"... Huh...?"
I looked around, disoriented, and quickly realized that I was in my bedroom. My body felt heavy, and though I felt hot, chills went through my body. I tried to sit up, but that just made my head ache, so I laid back down.
The door to my room opened, and I saw my mom walk in. She looked at me, a tray in her hand, and gasped.
"You're awake!" She said loudly, causing me to wince, "Oh, sorry...!"
She set the tray on my nightstand and sat on the edge of my bed.
"Are you okay? When those boys came over here with you in their arms, I was so scared! They said you fainted," she hummed, putting a gentle hand on my forehead.
Huh...? Oh... Now I remember... I was running away from the police, and then I fainted. Mikey or Draken must've taken me home...
"Yeah, I'm fine..." I said, my voice a bit hoarse.
She pursed her lips and furrowed her brows.
"Listen, I know you have a certain type, but... Don't you think those types of boys are dangerous...?"
"Mom, they're just friends..."
"Mhm... Well, you were asleep for most of the day. The shorter boy stayed for a while. I think he's still here. Maybe..."
I nodded, and with all of my strength, I managed to sit up.
"Mikey... Can he come in here...?" I uttered.
"Mikey? Is that his name? [NAME]... Do I need to put you on birth control?"
"Mom...!"
"Sorry, sorry!" She giggled, standing up, "Your medicine is on the tray."
With that, she walked out of the room. I reached for the pill that was on the tray and downed it with the glass of water that was beside it. When I sat the glass back down, the door opened again, and Mikey walked in, hands in his pockets.
"[NICKNAME]-chan..." He said with a smile.
"Mikey..." I said.
It was quiet for a few moments. It was a bit awkward, but also... kinda peaceful. Mikey was the first to break the silence.
"[NICKNAME]-chan... You know how the Musashi Festival is coming up?"
I perked up a bit. Is he going to ask me to the festival?
"Yeah... Why...?"
"..."
He stood and walked towards the door. With his back turned to me, he said, "Don't go." With that, he walked out of the room, leaving me more confused than I was before.
