35 Lifeline
Part 35 Lifeline
"Arnav destined to die by a POISONED ARROW... his life should have ended by now. There is no chance for him to be alive."
Chaitanya and Medha were shocked to the core and also confused.
"But, he is still alive... fit and fine," Chaitanya said.
"No way... how it's possible? How FATE could be changed?"
"I don't know what to say, Guruji. Arnav is still alive. That's true," Chaitanya said.
"He was supposed to be hit by the poisoned arrow but, a girl saved him," Medha said.
"A GIRL? Who is she?"
"She is a foreigner. She came to our Kingdom as a visitor,"
"Where is she? Did she leave?"
"Not yet. She is staying in our kingdom as a guest. Arnav took her to the Temple,"
"In fact, I wanted to talk about an important matter with you," Chaitanya said.
Shivguru became thoughtful.
"Please, come, Guruji," They took him inside.
"Tell me clearly, what happened," Shivguru asked, sitting on the broad chair.
"Arnav was staying with our southern force as he expected Ashoka's invitation to the Kalinga war but he didn't get the invitation. He met the girl there when she saved our kingdom's girl from a man who tried to abduct her. When Arnav enquired the girl about the incident, she told him that Hemadri was behind it but she was not ready to come to our capital to complain against him due to fear. But the foreigner was ready to do that on behalf of the girl. So, Arnav brought her to our capital. On the way to the capital, someone tried to kill Arnav when he was taking a bath in a river. That was when the foreigner saved him"
"I can't believe this"
"Why Guruji?"
"His death was clearly there in his horoscope. As per his horoscope, he should have died before Ashoka quit the war. I thought it would happen in the war. I even checked Arnav's lifeline on his palm but it didn't give me hope. It was so light and there was a deep cleft in his lifeline. Then how did it happen?"
"Could you tell us, seeing his horoscope what will happen in his life hereafter?"
"No... there is nothing in his horoscope after the day of his death. We can't predict anything by his horoscope."
"Means, will he die?" Medha asked fearfully.
"I can't say anything"
"Arnav likes to marry the foreigner... he just told me his wish this morning"
Shivguru became thoughtful. He looked at Chaitanya and said,
"Shall I meet the girl?"
"Sure... they must be on their way... I will get her here"
He clapped and the next second a guard came inside the room and bowed.
"Ask Prince Aparajith to bring Khushi here"
The guard again bowed and left the palace.
"When did you come from Pataliputra, Guruji?"
"I came here straight from the Pataliputra to meet you to know how you are without Prince Aparajith. I would not have gone to Pataliputra if Ashoka had not called me for the huge Pooja before the war. I could not refuse his invitation but, I didn't expect Arnav would be alive. Do you know what would have happened if he had died?"
Chaitanya and Medha glanced at each other.
"This kingdom would have gone into the wrong hands. You would have lost your goodwill"
"Yes, Guruji, the foreigner helped us to find out the thievishness of the fake saint and Hemadri. They were traitors. They tried to abduct the throne. I doubt they were the ones who tried to kill Arnav"
"Maybe..."
"What would we do now, Guruji?"
"According to Arnav's horoscope, his life is already ended. Every second he lives after he is saved from the poisonous arrow is the gift that God gives him. I don't know what to say more than that..."
"Can't we predict anything about his life?"
"We have only one way to predict his future"
"What's that, Guruji?"
"He wants to marry the girl, right?"
"Yes, he is so firm in his decision"
"Then, we can predict through lines in her palm"
"Are you fine with Arnav's decision to marry a foreigner?"
"Who are we to be fine with his decision? He is still alive. You should think only about it, not more than that. Feel happy about his extended life. if he wants to marry the girl, let him marry her. She not just saved his life, she saved your kingdom, she saved the peaceful lives of your kingdom's people. Who knows, she may have the power of saving her husband too"
King Chaitanya felt relieved.
"What are you thinking? Say yes to the marriage. Our son is alive. Is not it enough for us?" Medha said.
Chaitanya nodded yes.
That was when Arnav entered with Khushi. His face brightened, seeing Shivguru. He touched his feet.
"LONG LIVE" he blessed.
Arnav looked at Khushi and said,
"He is our Guruji"
Khushi also touched his feet and said,
"Namaste, Guruji"
Shivguru was satisfied with her polite approach.
"Be happy" he blessed her.
Shivguru looked at Chaitanya contently.
"Khushi, our Guru predicts anyone's future perfectly. Do you want to know yours?" Medha asked.
Khushi got stuck. She so wanted to know her future but she hesitated to do that in front of the king and queen. But, Arnav didn't...
"Show your palm to him, Khushi," he said.
She looked at him gulping.
"Come on..."
Khushi raised her hands slowly and extended them to Shivguru.
"Only left hand," he said.
Khushi put the right hand down. Shivguru wondered, seeing the lines in her palm.
"There are many chances for you to settle down somewhere other than your native but, ONLY if you wish. You are here now... it didn't happen without a reason. You have an indirect connection with Prince Aparajith. That's why you saved his life" He stopped not telling anything more.
Khushi looked at Arnav who was smiling at her.
"What about her wedding, Guruji?" Arnav asked.
"The time for her wedding is nearing. Her wedding life will be so ideal. She will be the backbone of her husband and his family. Her husband will celebrate her like anything"
Khushi didn't look at Arnav who was looking at her joyfully.
"I would like to marry Khushi, guruji, what say?" Arnav asked making Khushi shocked. She looked at him widening her eyes and then at the king and Queen from the corner of her eyes.
"Good choice" Shivguru smiled which surprised Arnav and shocked Khushi more.
"Shall I marry Khushi?" Arnav asked.
"Of course..."
"But, I don't belong to this kingdom," Khushi said hurriedly.
"It doesn't matter... If Prince Aparajith marries you, you will become a citizen of this kingdom"
"I don't know about its culture and customs"
"When Aparajith introduced me to you, you touched my feet to get my blessings. What else do we want you to know? You will learn everything... I'm sure about it"
Khushi was like, what the hell...!
To be continued...
