The pattering rain did nothing to soothe my shock. Mikey texted me that he was going to meet me outside and take me somewhere, and I didn't know why until he took me to a cemetery. The rain only made the atmosphere more gloomy. Shinchiro, who I always thought of as an older brother, is dead. He's been dead for years.
Draken was with us, too, and Takemitchy and the blonde boy who got beat up yesterday were behind us.
"Shinchiro-kun was an awesome guy," Draken said.
"Yeah..." Mikey murmured in reply.
"Takemitchy," Draken said, turning to look at him, "We know, too. We know that past incidents can't be undone. Baji and Kazutora... didn't intend for that to happen."
"Yeah... It's too late to change what happened. I know that. But, deep down, I can't accept it."
Mikey and Takemitchy went on to talk while I just stood there quietly. What happened? What did Baji and Kazutora do? They couldn't possibly have...
"Come on, [NAME]-chan," I heard Draken call after me, making me realize that they had gone off without me.
I quickly walked after them and fell into pace beside Mikey. The silence was quiet and a bit awkward. I felt embarrassed about breaking the silence, but there was something I really wanted to ask. Well... Two things I wanted to ask.
"Um... What happened to Shinchiro...?" I asked nervously.
Mikey stopped and looked at me with a hard gaze, which made me flinch.
"S-Sorry! You don't have to answer, I was just-"
"He was murdered," he said.
"Huh...?"
"He was murdered. By Kazutora."
... So I was right... But they were talking about Baji, too. I wonder what his role in this was... I decided not to pry and asked my second question.
"Also... How did you get my phone number?"
Mikey just stared at me with a deadpan look. He then smiled and tilted his head with a laugh.
"You're funny, [NICKNAME]-chan!" He said, throwing an arm around my shoulder.
Huh?
He proceeded to walk along the sidewalk, avoiding my question. It made me a bit suspicious. But, this is Mikey. I'm sure he has his ways...
