The boys have started Rehabilitation Training with the Butterfly girls, so I have a lot of free time on my hands. I didn't know what to do with it, though, so I mainly stayed inside with Nezuko. The two of us bonded pretty quickly, and she's seemed to get really attached to me.

Shinobu has a pet goldfish, which both Nezuko and I are entranced with. Nezuko likes it simply because it's cute, but it made me hungry. I finished off my last blood pack, and ever since then, I snuck out every night to kill small animals to sustain myself.
As the two of us sat next to each other in a dark room, watching as the fish swam back and forth, the door opened behind us. I looked and saw Tanjiro walk in. He looked at Nezuko and smiled. His gaze then shifted to me, and his grin faltered ever so slightly.
"What are you two doing?" He asked, walking up to us.
Nezuko hummed, pointing to the fish excitedly. Tanjiro laughed and patted her head.
"Nezuko-chan!"
The three little girls of the Butterfly Estate, Kiyo, Sumi, and Naho, stood at the door, looking at Nezuko as if they wanted to play. Nezuko stood and eagerly walked after them, leaving Tanjiro and I alone in an awkward, tense silence. I was about to stand to leave when he spoke up.
"I'm constantly smelling blood on you..."
I froze and looked at him with wide eyes. Jeez... He really does have a good sense of smell. I pursed my lips, not meeting his gaze.
"It's just animals... To sate myself..."
"I smelled human blood on you, as well. Zenitsu's and that Hashira's..."
"I..."
"What are you doing, [NAME]? Why are you taking their blood?"
I took in a shaky breath. I know it's not my fault since they both offered it to me, but I was still scared of the feeling of being confronted.
"I... I..."
Unable to think of anything, I got overwhelmed with emotions and started crying. He didn't move and just watched me.
"[NAME]..." He mumbled.
"I... I'm sorry..." I finally managed to get out, "I'm just so... hungry... I'm trying so hard to hold back my urges, but I can't..."
My voice wavered, and I was unable to say any more. I looked at him, my eyes filled with bloody tears, and when I did, I saw his face turn a light shade of red.
