to Ritchie who happily ate it. Brandon got himself an apple and began to eat it, finishing a few seconds after Ritchie did. Brandon gave Ritchie a small smile before asking him soemthing.
''What do you want to do?'' Ritchie thought for a moment before responding.
''Outside?'' Brandon nodded and Ritchie cheered...
And almost fell out of his chair.
Brandon caught him though before he could fully fall out, so he's okay. Brandon than picked Ritchie up and placed him on the ground. Ritchie looked at Brandon for a moment before asking something.
''Can you cawwy me?'' Brandon nodded and used his magic to pick Ritchie up and place him on his shoulders.
Ritchie wrapped his arms around Brandon's neck as he leaned on his head. Brandon used his magic to make sure that Ritchie wouldn't fall before walking outside.
The two of them walked around the island before ending up at the garden, where Mario, Tapio, and Lucas were. Ritchie's eyes brightened as his vision landed on Tapio. Brandon realized what his brother was thinking and let him down. Ritchie had immediately ran towards the group, taking all of them by surprise when Tapio was tackled by a small blue blur, only hearing one word get cried out.
''KITTY!'' Everyone looked towards Tapio, and saw that Ritchie was hugging Tapio, who was taller than him by a little, and nuzzling him happily.
They all gave Ritchie a soft smile before Mario and Lucas turned towards Brandon when they heard him walking up to them.
''You weren't wrong when you said Ritchie really likes animals.'' Brandon chuckled at Mario's statement before his eyes went to the two slayers.
''Nope. But I should probably get going and finish taking Ritchie on a walk around the island.'' Brandon looked back at Ritchie before calling out.
''Let's go Ritchie!'' Ritchie frowned before Brandon continued.
''If we run into David, we can ask him if you can make some flower crowns with the flowers from his garden.'' Ritchie's eyes brightened and he immediately let go of Tapio before running to Brandon.
''We'll be on our way now.'' Brandon turned to Ritchie after he said that.
''What di we say when we leave someone who we know?'' Ritchie thought for a second before responding.
''Bye!'' He took Brandon's hand and walked off, Brandon letting himself be dragged along.
