Kabanata 26 (Part Two)

.·:*¨ ¨*:·.

ZION

Bad ikaw, ah?!"

I was side eyeing Twinkle while we're in the elevator.

I frowned.

"Nginingiti-ngiti mo d'yan, bungi?" I asked.

Nilingon ako ng mabilisan ni Tish.

"Ano na naman 'yan, Sandejas? Kapag ito umiyak—"

"Huhuhu..." some brat started fake crying.

Umawang ang labi ko.

"See?!" Tish rolled her eyes and moved Twinkle's body, "are you okay, darling?"

"No po..." she forced herself to cry, even trying to remove some non-existing tears. "Iyak si Twinkle kasi si pangit sabi sa 'kin Bleh!" She stuck her tongue out.

Mas lalong nahulog ang panga ko.

"Ako? Kailan, ito gawa-gawa ng kwento. H'wag kang maniwala, Tish—"

"Ang tanda-tanda mo na, pumapatol ka pa sa bata?" She shook her head, "hindi ata asawa ang nakuha ko, pati anak."

Twinkle cackled silently. My brows shot up.

Lumapit ako sa kanila. I moved my face closer until my wife could hear me.

"Yeah, hun?" I whispered. "You have a point, though. Since I suck your tits—"

"Zion Schauffer!" She hissed loudly, her cheeks flushing.

I grinned.

She moved her face closer to whisper back, "may bata, oh! I swear, if I'm done here, I'll gut you alive!"

"Oh," I whispered back, "looking forward for the gutting."

We both stopped when we realized Twinkle was moving her face closer to try and eavesdrop.

I smirked when I caught her. Pinindot ko ang ilong niya.

"Weh, tsismosa..."

But she caught my finger and fucking bit me. I hissed and cursed, my wife panicked.

Naramdaman ko ang pagbaon ng maliit na ngipin niya sa balat ko and if you think I'm overreacting, I'm fucking not.

You know that feeling when kid's tiny teeth are buried on your skin like blades? Gano'n!

"Twila!" Tish called but Twinkle won't listen.

"Twila Klein," Tish called, "darling, let go. Masakit 'yan."

But she won't listen. I could very well see the satisfaction and evil naughtiness on her amber eyes while biting me.

We all stiffened.

Brigadier General Levi Delgado.

With my finger still caught up on my sister's sharp teeth, I lifted the other hand to salute.

"Salute!"

Tumaas ang kilay niya bago sumaludo.

Eerie silence filled the elevator as his gaze fell on my wife who was in fact, silent and looking bewildered upon seeing him. I noticed the confusion on his eyes before nodding casually and got inside with us.

"Your family, Colonel?" He then asked.

Gen.

"Salwute!" Twinkle's voice filled the room before she mimicked what I did.

Brig. Gen. Chuckled lowly and saluted back at her. She giggled and buried her face back on my wife's shoulder before rolling her eyes at me.

I snickered.

Tumili pa 'ko! Walang-hiya. Sirang-sira na ang image ko sa boss!

"Yes, Sir," I answered. "My wife and my sister..."

"Sister?" "You have another sister? I thought it was only Zire?"

"It was kept private, Sir," I answered. "For safety purposes."

His eyes fell on my sister, his face softened.

"Hi,"

"Hi, Sher!" Twinkle beamed, "gwapo ikaw po, ah? 'Yong Kuya ko po pangit!"

My face crumpled. He laughed loudly with my sister. My wife chuckled lowly.

"Right, kid?" He laughed, "see?! Hindi lang pala ako nag-iisa. Hindi nagsisinungaling ang bata, Sandejas."

I clutched my chest, "grabe kayo sa 'kin! Pati ba naman sa opisina inaapi ako? Saan na ako lulugar? At Sir, grabe? Akala ko BFF tayo—"

"BFF my ass, Sandejas," sumimangot siya, it suddenly reminded me of my wife's expression when she's annoyed. "Marami ka pang atraso sa 'kin, humanda ka sa field."

I smirked, "grabe naman, Sir! Para ka namang others! Umamin ka na, ako ang favorite mo rito!"

"Huh? Sino ka ba?" matabang niyang sagot.

Nasaktan naman ang heart, body and soul ko. Madrama ko siyang inilingan.

"How could you? How could you forget me? Ako lang naman ang pinakagwapo—"

"Pinakagwapo, I know. I know, whatever. Naririndi na ako." Sabay hawak niya sa tainga, "I guess I have to get my ears checked."

They laughed. Even my wife joined!

I asked, offended.

"Nah, he's right," baling niya sa boss ko. "You are right, Sir."

What's happening?

Fuck, don't tell me crush niya ang asawa ko?!

Pinanliitan ko ng mata ang boss. He cocked his head at me, question marks are written above his head.

"I see you," I mouthed.

Sumimangot siya sa 'kin.

I don't care if he's my boss! Magkasingtangkad lang kaming dalawa! Advantage nga sa 'kin kasi mas matanda siya, kapag nagsapakan kami, bigla siyang rarayumahin.

The elevator door opened and without a word, we all stepped out.

I glanced at my wife and saw her gentle eyes watching him. I knew her well that I can read the expression written all over her face.

She's both elated and sad. Like she missed him.

Why would she miss my boss?

But then, Brigadier General went back and then glanced at my sister.

"Hi, kid. I forgot to ask your name," he told my sister.

"Twinkle!" She beamed.

He smiled, "alright, Twinkle. You can call me Tito Levi."

"Hi, Tito Levi! Gwapo ikaw!"

He smiled, pinched my sister's cheek before glancing at my wife's way. She stiffened and I saw the excitement beaming in the depths of her amber eyes.

I watched her closely.

Her eyes looks so lost. Like the look she had on her eyes when she found out I fixed Zion the bike. The look when you lost something, missed it and it came back unexpectedly.

"You must be Miss Bullet," he started.

My wife smiled and nodded, "y-yeah, well...I'm Zy's secretary before and..."

"Scythe," aniya.

My wife was shocked but nodded, "yes, Sir."

"I see, call me Levi," I have never seen my boss' face this serene before. It was gentle, brotherly. I have seen that look before with Dad to his siblings.

There is something happening here. I could feel it. I should ask my wife later.

"Levi," she smiled widely and nodded, "p-perhaps, if it's not too much. Can I call you Kuya?"

Miski ako ay nagulat.

"Sorry?" He asked.

"H-huh? No, oh, God! I'm sorry, that was out of line. I'm sorry, Sir—"

"Kuya Levi is fine," he smiled, his black eyes twinkling. "I'm way too old for everyone here, I guess."

"Oh, no!" My wife shook her head, "I don't mean it that way, Sir! Hindi ka mukhang mas matanda sa amin! What are you...uh, five years older or..."

"Ten," he smiled. "Ten years older than that husband of yours, did you really marry him?" His tone became playful.

"Oo, Kuya, bakit hindi?" Sagot ko na.

His face crumpled, "What Kuya? Shut it, Sandejas. 'di lang ako makapaniwala. Akala ko bangungot."

Nagpamaywang ako sa kanya.

The acidity?

He grinned then glanced back at my wife.

"You can call me Kuya, Bullet. I don't mind having a little sister, I think I had one before..."

"Y-you do?" She asked hopefully.

"Yeah," aniya at ngumiti. "I just didn't know if it's just in my dreams or what but anyway...feel free to call me Kuya."

"Okay, Kuya," she smiled brightly. My heart softened.

Sinulyapan ko si boss.

"How about me naman, Kuya?" I asked playfully.

Nagbago ang ekspresyon niya.

"Not you," his eyes sharpened, "'di ko pa nakakalimutan ang atraso mo sa 'kin, Sandejas. Hindi mo pa nga pinapalitan ang upuan sa opisina!"

"Hala siya, ikaw nga 'tong namato ang upuan tapos ako magpapalit?" I asked, "pero sige, papalitan ko pero dapat p'wede rin kitang tawaging Kuya?"

"Fuck—" bumaba ang tingin niya kay Twinkle na tahimik na nanunuod. "Fruit." Sabay bawi niya.

My wife and I heaved a sigh. Mabuti na lang—

"Fuck!" Twinkle said happily that our eyes went back to him with annoyance.

"Levi!"

"You are indeed, husband and wife." He blurted.

Because an important meeting will take place now, walang pasok ang mga empleyado at ang mga boss lang ang nandito.

Nelia, my secretary, who came back after her long maternal leave and when my wife disappeared smiled at us when she saw us.

"Sir," aniya sabay baling kay Tish. "Ma'am..."

"Bullet na lang, Ate Nelia," she smiled a little.

"Sige, Bullet! Ang tagal kitang 'di nakita, ah? Bakit ang..." she sounded so curious, maybe realizing my wife's eyes are in a different shade now.

"I'll call you when we're ready."

"What's wrong, honey?"

She didn't answer, just stared at me with her worried eyes.

"Tish? Misis?" I called again, "what's the matter, mahal ko?"

She flinched at little. I tried hiding my smile when I noticed a faint blush started blooming on her cheek.

She sighed, "do you think it's okay for me to be here?"

Kumunot ang noo ko, "why not?"

"Just..." she breathed, "nothing...since the last time I was here, you knew what happened—"

"It's not your fault, okay?" I repeated, "none of this is your fault."

"My parents want you here if you still don't believe me," I explained. "They said you are needed here, Tish. We need you here."

Hope filled her eyes, "me?"

I nodded, "yes, hun. You. I gotta check the perimeter first, some country leaders will be here."

"Oh...like?"

"President of the Philippines and some royalties from Italy."

Her eyes widened more.

"Why?"

"I'm not sure, Dad won't say but knowing leaders will be here for a joint meeting. It might be a matter of national security."

She nodded, "can I come? You'll check the perimeter, right? I can help."

"I would love to, misis, but..." inilapit ko ang bibig sa tainga Niya. "Twinkle is still in danger, we can't risk her and so, you'll be here to protect her."

"Me?" Hinanap niya ang mata ko. "Why me? Paano pala kung—"

"I trust you, Tish," I cut her off before she could doubt herself. "I trust you with all my heart, more than those securities I had. They would fail me but you? You won't."

Her eyes softened.

Sometimes, it felt like I'm looking at Twinkle.

She nodded, taking a deep breath.

"Okay, I have my gun here and a knife."

Smiling, I kissed her check.

"I have a gun and ammos hidden under the sofa, if you needed more weapons—hopefully you won't, see that book?"

"I know, honey," aniya.

Naguguluhan ko siyang tinignan.

"I'm also a spy, remember?" She smirked, "I knew for a long time now, very clichè for hiding a secret room with that trick, don't you think?"

My laughter boomed.

"Uh-huh, sorry to tell you, baby, but I didn't chose that spot." I uttered, "it was there simula pa no'ng panahon ni kopong-kopong. I'm sure pinagawa 'yan ni Lolo Alejandro, alam mo na tanders—fuck, sorry. Joke lang, Lolo. Ayoko multuhin."

She chuckled. I smiled, too.

Ang ganda-ganda. For a woman who hides her reaction well, she sure has the most beautiful and genuine one once carefree. Like now.

Her eyes are twinkling like stars. The sweet smile written all over her lips—one I have missed kissing.

I didn't let her wear her contacts anymore, at least when we're together. I hated seeing her eyes getting irritated forcing herself to cover her amber ones but it's a process.

Must be her trauma from that fucking old hag.

I still haven't found him yet. But I was almost done with his headquarters. I don't care if it's messy—I love it messy when I take my revenge.

I wanted to hear their fucking scream for help, their pleas and begging. It sounded music to my ears. I will show no mercy.

After they hurt and took my wife from me? I'll show them why I was called—Reaper. I will bring death. Brutal and bloody death.

"Should I wear my..."

"It's up to you," hinaplos ko ang gilid ng mata niya, "makati pa ba?"

She shook her head, "napahinga naman ng dalawang araw. I think I should wear it briefly again? I'm not comfortable when I couldn't see clearly. What if I didn't notice a threat from afar?"

I nodded, "alright, but wear it only before we get inside the conference room. Para mas mapahinga pa ang mata mo. Next week, babalik tayo sa doktor, ah? We will get it checked again and maybe we could try eye glasses. Kahit kapag nasa bahay ka lang."

She nodded obediently. I smiled and kissed her cheek again.

Sighing, I whispered.

"Mahal na mahal talaga kita,"

"Hmm..." she hummed, "sorry, mister. Wala ka pa ring kiss."

I whined disappointedly, "wala pa rin? Isa lang? Kahit mwuah-mwuah lang?"

"Nah, nanliligaw ka, 'di ba? Ligaw muna bago laplap?"

Napakamot ako ng kilay, "p'wede bawiin?"

She smirked, pressed her fingers at the top of my lips first before kissing it. My eyes widened, realizing only her fingers was separating my lips with hers. Lips I've missed kissing.

My heart raced.

Ang sarap pala talaga magmahal kapag ganito? I knew for a fact this is how my parents felt with each other, how my sisters felt with their significant other.

I was enjoying the almost kiss when some tiny hand pushed my forehead away.

Tish laughed and gave her a peck on the lips. I groaned.

Twinkle glanced my way and grinned again.

"Ikaw talagang bungal ka,"

"Okay lang wala teeth, at least may kiss!" She taunted, "ikaw, may teeth nga, wala naman kiss! Ha-ha! Wawa naman ikaw!" Gumiling pa siyang nang-aasar.

Nagpapaawa akong bumaling sa asawa, nakanguso pa rin. She shook her head. Sinipa ko ang paa, nag-iinarte.

She sighed, "Ate Nelia, 'yong totoo, sino sa dalawang 'to ang bata?"

She then attempted to go up to the sofa.

"No, Ate! I'm big girl!" She said then pressed her tiny hands on the sofa to help herself up alone pero 'di niya maangat ang paa paakyat, sumasabit ang bilbil.

"Tama ka na, buchog," I said with a laugh and in the blink of an eye, tinatakbo na niya ako papalapit at hinihila ang buhok ko.

My wife just face palmed. Maybe she's done with us.

My hair's disheveled after that war session with my sister.

She only let go when Tish called her using her warning tone.

"Take care of our Twinkle, hun," I whispered before kissing her cheek, leaving my girls inside the room.

"Keep an eye for my wife and sister. No one gets inside the room but me and my family."

"Sir, yes, sir!" I saluted back before leaving, making my way to the conference to make a quick check, looking for bugs or whatever.

I pressed my comms afterwards and notified Will it's clear before joining him to check on the perimeter.

He's out of my suspicion list. I investigated him secretly and privately. He's clear.

However, my suspicions are focused now to one person. Jackie.

In my memories, she was there way back in college while I was still with Tish. Then, before I become the acting director of DEA, she was working her and she knew about my relationship with Twila.

She's the one hiring people around us, checking backgrounds. It will be easy for her to get enemies inside without us knowing.

She knew our home. She knew about my relationship with my wife. She knew about the fucking USB.

"Jackie wanted in," Will informed.

"Where is she?"

"In the lobby," aniya. "She was asking why she's not included in the meeting. She's angry."

"Let her be," malamig kong sabi. "I have a hunch about her, I'm still confirming it but I'm sure."

He nodded.

No one knows about the USB but me, wife, dad, and uncle Azul who's been helping us to decrypt.

Wyatt could never get to touch my family again. I'd die first before he gets to touch my wife again.

Brig. Gen. Delgado had started instructing soldiers for a thorough checking. Tumayo kami ni Will sa likuran at nakinig.

"Colonel," he called.

"Yes, Sir?"

"Lead Team A, sa back entrance kayo."

"Sir, yes, sir!" I saluted, assembled my team and led them to the back entrance.

"All clear," I informed Brig. Gen.

"Bullet's your wife, huh?" Aniya.

My shoulders relaxed. I chuckled.

"Hindi ba kapani-paniwala, sir? S'yempre naman, sa gwapo kong—"

"Alam mo siguro no'ng umuulan ng kahanginan tinulak mo 'yong iba tapos sinarili mo lahat," he smirked at me.

I laughed.

"Bakit, Sir? Siguro no'ng pinapaulanan ako ikaw nasa loob lang ng bahay kasi alam mo na...rayuma problems?"

And hell, I was laughing and groaning when he pulled my ear in annoyance.

"Ikaw talaga, Sandejas! Mabuti na lang at wala akong kapatid na babae!"

"Anong connect—"

"I won't ever make her date you, idiot!"

"Parents kong perfect!" I greeted happily. I embraced Dad and kissed Mom's cheek before hugging her.

"Oh, my baby," Mom mused, "kumain ka na, 'nak? Ang kapatid mo?"

"Nasa opisina, she's with my wife," I answered and smiled at her.

I narrowed my eyes at my boss.

"Daddy Pogi, h'wag ka maniwala d'yan, sinisiraan niya kagwapuhan ng angkan natin."

Dad laughed, "what is it, Levi?"

"No, Sir, I'm just saying it's a good thing I didn't have a sister." He explained.

Dad's eyes brightened before glancing his way, "oh...is it?"

"Yes, Sir," ani ng boss ko. "No offense meant since I liked you, Sir, Ma'am. Except this one here—ang sakit sa ulo. Did you know he broke my favorite chair in the office?"

Umawang ang labi ko.

"Mapagbintang ka, Sir, huh? Hinagis mo sa 'kin! 'Di ko nasira!"

"Oh, really?" He frowned, "baka nakakalimutan mo nang niregalo mo sa 'kin no'ng nakaraang exchange gift, diaper ng matanda?"

"What?!" My parents laughed.

"Why not?"

I always liked it when my parents never called me out when I act like I still need their protection. Maybe this is a positive sign they are that great with parenting.

I never felt awkward and embarrassed being me.

I hope I'd be like that in the future. Be a good dad and Tish as the mother. Only if she want to build a family with me.

I promise I'll be a good father. I will do my best.

"So, paano pala if may kapatid kang babae tapos natipuan itong anak ko?" Dad asked suddenly.

"No way," sabay naming sagot ni Sir. Nagkatinginan kami, for the first time, may napagkasunduan.

"I have a wife, Dad," I said, "I love Tish. I appreciate pretty girls but I'm married."

"Huh, as if I want my sister to get involved with you." Sir frowned at me, "no thanks."

"Oh, memories! Memories!" He sang and placed his arms around Mom. "Naalala mo noon si Tiger, misis?"

Mom rolled her eyes but then smirked, an evil glint mixing with thrill filling her black eyes.

"Uh-huh..." she said, "and what will you do if you have a sister, Levi? Tapos..."

"Nope," we said in unison again.

"I'm in love with my wife," I answered.

"Good, then," Sir mused. "If I have a sister, nasa baba ka ng listahan na papayagan kong syotain niya."

I asked.

My parents just shrugged, pointing the entrance when guards started aligning for the president.

Good luck, gwapo," aniya.

"Good luck for...?"

He just smiled wickedly, leaving me confused.

"Kuya!" She breathed.

"Zire? Bakit?"

"Si Ate..." she gasped and touched her chest, gasping for air. "Si Ate Bullet nakikipagsabunutan kay Jackie!"

My eyes widened in amusement as an evil smile left my lips.

"So, sino nanalo?" I asked excitedly.

.·:*¨ ¨*:·.

BULLET

I am not petty. As much as possible, I avoid getting involved with nonsense fights.

I just want to leave a normal life, stay invisible and just do what I had to.

To study.

I tried taming the devil inside me, tried stopping myself from gutting them alive in school grounds. Tamed myself from doing something from so called "civilians" but people kept testing me lately.

Day by day, more memories came back. I remembered more about my husband, about the public proposal he had for me. How I ran away, how he chased after me and how our secret relationship started.

In my head, I watched it all unfold and everytime I see my husband, I realized how lucky I am to find him. To be loved by him.

I was an outsider, a puppet, a killing machine to be discarded once I'm out of use.

I had no friends, no family. I was barely surviving, embracing the darkness where I grew up but Zion...he lit a match and led me out of it.

He taught me what being loved felt. He made me feel happy. He made me laugh. He...he was everything.

To meet your true love twice in one lifetime is rare and loving the same person twice in different faces is impossible, miracle.

Yes, I tried to but the very first attempt I had to leave, my two sunshines made a way to stop me from leaving.

Twinkle patay! Ack!" She pretended to be dead.

I sleep in the guest room and my husband never forced me to sleep with him—well, we make out sometimes.

Minsan lang! Kapag ano...horny ako.

Damn it, my husband knew if I wanted to use my boyfriend, Franklin, at night at kahit nagpaplano pa lang ako sa isip, ginagapang na niya ako!

He'd use Franklin to pleasure me, make me come and I knew he wanted to touch me but he refused to. Like in college.

He said he wanted me to stay because I want to, not because we fuck. Kaya ayon, tuyot ang hardin ng sangkatauhan.

My only release was through the use of my boyfriend and my husband watching me as make myself come.

A plus for the effort.

The next days, they thought I was planning to leave again at pagbukas ko ng pinto sa umaga, gumawa pala sila ng tent sa hallway at doon sila natulog magkapatid kasama ang pusa.

Para daw marinig nila kapag naglakad ako. Para daw alam nila kung aalis ako. Para daw sasama sila.

It scarred them, too. I know. I'm not fine with it.

I assured and promised them I won't leave but Twinkle, every morning was waiting for me in the kitchen. There are times I'd wake up with her climbing my bed, still sleepy to embrace me.

And my husband, I knew he was checking on me t'wing madaling-araw at pagkagising niya sa umaga kung nasa guest room pa ako. If I wake up early and would try cooking burned pancakes, tapos nakikita niyang wala ako sa kwarto, he would panic.

I'd hear his quick steps running down the stairs and only until our gazes lock would his tension fade. His shoulders would relaxed, his eyes would soften and his worry will be replaced with a soft smile.

"Hi, honey, good morning."

Right now, I am still adjusting to my life. I have received a few invitations to dine with the Sandejas' but I think I still wasn't ready.

When I told him my sentiments, he respected it.

"I'm sorry, Zy," I whispered. "I knew you missed them, you can dine with them! Ayos lang ako rito sa bahay. May trabaho rin ako kasama sina Clau."

"It's fine," he soothed, "kaka-dinner ko lang sa amin last week, 'di naman nila ako masyadong mami-miss ang kagwapuhan ko. We'll dine with them if you're ready."

Kinamot ko ang pisngi.

"Sorry, you don't have to—"

"Ayan ka na naman," hinuli niya ang daliri ko. "Don't stress about it, hmm? It's fine. They understand. And don't scratch your cheek much. Magkakasugat na naman ang magandang mukha ng asawa ko."

My heart raced. He kissed knuckles.

"I'm pretty?" I whispered hesitantly.

He nodded, "beautiful."

He moved his face closer to me and as we're inches apart, inangat ko ang daliri, hinuli ang buhok niya sabay hila ng ponytail niya paalis.

He stiffened and I laughed, lifting his ponytail to show him.

"Akin na 'to!" I beamed and squealed when he ran after me.

Lately my life was fun. Better and well yeah, happy with my mini family. I worked for Tito Zeij and pointing out more possible HQ and cargo for Wyatt and guess what? I found out my friend are a part of my team.

He let me keep my friends.

It was pretty well but some bitch kept on testing my patience. I told myself I wanna be a good person but...mas demonyo talaga ako.

Bevurleigh Leticia works hard but Scythe works harder.

I went to the lobby to go to the cafeteria to buy some juice for my Twila, I left her with Zire and Wave first. As I was walking, someone attacked me.

"You bitch! Bakit nandito ka?! Dapat ako! Hindi ikaw!" She grabbed my hair.

Papatalo ba ako?

No. To hell with being a good person. I'm a bitch.

I grabbed Jackie's hair with both of my hands and her scream echoed.

"Don't touch me!" I hissed, "walang aawat! Tatanggalan ko ng anit ang punyetang 'to!"

"Ang yabang mo, 'di ka naman totoong asawa!" She pulled my hair more. Natawa ako.

"Uh-huh? Inggit ka? Kasi ako pinakasalan pero ikaw kahit kunwari lang hindi pinatulan?" I asked bluntly.

I heard a sudden wheeze from securities trying to stop their laughter from my words.

"Bakit kayo tumatawa?!" She squealed. "Stop this bitch! She's hurting me!"

Sabay-sabay silang bumaling sa akin.

"No," I said with certainty. The guards stand down. Mas lalong nagalit si Jackie.

She made a dramatic scream I wanted so bad to punch her throat for her to stop whining. She scratched me, pulled my hair but I didn't give up.

I'm stronger than her physical and one scratch of my nails on her skin, gumuhit ang malalim na sugat doon.

She screamed more.

"Stop wailing! What are you, a banshee?"

Humigpit ang hawak niya sa ulo ko and hell, it stung. Ang haba ng kuko ni punyeta.

I moved my head, tried looking for a way to shift it in my advantage when her hands on my hair faded. But her hands are still up in the air.

Why...

"Zy?"

"Go, honey, I got you."

I blinked. He grinned.

"Galingan mo, sa 'yo ang pusta ko," he winked.

Amused and thrilled, I tipped my chin up, resting my entire back at my husband's chest before catching his lips for a quick, wet kiss.

"Thanks, hun," I mused and whispered. "I'll give you a blow job later."

He whistled, mirth dancing on his blue eyes. I grinned before glancing back at Jackie's terrorized face.

"This is unfair!" She wailed, "this is fucking unfair!"

I didn't care. Life is fucking unfair, anyway. Kaya sinabunutan ko siya.

I had the happiest time pulling her hair in my advantage.

Just as it was turning boring—because I like my prey trying to at least fight, a loud voice echoed.

"What is happening?"

That cold, familiar feminine tone sent shivers down my spine.

Alyx Sandejas. Viper.

I unconsciously fixed my hair and shirt, my heart thumping in nervousness.

Fuck! I disappoint her again!

"Anong nangyayari?" She asked.

The lobby became quiet.

"Are you fine?" She suddenly asked.

"Ma'am, she started it!" Tinuro ako ni Jackie.

Umirap ako sa hangin. Paawa ang gaga.

"I was just...I was just asking why am I not included in the meeting when she suddenly grabbed my hair! And...and I'm fine, medyo masakit lang po—"

"Not you, Miss Vicente. I'm talking to my daughter-in-law." She cut her off.

Nagulantang din ako at napahawak sa dibdib.

"A-ako?"

Her eyes softened, "yes, darling. Are you okay?" She asked.

Bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko.

Oh my, God! She's worried about me!

"Yieee, napansin ni idol," ani Zy. Siniko ko siya at tumikhim para sagutin si Tita.

"Y-yes po," I nodded attentively, "I'm good."

"I've been here for years pero puro na lang kayo Bullet!" She screamed.

Just as she pulled a gun from her waist, I pulled my gun out and pointed it in her direction.

My breath hitched and I felt how my husband's body tensed behind me.

Jackie sighed, "I stayed here in this agency! Helping you pero may bago lang kayong paborito, wala na kayong pakialam sa akin!"

What the fuck is she saying?

"And you!"

Zion cursed and tried pushing me away but I stayed standing, not taking my eye off the bitch.

Subukan mo lang saktan ang asawa ko.

I could feel Zy moving to try and take my knife strapped on my leg.

"I was there for you! In college! Kahit tinakbuhan ka ng babaeng 'yan! Nando'n ako!"

"Uh-hmm, I see. How did you know it was my wife who ran away from me before, then?" Zion's cold voice sent chills down my spine.

Natahimik si Jackie.

I grimaced. So, it was you, then.

I knew it.

You pretended to be me and framed me for Twinkle's abduction.

"B-bakit hindi ako, Zy?" She asked, her voice trembling. "I told I like you! For years now! Kahit kinalimutan mo ako, paulit-ulit kong pinakita sa 'yong gusto kita! I am a good employee! I even hid your fucking secret about your bastard sister!"

Now my jaw clenched. Inabot ko ang gatilyo ng baril.

"Who's bastard, Vicente?" I asked icily.

"'Yong kapatid niya!"

Tito Zeij's out of sight now. No one even noticed.

I heard commotions.

"You didn't know but they had another bastard in the family! Twila Klein! Does it ring a bell?"

If I could wring someone's neck. It would be hers.

"Itinago nila sa inyo 'yon! Sa mata ng mga tao kasi kinuha lang nila ang bata! She was just a bastard! Hindi ko alam kung bakit tinatago at sobra ang pagpoprotekta! Ampon lang naman!"

My jaw clenched. Nangangati na akong pindutin ang gatilyo.

"What the fuck did you say against my daughter, Vicente?" Acid dripped from Alyx's tone.

"I said she's a bastard! She didn't even like me! Kahit ako ang madalas niyang nakikita!"

"Allergic kasi siya sa pangit," bulong ni Zy.

My jaw clenched. I'm serious here! Gusto kong sapukin ang asawa.

"That ungrateful brat! Kaya bakit ko siya poprotektahan? You don't even appreciate me hiding your fucking secrets well! So guess what, when someone called me and told me my worth...I was happy. Guess your bastard daughter had something valuable so...I sold her. If only you can see her face while crying to her Ate Bullet."

"Breathe, hun," he whispered. "Do you trust me?"

I gave a stiff nod and as she was saying her dramatic monologue, trying to spin the story to her advantage, I observed.

I saw movement above and when I did a quick glance, Tito Zeijan and Kuya Levi was there with their riffles.

Tita Alyx was taunting her, unaffected but I knew she wasn't. I know she was trembling in anger hearing those words coming out from Jackie's dirty mouth.

"If I say move, you move," Zy whispered.

I did a quick head movement, telling him I understand.

"I thought she'll be gone for good now but what? Naniwala kayo sa kasinungalingan niya? You took her back with open arms—"

"Move."

I did a quick step away as my husband threw the knife in her direction, making her drop the weapon. She screamed and was about to pull Tita Alyx closer, narinig ko ang putok ng baril at ang sumunod na nakita ay ang nakahiga niyang bulto sa sahig.

She was screaming in pain as bullet pierced her leg. She tried crawling to reach for the gun again when Kuya Levi shot the gun she's trying to take. Tumalsik iyon palayo.

"Fuck!" She screamed as the soldiers pulled her up, the security handcuffing her.

"Take her to the warehouse! I'll see to her personally later," malamig na sabi ni Tita Alyx.

Nagkagulo sa lobby, mas dumami ang security. My husband led us to the elevator but while we're on our way, I locked gazes with a beautiful woman with blue eyes and ginger hair.

I stiffened.

She smiled softly at me and before I could smile back, the elevators door closed.

Akala ko 'di na matutuloy ang meeting dahil sa nangyari but they didn't want to waste time and effort. The securities tripled and while waiting for the VIPs to get inside the conference, nandoon muna kami sa opisina ni Zy.

Twinkle was beaming when she saw who are we with.

"Mommy! Daddy!" She hopped out of the sofa to jump on them and my heart softened upon seeing the two of them hugging the little ball of sunshine.

It was obvious Twinkle grew up with the right people. I could see the love twinkling in her parents eyes.

I could not imagine if anyone else got my little baby.

"Honey, you okay?"

"I saw someone earlier, a lady with blue eyes and ginger hair. Is she..."

"The newly crowned Queen of Italy, from House of Savoy." He said, "you'll meet her later. I think Uncle Azul's had news regarding the USB."

"Darling,"

"Tita..."

"Are you okay?" She asked worriedly, her gaze gentle. "I'm sorry for what happened earlier."

"It's nothing, Tita," I smiled. "Thank you for asking. I'm fine, ikaw nga po dapat ang tinatanong ko n'yan."

"Nah," iwinasiwas niya ang palad sa ere. "She could point the gun on my face and I won't even flinch. That's nothing. I'm worried about you, how...are you?"

She's asking about me?

"I'll leave you two for now, ladies," Zy smiled before walking, leaving me and his mom alone.

"Ayos lang po," sagot ko. "Atsaka, pasensya na po pala no'ng nakaraan. I know I promised—"

"It was wrong of me, Bullet," she took a step and held my hands. "I'm wrong, darling. I'm sorry. Sorry for the words I said, for asking you to leave. I'm sorry."

My eyes stung when she offered me a hug and like usual, I felt home. I felt like I belong. I felt like I have a mother.

"You are an amazing woman, Bullet. Thank you for taking care and loving my children," she hummed. "You are beautiful."

My eyes stung.

"You are so brave, I hope you are happy. If you needed someone, parents, siblings—a home, palaging bukas ang tahanan namin para sa 'yo, anak."

That made me cry.

"You r-remind me of the young me so much, darling," she hummed. "I could've done better. I-I'm sorry. Sa lahat, ako dapat ang mas nakaintindi sa 'yo."

Umiling ako at humigpit ang yakap sa kanya.

"I-it wasn't your fault, Tita. I u-understand."

"Still..." she breathed and kissed my hair, "you're an amazing woman, anak. Salamat sa pagmamahal sa Zion at Twinkle natin."

I nodded repeatedly, "thank you, Tita. T-thank you. I-I promise I'll do my best! I won't disappoint you. You won't regret taking me in."

"Oh, sweetheart," she breathed, pulling away to cup my cheek. "You don't have to promise, just do what makes you happy. Masaya na ako. Do you know what I want you to promise me?"

I shook my head.

"Be happy," she touched my cheek. "Don't hesitate to accept all the goodness in the world, do not doubt for you deserved it. Everything. The love, the happiness. The home. If you needed help, nandito ako. I heard you idolize me, hmm?"

My cheeks heated. Nahihiya akong nagbaba ng tingin.

She chuckled and embraced me again.

"I idolize you, too, Bullet. I idolize your bravery, how beautiful and amazing you are."

"Thank you, Tita," I tightened my grip.

"Call me Mom," she said. "I don't want my daughter calling me Tita."

Mas lalo lang akong naging emosyonal.

I heaved a deep sigh while on our way to the conference room.

"It's gonna be fine," he assured and kissed my head. "It's okay, hun. I'm here."

I didn't wear my colored contacts and chose the clear one for my eyesight instead.

I'm meeting important people. They let me join them. They wanted my opinion.

Oh, God. I don't pray to you often but please, help me. I don't want to disappoint these people for believing and giving me a chance again.

Nanlamig ako pagbukas ng pintuan at sinalubong kami ng katahimikan. Mabigat ang presensya sa loob. It was giving me the feeling of getting shot if you messed up even a little.

This must be really serious.

I glanced at my husband when soldiers saluted. Sumaludo siya bago tumango.

"Good work,"

I can't help but praise him in his army green military uniform and combat boots. His hair's in a man bun, the ghost of his tattoos peeking on his nape.

He looks so clean, handsome and uh...you know. Fucking dashing.

I targeted his ponytail but hesitated.

Not now, Bullet. It's an important meeting. You can't be childish and try stealing his ponytail!

He glanced at me and smiled handsomely. I sighed dreamily.

Tumawa siya at pinisil ang ilong ko.

"Tara na, ganda. I'll introduce them to you," he held my waist, pulling me closer to him to greet the VIPs.

I have met the President of the Philippines, Dominic Ardiente and his wife. The first lady, Mrs. Ardiente.

The couple screams power and authority. They are good leaders, if I may add.

The first lady smiled and offered her hand at me.

"Nice to meet you, Madame,"

She nodded, kissed my cheek before shaking hands with my husband.

"Miss...?"

"Mrs. Sandejas," I told the president and offered my hand.

"Hmm," tumaas ang sulok ng labi niya pero hindi nabuo ang ngiti. He accepted my hand for a hand shake and glanced at my husband.

"You got a beautiful wife, Colonel." He commented.

"Thank you, Mr. President," Zy smirked. "You also have a beautiful wife. Ma'am?" Sabay lahad ng asawa ng kamay sa first lady.

The couple are years older than us but their aura were striking. Sharp and untouchable.

After them, nagtungo kami sa pwesto ng magandang babaeng nanunuod. I have seen her briefly in photos but I didn't know she will be this beautiful in person!

Soft features, curly ginger hair and a sweet smile.

I curtsied.

"Your highness," I greeted.

"Oh, no," she chuckled. "It's fine. You don't have to—oh, okay." Bumaling siya sa asawa na ginaya ako.

"Your highness," Zy smiled. "Thank you for joining us today. I know you're on vacation."

"Oh, no worries! I was in Casa Amara yesterday and when I heard about the meeting, why not? This is a matter of national security and if I hear it right—Italy was involved, right?"

"Yes, your highness," Zy answered. "It's about one of Italy's royal houses."

"Oh, I see,"

"Hun, this is her majesty. Queen Gabriela Romanov. Your majesty, my wife. Bevurleigh Leticia Sandejas."

I curtsied again. "Nice to meet you, Your Majesty. I'm Bullet."

She nodded then smiled again.

"Nice to meet you, too, Miss Bullet! Ang ganda mo...and oh, your eyes! I love your eyes, naalala ko sa 'yo ang cousin ko. She has amber eyes, too!"

Nanigas ako sa sinabi niya.

What? She's speaking Tagalog?

"Oh, yeah! Don't look at me like I'm alien, ah?" She grinned, "marunong ako mag-speak ng Tagalog. H'wag mo lang i-notice ang accent ko kasi it's funny."

I smiled.

"No worries, your majesty! You are so good! Nakakaintindi ka ba ng maraming Tagalog?"

Her eyes brightened.

"Yes! H'wag lang na super fast kasi sometimes nag-bulbol sa mind ko." She beamed but silence only filled the room.

Bulbol?

I eyed him seriously.

This shit head!

"Buhol-buhol," a voice echoed from the door.

He's in his casual shirt, suit and pants. Matapang din ang mukha ang gwapo.

"Seb," Zy called.

He grinned, "hello, Zy. Nice meeting you again." They did a man hug before the man glanced my way and offered his hand.

"Hello, Miss. You are?"

"Bullet," I answered and accepted his hand.

"My wife," Zy said as he possessively wrapped his arm around my waist.

I rolled my eyes. What's this sudden possessiveness, huh?

A glint of mirth passed on his eyes as he shook his head.

"I feel you," he chuckled then glanced behind me, "come here, Sandy."

Sandy?

Confused, the lady went closer to him and my eyes widened when Seb placed his hand on her waist.

"I see you've met my wife," aniya. "Pagpasensyahan n'yo na sa pagka-conyo. Medyo tabingi kasi dila nito."

"Hey!" The Queen grimaced but giggled afterwards. Pinagmasdan ko tuloy silang dalawa.

"Does this mean..."

"Prince consort of Italy," ani Zy.

I curtsied again but the prince consort stopped me, frowning.

"Tss, h'wag na! Ang gara naman ng mga 'to. Hi, hello, how are you na lang! Ito lang naman ang royal royal dito sa 'tin." Baling niya sa asawa. "Okay na 'ko sa Royal na softdrinks."

I laughed at his jokes then proceeded.

The Queen of Italy can't take her eyes off me. She kept on asking about my eyes, if it was natural or if I'm just wearing contacts. I told the truth, she said her cousin, the Duchess of Savoy. Duchess Cathalina had the same eye color as mine.

She even asked me to sit beside her. She said she liked me.

I'm happy to obliged. I sat beside her with my husband, freely asking her about her vacation.

My smile widened when I saw Jayden and Clau with Kuya Levi na kumindat sa akin.

I nodded at him and accepted the bottle of juice he extended.

"Wala 'ko, Kuya?" My husband asked.

"Wala, bakit, sino ka ba?" He taunted.

My husband's shoulders fell. I chuckled and kissed his cheek.

This isn't good. Seems like they're frenemies. I can only imagine if my husband found out.

He explained about Wyatt, how the House of Kastrioti—Wyatt's accomplice partnered for drugs, firearms and human trafficking. And how it might start a war between two countries if not resolved.

Giovanni, as per Queen Gabriela was in jail for treason a few years ago. Wyatt was using his name on behalf of his new accomplice from the house for cover but luckily, they got caught, too.

"The thing is," the Queen started. "The House of Kastrioti was empty. No new family are in line for the House. The kingdom of Italy won't risk filling the place again with a newer one. Who knows if history repeats itself? We can't risk my country's safety again."

"Are there no legitimate heirs from the old family residing the House?"

"The Mancini's are long gone, Mr. President." Queen Gabriela answered, referring to the family name.

"What happened?" Kuya Levi asked, "if it's okay to ask."

"It was a long time ago, Brig. Gen., the whole family was slaughtered—the three kids gone, the duke and duchess dead."

"Are there no suspects for the children's disappearance?" Kuya Levi asked, his forehead creasing.

"Unfortunately no," aniya. "It was a long time ago and they closed it. Unsolved. They assumed the children are dead like their parents. The family second in line assumed the place from the Mancini and the rest is history. Right now, we're investigating. Giovanni and his family might be involved."

"So, no one assumed the House?" I asked.

"Yes," she nodded. "We won't risk another betrayal. The place won't be filled unless the right family came."

Kuya Levi closed his eyes and massaged his nape.

"Excuse us first, ladies and gentlemen," Tita Alyx said, "I think we have another guest."

He's handsome, which is not a shocker.

He's the same age, I think like Sir Iñigo. He reminds me of him, too.

"This is my cousin, Azul," ani Tito Zeij, tinutukoy ang matangkad na gwapong lalaki papunta sa harapan.

Oh...this must be the uncle Zy was referring to. The one helping decrypting the USB.

Azul smiled, his blue eyes cold and calculated.

I watched them help him set up and his eyes lingered at me for a second it gave me goosebumps.

May sinabi siya kay Tito Zeij and when I think they're done, nag-reflect sa screen ang nasa laptop ni Azul.

"Good day," he greeted. "Sorry for the late notice, I'm Azul Sandejas."

They greeted him. I clutched my husband's hands nervously.

"Is he..."

"I think so," he whispered back. "He suddenly called for an urgent meeting. He flew in his jet here."

"The last few months, my nephew came to me with a drive and asked for help. However, it took me a while to decrypt the security for it was advanced and used by high profile royalties such as..." he nodded at Queen Gabriela.

She nodded and touched her chin.

"Italian?"

Azul nodded, "yes, your majesty."

He discussed how he decrypt the security and then his eyes found mine again.

"What I found inside the USB was...disturbing,"

I gripped my husband's palms tighter.

"But I won't discuss it. The main agenda of this meeting was the files and documents I found out last night, it undergo analysis and was sent out for authenticity. It was found raw and unedited."

Mas bumilis ang paghinga ko.

"Zeijan briefed me on my way here and I hope what I will show you will shed some light," he then pressed the remote and pictures appeared in the screen.

A picture of a child, and two toddlers. Two boys and a girl.

But it seems like the girl was the youngest.

My heart raced. It was the same color as mine.

Amber.

And the child. He was older than the two kids.

Oh, don't tell me...

"I was able to locate, with the help of the team and the Sandejas' about the connection of these kids. However, the third one..." he pointed the other boy with the blurred face, must be a camera problem.

"I can't find a clear picture of him but I have sent the picture for analysis, I'm sure we will have a clear photo of him soon."

He then showed a scanned document at sa dami ng nakasulat ay 'di ko na makuha lahat pero ang mga malinaw sa akin ay mga pangalan at salita.

House of Kastrioti

Harold Levi

Jaylan Denardo

Bevurleigh Leticia

Mancini

My breath labored.

"M-meaning..."

"This is only what we confirmed so far but Harold Levi and Bevurleigh Leticia are two of the missing three children of the Manicini."

"You two are the lost heirs of the House of Kastrioti," ani Azul sa siguradong tinig.

"H-huh?" Suddenly, my husband raised his hand. "Ano, Uncle? P'wedeng pakiulit? Para may kuliglig sa tainga ko. Sinong...magkapatid?"

"Brig. Gen. Levi Delgado and Miss Bullet are siblings, Zy," he said coolly and instead of me squealing in delight after knowing the truth, I squealed because my husband...fell on the fucking chair.
