Part 16 Yes...
Khushi called Ratna. Ratna's face bloomed with a smile, seeing Khushi's name flashing on her mobile screen.
"Khushi beta... how are you?"
"I'm good, Amma... what about you?"
Ratna sighed.
"I don't know what to say..."
"Did you try what I said?"
"Yeah... I did..."
"Did Arnavji know about it?"
"Of course, I did that in front of him only."
"Didn't he say anything?"

Ratna noted down a few sacred dates from the calendar and waited for Arnav to arrive. When she heard his car sound, she got ready with the phone receiver.
"Ok, Panditji... I will ask Arvindji and Arnav and finalize the date. Thank you..."
Arnav stood for a second and headed to his room. He stopped again as Ratna called him.
"Chotte...."
Arnav looked at him without any expression on his face, as usual.
"I was talking about your marriage... you are going as if you are not related to it...?"
"What do you want me to say?"
"I'm going to fix the marriage date..."
"Are you asking my permission or informing?"
"Let it be anything... you have to obey me... or else..."
"You will leave the house... right?"
"Do you think I won't do that?"
"I won't say...because I have lost the ability to judge people and their actions long ago..."
Ratna pitied him. but...
"You can't gain my sympathy, talking like this..." Her eyes tear up.
Arnav gulped down, seeing his mother so vulnerable.

Arvind who just enter with Shashi saw the scene. They spared a glance, seeing Ratna hugging him with tears.
"Ratna..." he called her.
The mother and the son looked at them. Arnav was uncomfortable as he didn't expect his going-to-be father-in-law's arrival. Ratna rushed to them and asked Shashi.
"Bhai, did you bring sweets?"
Shashi nodded NO embarrassingly because Ratna never asked him for sweets.
"What happened Ratna...? You look happy?" Arvind asked.
"Haan... I'm so happy... you guys will also be..." she said pointing at them.
"What's the matter Ratnaji?"
"Chotte agreed to marry Khushi..." she said delightedly.
Arvind and Shashi switched their gazes to Arnav who was slightly smiling at them and headed to his room. He couldn't stand their overjoyed condition.
Arvind hugged Shashi with happy tears.
"Chotte is lucky to have you as his father-in-law..."
"Khushi is also lucky to have you as her in-laws..."
"Wait... I will prepare keer..." Ratna was about to go to the kitchen,
"That's ok Ratnaji... without wasting time, come to our home to ask Khushi's hand..." Shashi smiled.
"Yeah... we will come tomorrow morning..." Ratna said.
"Chotte said yes to the marriage... what else do we want more?" Arvind said.
"Yeah, before him changing his mind, we have to get them married," Shashi said laughingly.
"We will come to your home tomorrow," Arvind said.
"We will be waiting..." Shashi said.

Garima huffed in relief when Shashi told them about Arnav's acceptance whereas Khushi bit her lip to control her smile.
"They are coming tomorrow morning to give Shagun to Khushi."
Garima nodded ok.
"What will prepare for them?"
"Snacks and tea are enough..."
"What? They are very BIG-SHOT. I don't think it will be enough." Garima said.
"Ok... then do what you want to..." Shashi smiled.
"Did Arnav say YES to the marriage?" Garima asked.
"Yes, he said yes."
"But, all of a sudden how did he agree?"
"I don't know WHY... but he agreed... that's all"
Khushi smiled upon hearing that. Yes... whatever the reason would be, he agreed.
Dinner table
Ratna served them food.
"Ratna... don't fill my plate heavily... I am not in the mood to have food because my heart is filled." Arvind said.
Arnav ate silently without looking at him even though he understood why his heart is filled.
At that time, Ratna's phone started ringing. It was her sister Manorama's call.
"Mano..." her voice sounded happy.
"How are you Jeeji? You sound happy?"
"Yes, I'm so happy today..."
Arnav nodded no smiling inwardly. It will take at least an hour for Ratna to disconnect the call. If she starts talking with her sister, she won't cut the call without reciting everything to her.
"Did Arnav bituwa agree to the marriage?"
"Exactly... how do you know?"
"What else other than his happiness will make you happy?"

Arnav bit his lip raising his brows.
"By the way, thank you..."
"For?"
"Making my dad happy... he is very happy you know?"
"Mmm..."
"Your mom and dad are also happy...do you know why?"
Arnav was silent. However, she is going to answer... and she did.
"It's because they are going to get Khushi Gupta as their bahu..."
Arnav rolled his eyes even though he knew it was true.
"Dad told me that you smiled today. I missed it... he said you look so beautiful while smiling... let's see...when will I get a super chance to see the smile."
Arnav looked at his image in the mirror and smiled.
