I screamed and sobbed as he ripped at my skin. He tore me up bit by bit. I wasn't healing.
"This is what you deserve," Kibutsuji said, "You tried to run away. You need discipline."
Using what little strength I had, I raised my head to look at him with wide eyes filled with burning, raw contempt. He paused, and it almost seemed like he shuddered under my gaze.
"I hate you, Kibutsuji..." I uttered, my voice hoarse from my screaming, "I hate you so much..."
He tsked and ripped my head off. By this point, I was numb to the pain.
"Akaza." With those words, someone appeared beside me, but I didn't bother looking to see who it was. "Fix her up and take her back to her room."
"Yes, Kibutsuji-sama."
With that, he disappeared. I felt hands grab the sides of my head, and it was placed back onto my neck. Slowly, my body healed, but what didn't stop bleeding were my eyes.
"Come on... Why won't you stop bleeding...?" Akaza murmured.
A hand reached up to wipe the blood from my cheeks, but they just kept coming. He sighed, picking his words carefully before speaking again.
"Kibutsuji-sama... You shouldn't expect mercy from him. You tried to run, and you got your due punishment."
I looked at him with blank eyes that had tears welled in them.
"He's brainwashed you..." I murmured.
"Wha...?"
"He's brainwashed you... All of you... What was your life like before you became a demon, Akaza...?"
"I..."
I let out a choked sob and threw my arms around him.
"Akaza... I'll get out of here... And I'll bring you and Kokushibo and Uppermoon Two with us... You'll all be free from his clutches... So, please, just hang on..."
There was silence for a few moments before arms wrapped around my waist.
"Okay..."
