Operation: Jester-Bunny Matchmaking
Chapter 1: Excited!
"Kaufmo, may I ask you something?"
Ribbit turned to Kaufmo, laying down on the long couch.
"What?" Kaufmo sat up, slightly tilting towards her.
She turned back and looked at the tall bunny who's surely having a very good time with the jester afar. Well, based on the non-stop laughing and chuckling, yeah.
"You know, I've never seen him this lively before."
Kaufmo stared at them for a while, then slowly nodded his head. "Yeahh, they're pretty close."
"Pretty close?" Ribbit immediately stood up from her chair. "That ain't no pretty close? Look at his fucking smile, his fucking look for her. Just...see?" She pointed at Jax, staring at Pomni while she was probably sharing some stories so passionately it seemed like a talkshow.
"Have you seen my point yet?"
Kaufmo hesitated for a while. "Uhhh..."
"Oh, damn it, Kaufmo." Ribbit sighed desperately. "What I mean is, he is so in love with her. Got it?"
"Hmmm..." Kaufmo turned to look at them again. "I see... You're probably right."
Ribbit was speechless. "Just that? Your best friend is probably experiencing love for the first time and that's your reaction?"
"What do you want me to say?"
"I don't know, 'oh finally our boy has found his soulmate' or just a simple shocked expression?" Ribbit shrugged her shoulders. "Whatever," she chuckled, "what do you think?"
"Think of what exactly?"
"Of him. Of her. Of them?"
His voice lowered. "...I don't think they have realised it yet. And even if they do... they'd deny it."
"So what do you think we should do? I mean, I can't just stand here and wait for eternity until that avoidant rabbit realises his feelings?" Ribbit frowned slightly, adjusting the bow with somewhat worry.
"I mean, they gotta work it out themselves. But we can stillllll act as a catalyst..." Kaufmo looked at Ribbit and blinked mischievously.
Ribbit squinted her eyes. "What the fuck is a catalyst?"
"Do you not learn middle school chem?" He facepalmed in disappointment.
"OH YES! Yeah, yeah, catalyst or whatever. Who remembers chem in a digital circus? You nerd." Ribbit nudged him.
"Damn it Ribbit-" Kaufmo sighed, then paused.
"I successfully corrupted you!" She exclaimed with a triumphant smile on her face.
"Shi-"
"You did it again!"
"Hi, Gangle-"
Zooble's face suddenly appeared right behind Gangle's face... Oh wait, mask.
"Oooh! H..hi, Zooble, I mean..."
She quickly rushed to hide whatever was on her hand.
"What's that?" Zooble tilted their head, reaching for "whatever that is".
"W-wait—"
"Oh. Ohhhh."
Nah, it was nothing serious. Just a notebook filled with doodles and sketches. With sketches of Jax and Pomni...
"It's...it's nothing..." Gangle's face flustered slightly, trying her best to reach for the notebook in Zooble's hand without making too much sound or the "subjects" were gonna find out.
They let out a small laugh-like sound.
"You saw something between those two too, right?"
Gangle stopped reaching for the notebook, looking up at Zooble.
"Huh? You too?"
"I'm pretty sure it's kinda obvious for all of us..." they closed the notebook, handing it back to her.
Gangle smiled, staring at the front of her notebook. "Yeah...I saw that something for a while now."
"Bet Jax has a thing for her. That fuckass rabbit is shit at hiding feelings."
"But what about Pomni? Do you think she feel the same?"
"I mean, Jax has always been an asshole, and Pomni is good to everyone..."
"Zooble, wanna make a bet?"
"...sure.
And there they were, 4 people sitting, standing, and staring at those 2 from afar with the same "Aw, circus couple, early phase" gaze. The frog and the clown seemed to realize the ribbons and the... well, Zooble, were staring at the same thing, with the same kind of look.
The "Damn it Jax, just confessed to her", the "I guess they like each other", the "Aww they're so cute together", and the "Shit, just go on a date already" Feel free to guess who were these quotes from.
Ribbit spoke up first.
"We all are looking at the same thing, right?"
Zooble whispered to Gangle, "see, I told you, obvious as hell to everyone."
She quietly chuckled, turning to Ribbit and Kaufmo. "You guys too."
"Yeah. But with this pace, the day they confessed is gonna be the day we found an exit."
"But there's no exit-" Kaufmo tilted his head.
"Kaufmo, I know, that's the point." Ribbit roughly interrupted him.
"...you mean we should help?"
"If you mean helping an avoidant rabbit and a panicking jester get together, yes, I do." She nodded quickly. "I don't wanna be here watching them being romantically blind and miserable for decades."
"Not really decades—"
"Kauf, I know. That's fucking hyperbola."
"Uhh..." Gangle slowly raised her hand. "Isn't hyperbola math? I thought it was hyperbole—"
"Oh yes, hyperbole. I'm sorry." Ribbit giggled.
"But like, how exactly should we help? I mean, we can't tell 'em "CONFESS!" can we?"
Everyone jumped up because of that sudden volume-jump of them.
"Oops...sorry."
"We could increase interactions between them..."
"By suggesting Caine with some exclusive-interaction adventures?"
"NICE IDEA GANGLE!" Ribbit cheerfully nudged Gangle, almost making her fall. "I'm so sorry!" She immediately apologised.
"It's okay." Gangle smiled. "Who's gonna tell Caine?"
Silence.
Well, after all those dramas, Caine's no longer the villainous denture they once "disliked". He's more... open-minded now.
Still, this topic was a little too human for him to understand. It could end up being... weird.
"Let Zooble do it." Kaufmo interrupted the silence. "They're the one who has least interest in the adventures before, and if this makes them participate more, Caine's gonna agree."
Eyes turned to Zooble.
"What?" They sighed. "Fine."
"Caine." said languidly by Zooble.
Caine immediately popped up from nowhere. "Hello my little colorful LEGO's! What can I help you with?"
"Oh god, I can't believe I'm actually doing this." Zooble muttered, they took a quick glance behind and saw Gangle hiding behind the pink and orange pyramid blocks.
They could read her mouth saying "You can do it!".
Zooble's lips curled up a little bit (wait, didn't they not have a mouth? That's the power of imagination).
"Hi Caine, so...there's something I would like to suggest."
Caine's eyes widened, he immediately sat down (on an imaginary chair) with some popcorn. "I'm all ears!"
"So... Jax and Pomni have been... pretty close recently."
Caine nodded. "Hmm, I noticed that too. What about it?"
"You did? That's way easier now." They breathed out a sigh of relief. "If you noticed further, you'd see that they seem to have special feelings for each other, and they haven't realised it yet..."
"Oooh! Sounds interesting!"
"If you can do us all a favor and host adventures so that they can have more time with each other, it'd be wonderful for them and all of us!"
Zooble tried to make their voice as enthusiastic as they can, but clearly that didn't sound natural enough.
Caine then just stared at them in silence.
"...hmmm... interesting!" Suddenly he stood up in excitement. Caine snapped his fingers, the popcorns disappeared into thin air. "This will make them closer, and you guys will be more happy right?"
"Yes!" Zooble exclaimed. "Exactly!"
"Then sure, why not! Let me come back to my office to plan some-"
"Wait!"
Caine turned his head. "What's wrong, my little Zooble?"
"Can we give some suggestions for the adventures? Here, Gangle will give you a list of suggestions later, okay?" They turned to Gangle, still hiding there.
"Oh, hi Gangle, didn't see you there!" Caine waved his hand.
Gangle stood there in confusion, mouth opened.
"See you guys!"
Then he disappeared.
"...uh, what?"
----------------------
"Fictional fantasy, detective, farms,..."
"Any other ideas?"
"Oh! Superheroes!"
Here they were, at the café, all discussing "customized adventures".
"Yes!!" Ribbit held the sheets of paper up like some kind of certificate of achievement.
Kaufmo pointed to the "illustrations". "Are those necessary?"
Gangle blushed slightly, scratching her cheek. "Mayyybe... it's more for...entertainment."
"Caineee~"
"Yes?" Caine appeared right after Ribbit called.
"Here." She handed the papers to Caine. "The suggestions."
"You guys really put a lot of effort into this thing, huh?" Caine skimmed through the script. "Well then, the rest will be in my hands! See you guys tomorrow!"
—————
"Hello my little friends!" Caine excitedly spun around, waiting for the circus members to gather around.
"Why are we here today? It's interrupting my sleep schedule." Jax yawned, like it was 5 in the morning. It definitely wasn't (but if it is, it's not like we can know. There's no time.)
The atmosphere was... strange. Why did everyone (almost everyone?) seem so excited? Not like they're not excited with Caine's help recently, but...
Whatever, Pomni probably was just overthinking. That's her specialty.
"What's the adventure today? You seem excited."
Yep, Caine seemed to be excited too.
"Don't worry, you guys will all get excited! Now go!"
Caine snapped his fingers, and before anyone could say anything,
BAAM!
A random colorful block pushed all of them into the portal.
"Lets hope those two and all of them love this customized adventure!"

(DEFINITELY NOT PREVIEW)
"Abigail Holmes kinda fits ya, ya' know?"
"Leeroy Watson? That sucks."
"Hey! I was praising you!"
