Part 55 Will ASR fail?
Khushi was looking at Arnav bewildered. She didn't know why he lied. She saw him coming with NK in the same cab. Then why did he talk as if he didn't see NK the whole day?
"Khushiiii... Are you listening to me?" Arnav asked as he didn't get a reply from her.
"Haan?"
"What are you thinking?"
"Nothing... Have you completed the work for what you went to the office?" she asked.
"Yeah... It was so successful" Arnav smiled.
"Oh..."
Arnav saw baby Anu trying to come to him. Taking her from Khushi, he lifted her above his head making her giggle. She clutched his hair shrieking cheerfully, pressing her feet on his cheat. She pulled his mobile from his pocket. Arnav snatched it from her hand and kept it in his pant pocket. Anu bent down to get it from him. As it didn't happen, she bit his cheek.
"What the..." Arnav hissed.
"Va dha... Dha maa..." She asked for his mobile.
"No beta... No mobile..."
Anu whined. In this, Khushi was observing Arnav thinking about the lie he uttered. She was happy seeing him with NK as she was worried about their difference. She was the connector to both of them. She badly wanted them to become friends. Only because of Anu, it became possible. She was happy about it.
That was when NK came there. Khushi became alert. Arnav smiled at NK.
"I'm looking for you since the morning," NK said to Arnav.
Khushi could not believe NK also maintaining Arnav's lie. She was sure that these two were hiding something from her. What was it that they didn't want her to know? What was that about? She was observing them keenly.
"I too want to talk to you," Arnav said.
"Tell me"
"Talk to Anu and get a yes from her," Arnav said.
"She won't say yes to me. Only you can get it from her. Don't you know how adamant your sister is?"
"But, it's about your marriage..."
"You try first. I will talk to her only if you FAIL" NK said.
The word FAIL touched Arnav's big fat ego. He shrank his brows. Was not it a challenge for Arnav Singh Raizada? He nodded ok with a firm expression. He was fixed. Getting a YES from Anu for marriage would be HIM. There should not be any chance for him to FAIL.
Maybe, NK should have intentionally told that, knowing Arnav's nature. It was kind of provoke... to get what he wanted.
Even Khushi understood that. What made her surprised was Arnav's reaction toward the issue. Arnav walked to Anu's room. NK smirked at Khushi and gestured for her to go with him. Khushi followed Arnav.
Arnav came to Anu's room and kept baby Anu on the bed. Anu stood up from the bed, who was resting her head on the headboard of the bed.
"Anu, I would like to know something"
Before Anu asked him anything,
"Va dha... Auuuu" baby Anu said as usual.
"Ok, you are Anu..." Arnav said.
"What do you want to know, bhai...?" Anu asked.
"Do you trust me?"
"More than anyone in this world," she said without thinking.
"Will you do whatever I ask for?"
"Anything... But why do you ask me this all of a sudden?"
"I have decided something about your future"
Anu swallowed hard understanding what decision he was talking about.
"I hope you trust my decision"
Anu was gazing at him as if she knew what was going to come.
"Will you?"
Anu closed her eyes and nodded yes.
"Marry NK... You will be happy with him"
"What about him bhai? Do you think he will be happy with me?" she questioned.
"He will... I know you have experienced the worst in your life. It may affect your future in any way. You need time to forget everything. Trust me, NK will help you to forget all the bitter moments of your life. Just your presence will make him happy. He needs you. He asked me for your hand. I don't want to disappoint him. I'm sure you can't get such an understanding husband and lovable mother-in-law. Manorama aunty will look after you like her own daughter" Arnav said.
Anu was surprised. She had never seen Arnav supporting anyone like that. It seemed he was so much impressed with NK and his mother. She looked at Khushi who waiting to know Anu's decision.
The way Arnav took NK's side was something khushi least expected. She couldn't say Arnav imposed his decision on Anu. At the same time, she could not say he didn't.
"Tell me, Anu, shall I take the proposal forward?"
Taking a deep breath, Anu said,
"Your wish, bhai. I know you will make a decision that makes me not only happy but also my life protected" she smiled.
"I hope you are not upset with me for imposing my decision on you," he said regretting.
"No bhai... I can understand, if you are strong in your decision, it must be worth it"
Arnav touched her head with a satisfactory smile.
"Shall I fix your marriage after your surgery?" he asked.
Anu nodded ok.
"That's good"
Arnav walked out. Khushi hugged Anu happily.
"I'm very very happy about your decision Anu" she kissed her cheek.
"You also wanted it, right?"
"Honestly, yes... I saw Nanne's struggle in front of my eyes, Anu. He really loves you deeply"
Anu nodded her head slightly.
"Arnavji is right... You will be happy with NK and, he will also be damn happy with you. You guys deserve a better life. You will get it from one another"
Anu smiled mildly.

Arnav came out of the room and found NK sitting in the living room.
"After Anu's surgery, we can fix the marriage," Arnav said.
"Did she agree?" Manorama asked excitedly.
"Yeah... She agreed..."
"You made her agree... Right?" NK asked.
Arnav shrugged his shoulders off. In no time, NK hugged Arnav.
"Thank you so much Arnav" NK said emotionally.
Arnav got stuck for a while and smiled.
"I'm the one who should thank you, NK. Thank you for everything..." Arnav said, tapping his back.
Manorama rushed to Anu's room and hugged her.
"Thank you for accepting us, beta. You have regenerated my son's lifeless life. I don't know what would have happened to him if you had not accepted him. He would have collapsed for sure"
Anu was awkward. She didn't know how to react to it as she didn't expect this kind of reaction from her would-be mother-in-law. Manorama kissed her forehead tenderly, making her more embarrassed. Khushi smiled at them pleasantly.
That was when Arnav jerked hearing,
"Where is my daughter, Khushi?"
He looked at the entrance and saw Shashi Gupta standing with a few men wrathfully.
Arnav frowned at him.
"Where is my daughter? I heard you threw her out of your house... What did you do to her? What happened to her?" he shouted.
