Silence Night Killer (Eng) (OUTDATED)

Part II: Chapter 32

Arosaland

The next day, Ryota and Kiyo got up earlier than usual, already up at five o'clock.

"What time are we leaving..?" - Ryota sleepy said.

"Six o'clock."

"That early...?"

Ryota chewed on his bread tiredly, he wasn't used to getting up this early.

"Change your clothes Ryota, get ready now. We have to call Sunny too."

Ryota staggered into the room.

Biting into the omelet sandwich, Kiyo casually took a close look at the house one last time. After three years of living here, he also had a lot of memories to keep this place, both happy and sad.

From the day he moved to this area, he had to go out every night to cut people, then a week of eating and sleeping with Sunny, two weeks of suspension, and the adoption of Ryota. Those memories seemed to try to keep him here, but then he still had to go to the distant capital...

"So, are you ready?" - Ryota asked Kiyo.

"What? Yeah, I'm done." - He had just lost in thoughts again.

After that, they locked the house, then returned the keys to the landlady, brought their belongings, school records and piles of papers, with Ikusaba school invitations, and went on their way.

Kiyo went to ring Sunny's doorbell, as he expected, the brown-haired boy heavily brought his things out.

"Kiyo! Come so early!"

"We need to leave at six o'clock. It's half past five, we have to hurry."

The bus station is also quite close, just a five-minute walk. They waited.

"It's a bit of a pity, now we have to leave town..." - Sunny said.

"Yes, but I don't want to stay anymore. My head is dark all day..." - Kiyo unconsciously said that.

"What?" - Sunny asked bewildered.

"No, it's nothing. There, the bus is here, get on!" - Kiyo panicked because he almost revealed his secret, leading the two to the bus.

The bus was a bit empty today. Probably due to early pick-up. The three put their things on the shelves and sat in the last row.

There were enough seats for three people, so they shouldn't have any problems.

But because of waking up early, Ryota quickly fell asleep and collapsed on Kiyo's shoulder. Kiyo let him lean on.

The bus started shifting. Slowly and then exit the bus station.

Although he did not pass Kikyo Hill, Kiyo still looked back. It's still the same. He and Sunny talked, cried together on it, and confessed all the emotions hidden in their hearts.. Oh, so many memories on it, but they finally had to leave it there.

Kiyo only cared about that hill, nothing else, even the old orphanage, also how is the nanny Yuri now?

The bus left the town completely, passing through villages, green fields and electric lines like the wind. The morning sun is shining softly through the window glass.

Kiyo was busy looking outside when he felt a warmth in his hand. Sunny was holding his hand, eyes still looking out, I wonder what he was thinking?

Kiyo then returned the other's fist, and they didn't say anything.

After a while there were buildings outside the window, then the houses were close together, people were crowded on the sidewalks, and there were more cars here than in his town.

Are we already at Chushin? It is a not-so-marvelous city as people imagine, but a noisy and busy one. That was Kiyo's first impression of his country's capital.

"We've arrived in Chushin City." - Someone said loudly.

"Wake up, Ryota, we're here." - Kiyo shook Ryota.

"Huh..? Ah." - Ryota slowly opened his eyes.

They got up, got their things down, and got off the bus.

Kiyo, Sunny and Ryota tried to avoid the crowd near the market, and then went to the rental house recommended by the landlady.

There, Kiyo looked at the price and asked the owner to rent and live.

"Where are you guys from?" - The person asked.

Kiyo said the town and province, then they asked where, and Kiyo answered.

"Okay. It's fifteen thousand a month."

"Fifteen?! Why did it say half of nine?!"

"We're losing money, so we have to push the price up! If you don't have money, go somewhere else to live!"

Annoyed at the host's attitude, Kiyo said nothing more and took the two away.

"We don't have enough money, what do we do now?" - Ryota asked worriedly.

"We'll have to find another place, we have no choice otherwise."

"Sorry, but I have an idea."

Both brothers widened their eyes and asked what idea? then Sunny said:

"I heard that near Ikusaba school, there are rental houses for students from other provinces. The price is also reasonable for students."

"Then let's get there, it's close anyway. Why didn't you say earlier?" - Kiyo lowered his voice.

"I forgot." - Sunny slightly laughed.

Eventually, they were able to rent a room for all three.

They went to see the new department. The house has two floors, all three are on the first floor.

The room was a bit larger than the old one, relatively clean, and still has a TV, table and chairs, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom (but only one room).

Renting problem is solved. Now it's just a matter of enrolling and finding a job.

The next morning, when Sunny and Ryota hadn't woken up yet, Kiyo sneaked out to go to school to enroll.

He went to the principal's office and brought both invitations up. Without hesitation, he went straight to the point:

"How did you and the administration know about us? Even my dark past?"

The tall headmaster, about forty years old, said calmly:

"That's simple. In all schools, whether public or private, there are our teachers and staff mixed with others. Maybe your homeroom teacher is from this school. As for your past... the information was provided by the camp and orphanage itself."

Do those two places say it all? Oh my god, I'm gonna be exposed one day...

Noticing Kiyo's worried face, the teacher continued, in order to comfort Kiyo:

"But don't worry, the school will keep your information confidential, no one will know about that past but the school and you."

"Are you sure?" - Kiyo asked surprised.

"The school's responsibility is to ensure the safety and education of students. So you don't have to worry."

He took Sunny and Kiyo's files and approved them. Stamp both invitations and ask Kiyo to sign the confirmation.

"Remember to tell your friend to come up too. Kiyo, you can go home."

Kiyo was relieved and slowly walked out of the room.

Just then, the teacher picked up a list, thinking thoughtfully.

"Ten students from Class B, First Year..." - Then he added both of them. That's a total of twelve people.

But.. why is there a student two years younger than the whole class here?

"Sunny, Ryota, wake up! It's morning!" - Kiyo pulled the curtain, and opened the window.

Ryota drowsily woke up, squinting at Kiyo.

"Why so early...?" - Sunny slowly sat up, rubbing his eyes.

"You're not as neat as you used to be these days."

"I've never been like that." - He went to the bathroom uncomfortably.

Kiyo sighed and took out the food, cooking something delicious, since it's summer break, just relax.

He thought about Sunny's attitude earlier. Before, he was quite neat, but except for the day he was about to come here, Sunny didn't care about his appearance anymore.

I don't understand why Sunny was like this..?

"Hey, Sunny."

"What is it, Kiyo?" - He just stepped out of the bathroom, his hair still messy.

"Let's go outside and talk for a bit later. By the way, the headmaster called you up for admission, shouldn't you brush your hair and change your clothes?"

Without showing any displeasure, Sunny quietly entered the room, and took out a decent, cool but polite outfit.

........

Less than an hour, Sunny returned.

"I'm back."

"That fast? How's it going?"

"The deal is over. By the way, we're both in the same class, aren't we? - Sunny held Kiyo's shoulders.

Kiyo was just embarrassed, smiled, and said yeah, he himself was very happy.

"You know, Kiyo? About that Programming Internship Student  title..."

"What's with it?"

"I've never said this before but... I really want to be a programmer. Being trained in that school will contribute to my future. And you know, if it becomes true, I will devote myself to the country's technology."

Sunny said in a nervous yet excited tone. Despite that attitude being a bit weird for Kiyo, as long as he was happy, Kiyo was satisfied.

"Is that so.. That industry suits you too."

"By the way... what are you going to talk about, Kiyo?"

Kiyo suddenly remembered, and frantically said:

"Ah, that one... You seem happy right now, is it okay if I say it?"

"It's okay... Is it something bad?"

"Just come here with me."

Kiyo pulled Sunny's hand out onto the balcony, sitting in a hidden corner.
