71 Clue
Part 71 Clue
The woman was not Vidhula but a real muslim woman. She exited the car in front of a house and smiled at an old man. Kishor approached her casually and checked his mobile to listen to their conversation.
"How is your friend?" The old man asked.
"She is fine, Vapa..."
"You just came from Dubai two days ago and today ran to meet your friend as if she would dissolve in the air today itself", the old man countered.
"Vapa, it's been a long time since we met... That's why I went to meet her. She would feel bad if I didn't..."
"Ok, ok.. However, you have finished your duty of meeting her"
"Yeah..." The woman went inside.
Though Kishor didn't find anything suspicious, he called Karan and told him what he saw and heard. Karan disconnected the call, looking at Arnav, and said,
"She is not Vidhula, but her friend from Dubai"
"Ask someone to check where Vidhula is"
"Yeah..." Karan called someone and directed him to follow Vidhula.
Arnav's nervousness reached its peak. Khushi was missing. He didn't know where she was or who had kidnapped her. Sheetal was out of police custody. Vidhula could also have kidnapped Khushi. He didn't know where to start searching for her. He felt like someone squeezed hire heart. He didn't know how she was struggling. The mere thought killed him.
"ASR, do you know Khushi ma'am's phone's password?"
Arnav nodded no. Karan punched his thigh in annoyance.
"Did you assign anyone to follow Lokesh Ram?"
"Yes, I did"
"Any information?"
"Not yet"
Arnav sat in the park, holding his head.
"Don't lose hope, ASR..." Karan tried to give him hope.
"How could it be in hope? Khushi is missing. Her phone is found in this park. The person who kidnapped her dropped her mobile in this park intentionally only to stop us from tracing her."
That was when they saw an old man getting inside the park and watering the plants in the garden. Arnav and Karna looked at him and rushed to him. The man flinched, seeing them thundering towards him. He was confused seeing high-class people in three parks, that too at that time. Usually, people visit the park in the early morning or evening.
"Excuse me, are you working here?" Arnav asked.
"Yes, sir... I'm working here"
"Did you see anyone coming to the park and sitting next to the flower pot?" Arnav inquiried.
"Sorry, sir, I just came", the gardener said.
Arnav and Karan were disappointed. All the doors to reach Khushi were closed.
That was when Payal called Arnav. He attended the call.
"Tell me, Payal..." Arnav's voice sounded worried.
"Did you get anything about Khushi?"
"No, Payal. We found her mobile in the park, which is in the corner of your clinic lane"
"What do you mean, Arnav?" Payal was horrified. It was a bit hard for her to understand that Khushi was kidnapped.
"I don't know what to say, Payal. I talked to the commissioner and gave the man's photo. He would have passed it to all the stations, I suppose"
"Khushi will be safe, Arnav. Nothing will happen to her." Payal said, and Arnav felt like choking.
"I will tell you later", Arnav disconnected the call.
He felt helpless. His inner soul shivered. He could not even imagine what would have happened to Khushi. His eyes teared up.
"ASR... Please be brave," Karan said, feeling bad for him.
..........
Khushi was lying in the back seat of a dark green Scorpio car, unconscious. The vehicle travelled on the Airport highways. The man who picked Khushi up from the clinic drove the car disguised. He stopped the car at a tollgate. He saw police searching all the vehicles. He looked at Khushi, who had no movement.
"Rana, I think police are searching for this girl," the man in the passenger seat said.
"I, too, think the same. Don't show nervousness on your face. Be careful. If we look tense, we will get caught," Rana warned his partner in crime.
"We will get caught if we cross the toll or go back", he said, the reality.
"Just be relaxed, Ashok." Rana insisted.
Without showing any tension in his face, Rana stopped the car next to a juice shop and ordered juice for them. Then he exited the vehicle and casually stretched his hands, showing coolness. His eyes were on the police who were checking the car.
"Rana, we can't stay here for long. If she wakes up, we will get into trouble."
"Don't worry. The dosage will keep her unconscious for at least four hours."
"But, it seems the police will not leave the place"
"They won't... But we will..."
"How?"
"Just sit in the car and pretend to sleep. After half an hour, we will turn the car and return."
"Then, how will we reach the airport?"
"We will think about it later. We have to leave this place without getting into the police's eyes"
"Mmm..." Ashok went to the car and sat in the passenger seat, adjusting the seat comfortably. Then pretended to sleep as Rana said.
Rana sat in the driver's seat and turned the AC on. He intentionally turned the AC on. So that no one would doubt them, he could move the vehicle backwards slowly if the car was on. However, implementing their plan was not as easy as they thought. As it was a busy tollgate, somebody was behind their car, not allowing them to move out of the backyard. Yet, Rana didn't miss the chance when he got it. He used all his small chances and drove the car backwards one or two feet. It continued for half an hour, and they were losing their patience.
If Khushi's husband found out she was missing, they would get into big trouble. Before he learned she was missing, she should be taken to a distance he could not reach, they thought. At the sand time, they were relaxed because they thought it would take time for Arnav to learn about it. However, he would come to the clinic to pick Khushi up only in the evening, and Khushi would be beyond his reach at that time, they supposed.
But they didn't know Arnav had already found out and started searching for her. They were not wrong, though. Arnav would have called her only in the evening if Shashi had not visited RM. He called her only to convey the message that they had left RM.
Thinking and planning were easy, but implementing them was! Rana and Ashok planned well, but they were unaware of the RM happenings. If they had known about it, they would have postponed their plan.
On the other side,
The commissioner called Arnav. He attended the call.
"Yes, sir"
"ASR, could you send me your wife's photographs?"
"Yeah, sir, sure... I still send you"
"Do it", he disconnected the call.
Arnav opened his phone and was about to open the photo gallery, but his hand stopped seeing a message notification. He hurriedly opened the message as something sparked in his head. His face bloomed when he saw the message was from Khushi. She texted the car number that took her to the patient's house.
To be continued...
