Prologue
Naib's life has never been easy. Born in a poor country with his father passed away when he was young, leaving his mother to raise her only child alone. So of course, he was forced to grow up quickly to become the main provider in his household. His childhood was a series of days immersed in books to gain more and more knowledge, longing for a life-changing opportunity to take his mother and himself away from porverty. In his free time or just simply wanting to take a break from studying, Naib often finds part-time jobs to help his mother with a little money to cover life, regardless of whether it is heavy work or no matter how tiring the job was. Even though life was harsh, he never once blamed his mother, on the contrary, the relationship between his mother and him grew deeper and deeper. Time passed in the blink of an eye, the young boy Naib was now grown up, stronger and smarter than all the boys in the small village. And his study efforts were rewarded with a full scholarship at one of the UK's top universities.
Here, when Naib finished studying in the morning class, he would quickly went to work part-time at a coffee shop near his school. It was just a small store that mainly served nearby students, so there weren't many staff on duty here. Besides him, there was only one other person named Eli Clark in charge of the afternoon shift. Both of them are among the top excellent students but still have to work part-time, and if Naib needs money to cover living expenses and send part of it back to his mother, according to Eli, it's just "to take care of his pet."
Every day passed like that, Naib tried to study and work for a brighter future until that one day, a particularly loudmouth customer visited the store.
