Second Chance (part 3)
Lucia’s POV
She was a beautiful girl with the most beautiful red hair I had ever seen. Her hair looked like silk falling perfectly on her shoulder, long and was taken care very carefully. Despite the fact that Chloe was a model, a very famous one, she was still friendly, kind and funny. She wasn’t like the other models I had met, with all the arrogant attitude and annoying things. I always had a secret admiration for Chloe, not just because she was pretty, but It was because she always stood up to fight for what she believed.
Greeting me with a big smile, Chloe said in her sweet and happy voice:
“Hi Lucia! It’s great to see you here with my Harry!” She came closer to hug me, patted gently on my back. I didn’t reply anything, just gave her a simple smile so she wouldn’t think I was a rude person. Chloe and I didn’t see each other much. This was like the forth or fifth times we met during the long time they had dated. For somewhat reasons I didn’t feel like seeing her, and somehow I felt that Harry knew it.
Chloe let go off me and came to Harry. She pulled him into a passionate kiss, tangled her hand in his curly hair. I suddenly felt like a sharp knife was cutting inside my heart but the pain was unspeakable and too vague.
“Thank you so much for doing this. I couldn’t find a small time do go with him and I honestly couldn’t put my faith in Harry in these stuffs.
I nodded and smiled again. Before anybody could say anything, I excused myself, made a fake reason so I could go. I couldn’t stand watching this anymore. It was too hard, too much for my heart. Fresh air and a time of my own, that was the only thing I needed right now.
“So…since you are here, I’ll have to say sorry and leave you two alone. If I spend a minutes more to play and hang around with you guys, I’ll be fired soon.” I laughed a little and went to my bag.
“Oh, that’s too sad. I’m kind of looking forward to having a cup of coffee with you, just two of us.” Chloe spoke with her nice and sad voice. “Maybe I can find a way to get rid of this curly and you can find a way with your work sometimes?”
“That’s great.” I said and gave each of them a hug. Chloe patted my back gently – maybe that was one of her habit while Harry just simply returned my hug. He seemed a lot quiet than usual, and thoughtful too.
The cold and moist air outside attacked me and caused me shiver when I opened the glass door. I felt the wind was running fast and painful through my empty heart, sending tremble to my hands. They were ice-like, and shaking slightly.
“Stop…” I whispered quietly, hoping that my hands would stop being weird so I could plug my key in. Sadly, all of my mind didn’t obey me anymore, the key slipped out of my fingers, and fell on the pavement.
“Sh*t!” I sworn in frustration and got out off my car. But before I could pick it up, someone else’s hand had done it. I stood straight up and caught familiar green eyes examining my faces with questionability and care.
“Give me back my key!” I stubbornly said, ignoring the care in his eyes. I honestly didn’t want to think about it, or wasn’t allowed to think about it.
“One question: Why you have to leave?” Harry asked me with his low voice, as usual, while taking small and calm steps closer to me. He somehow knew that my heart was on fire because of worry, and he decided to tease me.
“I’m busy with…”
“Crap!” He shook my key in his long pointed-finger. “You honestly thought I was gonna believe that?!”
He finally reached to my spot and held my face in his big hand. His grip tightened, holding my face still, forcing me to look into his eyes.
“Don’t try to struggle. Tell me!”
“Because…” I said, finally gave in. “I couldn’t stand seeing you and Chloe. It was too painful for my heart. How could I stand there, watch the person I loved kissing and planning wedding plan with another girl? I’m not a superman, Harry. I’m just a normal person, and no normal person can do that.”
My word streamed like waterfall, and so did my tears. I felt Harry tensed up when he heard what I said, and slowly, his grip loosened. Taking the chance, I got out, and stayed a distance between both of us.
“Let me go, Harry!”
He handed me the key. “Wait, was he crying?” I asked myself.
“Tell me that you’re going to the lake-house with us this weekend.” For the first time, I heard begging in his voice.
“I will.” I said.
“Promise?” Harry held out his pinky finger and I let out a laugh. This was what we always did when we were little.
“Promise.” I intertwined my finger with his.

Lucia’s POV
I was packing my stuff for the lake-house trip while my friend, Vani, was laying like a lazy cat.
“Vani, do you really think I should go there?” I asked the multiply times in today, not talking about the days before.
Vani sighed loudly, turned around and rolled her eyes at me. “Yes, Lucia, you should. I think you should with all my heart.”
“But…They are getting married in Sunday. How am I gonna leave before that if I had already stayed there ‘till Saturday? There is no way Harry gonna allow me to go.”
“Then don’t.” Vani shrugged like it was the most simple thing in this world.
“Don’t what?”
“Don’t leave. That’s easy! Just show up at the wedding like a normal friend, and then you can leave before they start eating.” She said, stood up to pat my shoulder and came to the mirror to fix her hair. “But I honestly think if you’re going to miss the ‘eating’ part, It’ll be the most stupid decision of your life. I’ve seen the menu. The foods were really good!”
I giggled at Vani’s words, but immediately came back with worry.
“How can I face the moment he says ‘I do’, Vani?” I groaned and buried my face in my hand.
“Don’t worry. I’ll be there with you. Then I’ll help you sneak out when people don’t pay attention. Harry asked me to have a speech in the party.” She smirked a little “Maybe if you give me some candies, I’ll stay up late tonight and make my speech longer.”
I jokingly slapped on Vani’s hand and felt a lot better. But the worry still didn’t have any intention of going away. “Should I…?” I thought.
“You really should go, Lucia. Besides, you had promised with Harry, remember? If you won’t go, Harry might kill me, or hit me to spit out where you hide like a coward chicken.”
Vani and Harry always fought and argued with each other like that. She was stubborn while Harry was bossy. They were like fire and water together. But somehow, when Harry had problems, apart from me, Vani would be the person he asked for advices.
“Fine! I’ll go. But promise that you’ll stay by my side.”
“Have I ever not? Now, get out and take a bigger suitcase. How can you go to a wedding with such a small suitcase like this?”
Vani pushed me outside and I complained loudly when I got upstairs. Vani shook her head at me, pulling out her cellphone to send a message, carefully not to let me see.

[Weekend – Lakehouse…]
Harry’s POV
I was reading a random magazine when I heard Vani’s loud and noisy voice outside. I got up from my couch immediately.
“They’re here!” Niall walked out from his room, rechecked his look at the mirror and smiled happily.
“You mean, ‘Vani’s here’?” I teased and put the magazine down on the table.
“Shut up!” Niall said, a little pink appeared on his cheeks and I laughed. Those kids…
“I bet you heard me coming, and you didn’t even go outside to say ‘Hi’ to me? What’s kind of host are you? I know I shouldn’t have come here at the first place.”
Vani came in, loud and annoying as usual.
“Well, I was kinda hoping Niall will take the annoying problem for me.” I said and Vani hit me playfully. Following Vani was Lucia, quiet and seemed really nervous.
“Hi!” I said to her, put my cold hand on her cheeks to pull back her attention. Lucia smiled like a kid.
“I kept my promise.” She said.
“Yes, you do!” I teased and took her suitcase, leaded her to her room while Niall, of course, was helping Vani.
“Ta-dah!” I said when opening the door of her room. I was spending last evening, with the help of the boys to decorate the room, clean things and furniture.
“I decorated it.” I said with proud when I caught the happy and surprise look in Lucia’s voice. “With the boys’ help, of course.”
I chose this room for Lucia because I knew she loved waking up with the sunlight and fresh air. From the window, she could see the lake and the back yard.
“It’s beautiful!” Lucia said and excitedly opened the window. “Thank you, Harry!”
“Never mind.”
“Have your parents and Chloe come yet?”
“No. They’ll come in the evening. Chloe is busy with her work and my Mom doesn’t want to miss her Yoga class.”
Lucia giggled. “Your Mom is always love Yoga. Can’t blame her!”
“Yeah! Right!” I said and rolled my eyes. “I’m gonna leave you alone to take a rest. Dinner will be at 7pm. Don’t be a lazy cat and overslept, okay?”
“Okay!” She smiled and waved at me. When I walked out and closed the door behind my back, I heard Lucia sighing loudly and my heart sinked down. Vani had warned me this. Lu might be very nervous and keep a distance.

A/N: I was about to post the rest of this story, but then I decided to leave the best things to part 4. Wait and see if Harry and Lucia will be together, or he'll get married to Chloe. What do you guys think about Chloe? Is she a good person just like Lucia's view or she is going to do something to prevent their love when she found out? Comment me and if you got it right, I might spend a story for you. :D
@Lucia: I'm sorry for adding myself as a character in the story without asking you. My cousin said this story was a little too sad and I was needing a name for 'Lucia's friend', so I decided to put me in to make things more funny. ( I had found out only when I write about me was I able to be crazy and weird in writing.) Sorry if you don't like it! :)
Enjoy the story and PLEASE, COMMENT!
You don't know how much I'm waiting for a comment EVERYDAY. Pleaseeee! x
