BULLET

"Bullet," Claudine started, "I'm looking for your request. About the incident in Zeijan Sandejas' household?"

I stopped, looked around the office and when no one was in here, naglakad ako patungo sa office chair ni Zion, sumalampak ng upo. No matter how many time Jackie scolded me not to sit on the boss' chair, I don't care.

I'll seat here like a queen.

"What about it?" I asked.

"No such incident was recorded in the database," she answered.

I closed my eyes. Napasandal ako at humugot ng malalim na hininga.

Wasn't a shocking revelation anymore. I was half-expecting that would be confidential and wasn't shared in public but...why do I have a feeling I have to dig? Why do I feel there's something more about the incident?

"But I have pulled out some medical records years ago. Turns out Sibyl was hospitalized."

Kumunot ang noo ko, "ballet accident?"

"No, that was the latest, three years ago. I mean, before that. It was recorded here she was in the hospital. Though, the reason was not disclosed." She continued, "and a few months after that said hospitalization, naaksidente si Zion."

My breath hitched.

"What happened?"

"Head trauma." She answered, "not stated how it happened but he got into a surgery for it. Hindi rin nakalagay anong final diagnosis ng doktor. I'll try to look more into it."

"Thanks," I mumbled.

"No worries, Bullet," aniya. "We're very sorry, too, about last time. We...we didn't know about it, too. When we did, you were already having fun so...we thought..."

"I'm married to him," I answered.

I can hear the way her breathing stopped.

"What?!" Her voice thundered, "what? Why?"

Lumabi ako, "for the mission, Clau." I corrected. "Wyatt asked me to attack them internally and since I can't get info just being a secretary, I became the wife."

"Are you nuts?!" Her voice shook, "oh, God, Bullet! Are you insane? Do you know how dangerous that man could be?! What if he found out your mission?!"

He already did. I thought.

"He won't," I lied and checked my nails. "I'm a good actress."

I'm sure you are, Bullet.

My inner goddess was laughing in mockery.

"A fake one?" She relented, "you can get away with that. I can make a way! That man was dangerous, Bullet. I'm sure. Boss won't give you the mission if he wasn't lethal. And what if he knew Reaper? Then found out about you? You're Scythe! He'll kill you!"

I actually married The Reaper, Clau.

"He can't kill me if I killed him first," I pursed my lips and reached for the pretty fountain pen on the table.

I played on it and stared at the sharp tip. What would it look like if I stab someone with this? Slit their throat with it?

She sighed, "alright, if that's your decision. You do it your way. Just let us know if you need something. Jayden, Rick and I would help..."

Her soft voice made me think of the years we've been together, stealing, conning assholes for money or jewelries and properties.

It's been what? A year and half? While training when I came here from Italy, that's when I met them. I wasn't much of a talker. I just observed until Clau started talking to me and somehow, I became comfortable with them.

Though, because Clau is a hacker, I wasn't really with her during the training. I'm with Jayden while they're grooming us to become killer machines. Torture us if we messed up. Starvation is one of their ways to discipline us, too if not lashes.

There's this one time when I was new to the training where I was so hungry and exhausted.

Damn it, when I thought I was winning, he backhanded me. Sending me flying against the wall.

That's what Wyatt saw. He was even mad at that man for hitting me on the face for whatever reasons. He said, he invested a lot blah...blah...blah...but still, he punished me with starvation.

That night, 'di ko na talaga kaya. I was having a fever. My face was swollen and I sneaked out to take just a pack of biscuit or two when I was caught by that man I'm fighting with just a few hours ago.

They put me in a dog cage that night. In the cold. While it's raining.

I was never that humiliated.

A few months after, I was skilled enough that men twice my size started to became frightened of me.

One night, I visited that man who put me on the cage and made fun of me with his friends, they were even talking about touching me—only if they weren't too afraid of Wyatt. I slit his throat with his eyes wide open in his own house.

I disguised it as robbery of course, I took some money, jewelries, gold then treated Claudine and Jayden for dinner.

It was delicious. Best meal I had in my fucked up life so far.

Nalaman ni Wyatt. I was expecting he'd punish me for it and I'd willingly accept it with a wicked smirk on my face but Wyatt saw it as an opportunity. Nobody knew me in the underground until he introduced me.

That's when I started to instill fear against his enemies. He used it in his advantage. I was already important to him before but my value doubled because of my reputation.

Scythe was born. Death.

"One thing, Clau," I started.

"Hmm?"

I hesitated but this was bugging me for some time now. I couldn't even threaten Zion to kill him.

I don't know why.

There's nothing wrong with it but I just hated the idea of another woman having him as her husband when he's mine.

Mine to kill... yes, that's the reason.

"Can you look if Zion was already married before?" I asked.

She was silent for a brief time, "what? I thought you married him?"

"Just look," I said, "check if he's married before me? When he's younger? Let's say five to six years ago?"

"A minute," I heard her typing on her laptop and a minute or two had passed before she answered. "No, Bullet."

Napabuga ako ng hangin, "what do you mean no?"

"Your wedding to him was only registered two days ago and before that, no. He's not married before."

My chest heaved.

If he wasn't then...who was the girl in the photo? Black hair. Black eyes. She was unfamiliar. I didn't know her but there's this nagging feeling inside me that's saying I knew her from somewhere.

I just can't say how or when? Or who was she.

"I see," I nodded and twirled the pen on my finger. "Can you run me a facial recognition scanner?"

"Why? Was he married before?"

My jaw clenched.

"Nevermind—"

"Okay! Okay," she breathed. "Of course, I'll help you. Send me the picture."

"The girl," I said. "Look for her identity."

"Oh, a wedding," she gasped. "But I don't think this was registered, Bullet. At least by the law. Bukod sa kasal niya sa 'yo, walang naka-record na iba. Why do you wanna know?"

Tumikhim ako at humigpit ang hawak sa fountain pen.

"I was here to look for weakness, right?" I drawled, eyeing the piles of paper in front of me, wanting so bad to stab something.

"Uh-hmm," she hummed as I hear her typing. "And?"

Seriously?

"I married him for it!" I huffed a breath, completely annoyed now. "Do you think I actually married him because I like him? This was all for the mission! And to look for any weaknesses."

"Hmm..." she hummed again, a small giggle leaving her voice.

"Are you bitching me, Claudine?" I spat.

Tumawa siya sa kabilang linya, "chill, Bullet! I was just teasing you! It's just cute. No one would suspect you married him for the mission kasi bagay na bagay kayo!"

My breath hitched.

"T-talaga?" Maliit kong tanong.

When her laughter thundered, I cursed under my breath. My cheek flushed as I spit curses for her.

"Fuck you. If I see you? I'll fucking stab you in the eye!" I hissed.

I sighed.

"You are a bitch, Claudine," I shook my head.

Her chuckles made my lips protrude.

"I'm sorry, Bullet, I miss you."

Natahimik na rin ako.

I kinda missed her, too.

I thought of the years I was working with Claudine, Jayden and Rick until we became a team. Not much for the mission but for outside activities. Conning assholes and parties.

Somehow, maybe, I considered them as friends—if my definition of friends was that but after the betrayal that night in the club? I'm not sure if I could give the trust back easily.

In this world, you can trust no one but yourself. You only got your back.

"Did you scan it?" Pag-iiba ko sa topic.

She sighed but didn't comment further and I waited impatiently.

"No records," she answered.

"What?" Nagsalubong ang kilay ko, "paanong wala?"

"Wait," she typed again, "let me check again, baka nagkamali lang."

I tapped my fingers on the table, waiting. I eyed the pile of paper sharper now, pissed and confused when she spoke again.

"Wala talaga," she answered. "No records and even pictures aside from this."

"Impossible," I gritted my teeth, "no name? Even anything from cameras? School records?"

She sighed, "nothing, which is really really weird. It was as if she was wiped off the system—or never existed at all."

Then why is Zion with her? Should I ask him?

"I'll check further into this," aniya. "But it will take time."

"Do it," humigpit ang hawak ko sa pen. "If she wasn't in the database, I'm sure she's something important. I can use it against him."

Like Twinkle. This woman wasn't existing at all.

Who was she?

Tumitig ako sa babae sa picture. Her eyes are soulful. Happy and carefree. Beautiful.

She was smiling the sweetest. I can see we have the same height and body type.

And on her back was my very handsome husband, then, her husband and fury build inside me.

He was smiling, too. Happy. I don't know if he smiled the same way during our wedding. Maybe he did but I bet it's fake.

Just for a show because he's using me for his own benefit.

A hole burned inside my chest, shattering me from the insides. My stomach churned as confusion filled my messed up head. My hand rose as I stabbed the pile of paper in front of me with the fountain pen.

He's married to someone else before me. He likes someone else.

He said...I was his first love. He's lying?

And hell, Bullet, did you even believed that?! How could you when wedding was just a joke for him?

He was just using you, Scythe.

I stabbed it again and again until the papers are torn. I continuously did that until the tip broke, the ink spilling on the pages and my bare palm.

Why was my chest burning? Am I starting to care for him?

Why do I care if he fucked or...marry someone else! I don't care! I shouldn't!

I was lost in my head I can't think of anything. My head was blank.

"Tish..."

This isn't good. I should kill him!

I stabbed the papers harder.

"Bevurleigh!" I stiffened.

My head shot up and met Zion's eyes. His eyes are wide and confused.

"Fuck," I cursed hardly when I realized what I was doing.

Dali-dali kong nabitawan ang hawak. Because of it, the ink spilled more on the papers and table.

"Sorry!" I hissed under my breath and panicked.

I heard his footsteps.

"Zy—anong nangyari?" I heard Jackie's voice from the door. "What did you do, Bullet?"

"Sorry..." I mumbled again and gathered the papers in my arms. I looked for the tissue paper and started cleaning the spilled ink.

"Tish," a rough, large palm covered mine.

"Sorry, I'll print you clean copies again," malamig na sabi ko at kinuha ang kamay sa kanya pero nahuli niya lang ulit iyon.

"Bevurleigh," he called seriously.

What the fuck are you doing, Bullet?! Are you insane?!

I heard Jackie's exasperated sigh and gasps, "Don't tell me...look what happened! Ilang beses na ba kitang sinabihan na h'wag kang mauupo rito! Look—"

"Jackie," I heard the warning in Zy's voice.

"What?" She gasped, "I was just reminding her, Zy! Look what happened? Paano kung importanteng dokumento ang nasira? What did she do, huh? She was stabbing the papers like a freak—"

"Careful. That's my wife you are speaking to, Miss Vicente," his dark voice thundered.

Even I shivered with his voice. My breath hitched.

"Temporary fake wife," Jackie retorted, "you were only married to her for the mission! Don't tell me you'll defend her again? You barely know this woman to trust her!"

"Leave," he said calmly.

She heaved an angry sigh.

"We knew each other for years now! You listen to me! Why would I—"

"I said leave, Miss Vicente!" He hissed sharply.

"I won't!" She fought.

His jaw clenched, I saw how his scary eyes narrowed at her for a silent command.

"Do I have to repeat myself?" He asked in a firm, tight voice I had goosebumps.

Jackie's breathing labored. She stared at Zion sporting his cold and serious stares before glancing at me. She scoffed, mumbled something under her breath before turning her back from us and walked away.

She slammed the door closed. I came back to my reverie and proceeded into cleaning his table again.

"Tish,"

"Sorry," I said under my breath. "I was just...nevermind, I'll print another copy. Don't worry, these aren't rush. You can read and sign these until next week."

"It's okay," kinuha niya ang dokumento sa braso ko. I pulled it away.

"I'll shred this," I insisted, not giving him the chance to take it. "And..." I looked at his table helplessly, the damn spilled ink are fucking messy.

"Send me damages," I mumbled, "or take it out my paychecks."

He sighed, "no."

I whipped my head at him, frowning.

"What?" I spat.

"No," he repeated, his midnight blue eyes blazing.

Naglaban kami ng tingin. Him with his tall and athletic physique. Dangerous and lethal. His hair was in a sexy man bun, his features sharp and manly as the city lights peeking from the glass walls are illuminating on it.

His lips thinned when I didn't back down. He tilted his head and placed his palm on the pocket of his slacks while the other one pulled his necktie loose.

My eyes followed the way it loosened, showing me a bit of his sexy neck.

"What's the matter, baby?" He asked in a low, gentle voice without taking his eyes off me.

I shook my head, "nothing," muli kong pinilit na punasan ang table pero mas kumalat lang.

Fuck, ang tanga-tanga!

This is why I hate it when I feel something! Hated the way my numb heart started feeling things, doing things other than fucking blood circulation!

"Stop it," he commanded. I didn't listen and scrubbed the table more.

I have to clean this! Then, I'll disappear—

"Stop, Bevurleigh," he called again, sharper than the first one. "I said stop, Leticia!"

I stiffened, my back straightened.

"Look at me," he ordered seriously, his voice now closer to my ear.

I didn't falter. I remained glaring at the messy table.

I heard his seat moving.

"Come 'er," he called.

"It's late," I mumbled. "I gotta go."

I didn't look his way and took a step away to escape when I heard him call me.

"Come. Here." He commanded.

"It's late, I'm fucking exhausted. I have no time with this, babayaran ko na lang—"

"I'm not requesting, wife. I said, come here."

Doon na ako sumulyap sa kanya. He looked so fucking dominant and sexy looming over his swivel chair, his coat open with his messy, loose necktie. His thighs are spread apart.

"Sit," he commanded and tapped his lap, as if an underworld king waiting for his queen to sit on him.

Naglaban kami ng tingin. He didn't even blink as he shot his brow up, his jaw clenching.

"Do I have to repeat myself, hun?"

"Fuck you," pissed, I marched towards him.

"What?!" I hissed as I stood in front of him, lifting my palm so the ink wouldn't touch and stain my clothes.

He didn't answer but he was obviously checking me out. From my face down my chest and hips as he rested his palm against it. He caressed it softly.

I shrugged him off, "what do you need, boss?"

I hissed and didn't try avoiding his touches this time.

"What's the matter, hmm?" Inangat niya ang tingin pabalik sa mukha ko, "why are you murdering the documents?"

"Papalitan ko na nga lang—" a loud yelp left my lips when he pulled me by my waist, making me straddle him on the seat.

My eyes widened as I glare at him.

"What the fuck, Zion?"

He didn't seem bothered. He checked my legs and my hitching skirt for a moment before shaking his head.

"Tsk," he tsk-ed disapprovingly. "We can't talk talk if you're like this."

"What?" His eye followed the slit of my hitching skirt.

"Sexy distraction," tinapik niya ang hita ko bago humawak sa baywang ko at gumalaw patayo.

I yelped again with his sudden action, my arms flew embracing his nape as he hitched my butt up, my legs encircling on his waist.

"'Yong ink!"

He didn't answer and carried me until we're on the couch and he's sitting with me straddling him.

Silence filled the room as our eyes met. My hands are suspended in the air while doing staring—no, glaring contest with my husband.

His lip twitched as it turned into a sexy smile when my lips protruded.

I snorted, "wala akong oras makipag-asaran sa 'yo, Sandejas, ah?"

He chuckled sexily, his fingers tracing my jaw as he put my blonde strands behind my ear.

"Breathe in," he started. I watched him with confusion. "Breathe out..."

"What are you doing?"

"Do it with me," he urged, tipping my chin. "Come on, breathe in..." when he inhaled, I found myself doing it, too. "Breathe out..." we exhaled.

"Again," we repeated the same process. "Good girl."

We did it a few times and surprisingly, I felt how much tension made it out of my system. Bumagal at naging kalmado ang paghinga ko.

I felt his fingers straightening the frown visible on my forehead.

"Tell me," isinandal niya ulo sa coach, "what's bothering my beautiful wife?"

I shut my mouth shut and chewed my lips.

"Mrs. Sandejas," he called exasperatedly, frustrated. "Do we have a problem, honey?"

"What made you think we have a problem, Mr. Sandejas?" I emphasized the we.

Tumaas ang kilay niya at mas pinirmi ako sa hita niya.

"You're my wife. Your problem's mine, too." He shrugged. "So, what's our problem? Sinong aabangan natin sa labas, misis?" Hamon niya.

I was startled and amazed. My heart made a quick jump of happiness and shock, touched by his words. I almost melted but I'm stronger than that.

Feelings are weakness.

"You won't say?" His rough hands caressed my skin again, "manghuhula na ba ako, misis? Sino ba, si Jackie? Well, she's always been a pain in the ass but we're not together or anything. She's a member of DEA kahit si Lolo pa ang nandito, I befriended her when I began training here. She had an attitude, I can say but she's a good employee."

"Wasn't she an HR?"

"Yes, in DEA and in the underground, too. She foresees members. Checking their backgrounds or if they are to be trusted. I like her."

"As a friend!" He explained and pulled me back when I attempted to get away, "listen, honey."

"You don't have to explain," matabang kong sabi. "I don't care—"

"Like how I like my employees, Bevurleigh," he explained. "I like Will, I like Manong Jeremy, I like the parking valet—"

"I am not asking," I answered blankly. "I don't care. You go like whoever you want, I don't give a fuck—"

"Well, I do!" Hinila niya ako palapit sa kanya. I cursed when I'm sitting directly on his crotch now. "I care what you think! I care and thought of the things running inside your head when you're quiet! I care who you are jealous to so I could avoid them!"

My heard hammered but I fought back.

"Then, sorry to say, Mr. Sandejas but news flash! I'm not jealous—"

"Then, be jealous!" He exclaimed, "I don't care, Tish! Feel everything! Just...show me something! I'd rather you be jealous than seeing you avoiding me! Again! Be mad! I want you jealous!"

Fuck... my heart thumped more. Painfully. Expectantly now.

He wants me jealous? Why?

Confusion must have shown on my face and he caught it.

His voice softened when he realized what he just spilled. He shook his head afterwards.

"Please...wife, just be jealous." He whispered and touched my waist.

"W-what are you saying?" I tensed up, a bite on my voice. "Why d-do you want me jealous? I don't care what you do. This marriage, our marriage was just for a show, right? To take Wyatt down—"

"I hate it when you don't care," he huffed. "And I hated that I care if you don't."

He rested his forehead on my shoulder. I was just stunned. My heart thumping loudly against my chest, wanting some sort of explanation why I feel that way—why it makes me happy to hear the begging on his voice.

"What are you saying, boss," I whispered, fisting my palm.

"It's okay to be possessive of me, too," mas lumalim ang paghinga niya sa bulong. "I want...I...want you to look at me like I'm yours."

My mind wandered at the picture again.

"How could I," bulong ko. "You weren't mine—"

"You do," the tip of his nose brushed my neck again. "You own me, Bullet."

I have so many questions but didn't have the guts to ask.

"Tell me," his breath tickled my skin. "I don't like it when you avoid me, Tish. When I'm beginning to think we're fine, you'll stray away. I'm tired thinking what I did wrong this time, honey."

"I hate you, Reaper," I whispered.

"The feeling is mutual, Scythe," he whispered back and the walls crumbling fell more, destroying the remaining restraint I'm protecting myself with.

"I hated the way I want you more than I hate you," he hummed, "hate the way I want you selfishly for myself. Fuck DEA. Fuck Wyatt. Fuck them all."

Oh, good Lord.

"I wanna kill you," I answered softly.

He chuckled on my ear, "I wanna kill you, too, baby. So bad I just wanted to shoot myself in the head to stop wanting you."

I touched the small revolver tucked on his slacks and pulled it.

I pointed it on his chin.

Our eyes met. I showed him a wicked grin.

"Surprise, husband," I hummed. "Hiding a gun in jeans are quite...predictable now."

Instead, he smirked and before I could even ask why, I felt a cold metal at the crook of my throat.

I stiffened. I didn't even feel him pulled it out!

"Surprise, wife," he gave me a taunting smile, too. "But hiding a knife on your leg is quite...predictable, too."

I groaned, annoyed.

"Fuck you, Reaper. For once, why can't you just let me win?!" I whined.

"Alright, alright," I felt the tip of the knife vanished as he chuckled. "There, I'm at your mercy, Scythe."

I pushed the gun more on his chin, tilting his head so he'd take me seriously.

"Beg," I commanded.

He gave me a malicious look, "do I really have to?"

"Oh, come on, Zion. Just..." I pushed the gun on his chin more, he chuckled.

"Okay." "L-let me go, please, I'm begging you. I'll tell you everything..."

He's begging but why does he sound so erotic?

I tightened my expression.

His breath shook, "please...let me go. I'll do everything." He said, his eyes blazing in blues.

If those were waves, I'm sure I've drowned already.

His hand found my wrists, "please," he breathed. "I'm begging you."

He was the one asking for my mercy but why does it feel like I'm at his mercy?

"Pag-usapan natin, please," he added sultrily.

Why does it feel like I'm the one willing to beg on my knees for him? Why?

Just as I was about to beg on my knees instead, he smirked and it was too late because he's pointing the gun back at me with my own fucking hand!

"Easily distracted, wife," he tsk-ed and parted my lips with his gun. "That's not very nice."

My jaw tightened. His eyes twinkled with mirth and amusement as he pulled the gun away from my mouth and placed it back on his chin.

He even rested his fucking chin on it while smiling at me.

Weirdo.

"Well, well, well...what can you say about my performance, baby?" He wiggled his brows, "my Mom's a great actress, makikita mo talaga kanino nagmana."

"Uh-hmm," I hummed boredly, "got it bad from your Dad, I see."

His mouth parted dramatically. I winked and threw the gun on the couch before kneeling on his crotch and reached for his hair.

I pulled his ponytail and messed with his hair with my fingers. Sexy.

"Akin na 'to," nilagay ko ang ipit niya sa wrist ko kasama ang ipit ni Twinkle.

"How's the meeting?" I asked while massaging his scalp with my fingers. His hair was healthy, I'm envious.

Nanahimik siya at ipinikit ang mata, he relaxed when I continued massaging his scalp.

"You should've come," aniya.

"They're still not fine with me, Zy," I answered. "How do you expect your men to welcome me on your team when just last time, I fucked their last buy bust operation?"

"They should trust me," laban niya. "I am doing what's best for the team. You could help us infiltrate Wyatt's illegal business and drug den."

"Can't blame them. I'm the asshole's weapon against DEA, Zy. Against you." I answered. "If I were you, I won't trust me either."

He opened his eyes and gave me a pointed look. I just shrugged.

"Don't give me that look, Sandejas. You made me sign an agreement, too. About this mission. Married me, too, to make this realistic. Scythe got Zion Sandejas for the mission, what a dedicated killer."

"Tish..."

"H'wag na tayong maglokohan, Zy," I pursed my lips and brushed his hair with my fingers. "You don't fully trust me, either. Yes, you want me. Wasn't shocking anymore with this beauty?"

He frowned, "now, you're just like me,"

I pursed my lips, "so, you're aware you're conceited?"

"If you got this face, baby, would you not notice it?"

When he snickered and rolled his eyes, I pinched his nose.

"Anyway, give them time. I only know Will and Jackie from your team. Will is okay, he's formal. Jackie's...a bitch."

Tumaas ang sulok ng labi niya. I rolled my eyes.

"Now, tell me," my heart raced with that. "Why are you stabbing the documents?"

Naalala ko bigla ang palad ko.

The fucking ink!

Fuck me.

I'm sure he had more on his hair.

Hindi ako umimik.

"Tish," he soothed. "Talk to me,"

I bit my inner cheek before asking, "why did you marry me?"

He gave me a confused look, "for the mission—"

"Don't tell me you're marrying anyone just for a fucking mission, Sandejas," I gritted my teeth.

"What?" Umiling siya, "of course not, Tish. Marriage is serious. You can't marry someone for no reason at all."

"And you married me for the mission—"

"Because I like you, goddamn it," he moistened his lower lip, intensely watching me.

If I was standing, I'm sure my knees are wobbling now.

"I fucking like you, Bella—whatever your name was. Since that night in the bar? I liked you—I want you. Do you think I'd look for you if I don't feel anything but lust? This mission was my fucking excuse to have a reason to marry you!" He shook his head, "gwapo lang ako pero 'di ako mababaw."

I stopped my fist from punching him on the gut. I was touched, okay pero isinisingit niya talaga ang kagwapuhan niya kapag may pagkakataon.

"Then...you were only married to me?" Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay.

"Yes," he looks more confused now, "where was this coming, hun? Did I marry another you?"

Ako naman ang confused, "huh?"

"You are asking if I'm only married to you. That's why I am asking, if you magically multiplied and I married another version of you?"

I was fucking flabbergasted.

I couldn't find my words I just glared at him until my eyes are hurting. He didn't even smile, telling me he's fucking serious.

"Seryoso, Zion,"

"I am serious, Bevurleigh Leticia," he retorted. "I am not—or in any case couldn't remember marrying someone else but you."

Now, I'm so lost.

Kinagat ko ang labi ko.

But how about the picture? Was it nothing?

"Don't tell me we got married twice and I wasn't invited?" Pang-aalaska niya.

He cursed and pulled it away from his face.

"Brutal, baby,"

"Fuck you," muli kong tinulak sa mukha niya ang unan na walang hirap niyang hinila paalis, naghahabol na ng hininga.

"Puro salita, kulang sa gawa," reklamo niya habang nag-aagaw-buhay pa.

"Ano?"

"You said fuck you but you won't push further. You're kissing me but pulling away after. You let me finger your pussy and taste that cunt and leave me panting after you."

"I'm damn ready, Tish," ungot niya sa 'kin. "I am sleeping with one eye open at night, my doors are not even locked but you didn't even try to slit my throat or something. Paasa ka."

"Y-you..." my lips trembled, "you fucking...I'm not! Ikaw nga 'yon! My doors are unlocked and my eyes—two eyes are open at night, waiting for you to get inside and shoot me but you didn't! Ikaw ang paasa!"

Natahimik ako at suminghap, nahiya sa lumabas sa bibig.

"But I don't care, it's not that I'm expecting you! I'm contented with Franklin," I boasted. Mas nagsalubong ang kilay niya.

"Who was that fucker, Bevurleigh?"

I smirked, "you wouldn't know,"

"I won't? Perhaps it wasn't a person and you're just pissing me off."

"You won't,"

"Uh-huh?" He caught me by the arm and pushed me further on his crotch. "Feel me,"

My throat dried out as I felt him below me. He reached for my palm and placed it on his shirt beneath his coat, the black ink from the pen staining his clothes.

"Grind on me," he commanded. I tried resisting but his gaze burned on me like a silent command. I gripped my palms and moved my hips against him.

"Fuck, Tish," he whispered harshly and guided my hips to move, "that's how hard my cock is for you. That's how much I want you. Feel it?"

Groaning, I nodded. I moved my head to kiss him but he refused, parting my legs more so I could feel him hard against me.

"Starting today, you tell me if you're jealous. Tell me everything, your worries, your fears. If you'll doubt I married another you, tell me. We'll find that clone together because I...I know I will not marry if it wasn't you."

Will I believe it? Was it really nothing? Or that's a part of his forgotten memory?

"Everything, wife. Do you understand?" He cleared.

I nodded desperately, wanting so bad to kiss him but he looked away, gripping my jaw with his one hand.

"You will tell me what bothers you. Be mad at me. Show me your fucking attitude, I don't care. You want me to beg? I'll be on my knees. I'll worship you. Just...don't ignore me, Mrs. Sandejas." Hindi inilalayo ang tinging paalala niya. "Do we have an understanding?"

"Z-Zy," hinuli ko ang labi niya.

He slapped my leg hard I moaned, "focus, wife. Do we have an understanding?"

"Yes..." I breathed, "yes, I understand."

Once he let go of his grip on my jaw, we were kissing, touching each other with clothes on when the doors burst open.

"Hewlo, Pangit! Hewlo, 'Te Bullet!" We both stiffened with the voice. "Agent Twinkle Stawr suko na kayo!"

Sabay kaming napatingin sa may pinto, ako, nakaupo sa hita ni Zion, ang palad ay nasa lalamunan niya habang siya ay nakayapos sa baywang ko, ang isang palad ay nasa lalamunan ko rin.

"Why..." Twinkle gasped loudly, her eyes wide in horror and confusion. "Nooo! Ililigtwas kita mula sa kalaban na pangit, 'Te Bullet!"

And before I could utter a word, she was already screaming.

"Agent Twinkle Stawr to the rescue! Wieee!" Then she jumped on the couch and smack her toy gun at Zion's face.

Oh, fuck. My poor husband.

You couldn't easily hurt and bruise The Reaper in a fight but Twinkle could.

I smirked. He shot a glare at me.

Sir Zeijan brought Twinkle to us tonight after staying with her parents for three days. We weren't expecting it but they had an urgent matter to attend kaya nabitin din kaming dalawa. But it's nothing, really.

I already missed Twinkle, already.

"Twinkle Twinkol Little Twarrrrr!" She sang loudly. "How I wonder what you areee!"

She was wearing a pink jumpsuit and shoes, may pink na maliit na bag pa sa likuran kung nasaan ang mga weapons daw niya sa mission.

Namely, her glittery guns and cooking kitchen knife toys.

"Up above the world so highhh! Like a pangit in the sky!" Sabay turo niya kay Zion.

I chuckled. Twinkle giggled loudly.

"Tuwang-tuwa?" Zion asked with amusement.

"Happy!" Twinkle chirped, "sakit, Kuya?"

"Hulaan mo, princess," ani ng pilosopo na kung 'di ko pa aambahin ng sapak ay 'di magseseryoso. "Yes, it hurts."

"Aww..." Twinkle purred, "sowi, pangit!" She moved from me and my heart melted when Zy took her on his arms.

Twinkle kissed his cheek, "sowi..."

His eyes softened, "it's alright, just don't do it again, hmm? Paano kung makasakit ka ng iba?"

She nodded cutely, reached for the part she smacked with her gun and pouted cutely, her amber eyes glistening.

"Sorry po! Okay lang iyan! Pangit pa rin naman ikaw..."

When Zion's shoulders fell and Twinkle tiny laughers filled my ear, my chest felt full. Contented...and happy...

I am happy...

But I hope I didn't because it was short-lived. A week after silence from Wyatt's side, he called me for an urgent meeting in the middle of the fucking night.

It was three A.M.

Everyone was sleeping and Twinkle's staying more with us that I have to be very careful.

I don't want to disturb them for Wyatt's nonsense so, I rappelled my way down from the guest room. I commuted and prepared myself for my fully rehearsed speech if he summoned me.

I have to give him something vital—something I haven't told him before but not too much to sabotage Zion and DEA.

"I also found something," agap ko nang mabakas ko ang galit sa mga mata niya sa mga bagong impormasyon kong sinabi.

It was about their next operations—a rigged one, of course, but he wasn't interested he's about to call on his fucking men to try and kill me.

Before he could lose more men, I said it.

Intrigued filled his eyes, ibinaba niya ang cane at sumandal sa swivel.

"And what is it?" He cocked a brow, "make sure it was something new, Scythe. Or else..."

Or else, what? You'll try and kill me again?

You can try, though. It doesn't hurt.

But I didn't say anything. I remained looking at him blankly.

"What is it?"

"I found a possible weakness," I removed the folded photo from my pocket, extending it to him. "I saw it on his room tucked in a book."

He opened the folded photo and I saw how shock filled his eyes. Natigilan siya. I have never seen him this caught off guard. I wanted so bad to ask him 'bout it but didn't.

"I looked for facial recognition, for the possible identity of that woman..."

His lips tilted up.

"And...did you find something, Scythe?" Slowly, he smiled, his eyes filled with intrigued and amusement.

I tightened my jaw, "no."

I caught a glint of something devious on his expression. He rested his back on his swivel and crossed his legs, watching me.

"What made you think she was something important, Scythe?"

Nanuyo ang lalamunan ko.

"I have seen it in one of his college books. We ran facial recognition and she wasn't in any government or criminal databases. No proof she was real. It's either she wasn't registered—or someone made her disappear."

Tumaas ang kilay niya. He chuckled devilishly and nodded his head, staring at the picture and back to me.

"Work of art," he mumbled.

"Excuse me?"

"Did you ask your husband about this yet?" He asked instead, "I wasn't even informed you really did marry the asshole if it wasn't for my men reporting. Are you trying to hide it from me, child?"

"No, boss," I answered formally. "I don't think it was important when I'm only doing it for my mission."

His lips tugged for a smirk, nodding.

"And? Did he say anything about this...girl?"

I wanted so bad to take my knife out and stab his fucking eye. He was making fun of something. Me perhaps?

"No," I answered. "He had memory loss."

And now, he straightened up.

"He does?"

"Head injury," I said, sure this information won't harm Zion. "Slipped on the stairs accidentally." I lied, making stories.

"So, you're telling me..." he folded his palms with the photo, " that Zion Sandejas lost memories from before, no idea who this woman could be?"

I wasn't even sure if Zion knew the existence of this photo. Or her.

Umiling ako.

"That's interesting," he laughed and stared at the picture again, as if it was so fun and back to me, "this is interesting, Bullet. Good job."

"If I find who that girl was, we might be able to use her against him—maybe she even knew more information regarding DEA. Knowing she wasn't in the database, I'm sure somehow, she's important."

"Oh, I bet she was," he played with his cane and the picture on his palm. "I bet Zion would do everything to see her...that's if he even remembered her."

He was taunting.

My brows almost met. He glanced at me and hid a devious smile.

"Good job, Scythe. I'm sure she's important. So...so important." He stared at me with mirth. "Now, I want you to find this girl—his first bride it seems and kill her, in front of your husband. Wouldn't it be fun?"
