"Mom...?"
My droopy eyes slowly opened. My vision was blurry, and no matter how many times I blinked, I couldn't focus.
"Mama..." I uttered as two hands cupped my face.
She gazed down at me with her sad [EYE COLOR] eyes.
"My baby..." she said, pressing a kiss to my forehead.
That kiss made my vision suddenly become clear. I looked around and saw that we were in a field of Blue Spider Lilies.
"Mom... What's going on...? Am I dead...?" I asked, my eyes starting to water.
"No... No, you aren't dead... It's time to wake up, now," she said, wiping away my tears.
My surroundings started to warp, and my mom disappeared.
"Mama...?"

I shot up, gasping for air as I looked around. I was outside... I tried to stand, but I immediately fell back down.
"Don't move," said a familiar voice.
I looked to my side, and to my relief, I saw Yushiro.
"Yushiro... What's going on...? Where's Tamayo-san...?" I panted.
His gaze darkened, and he looked at the ground. My eyes widened, and I shook my head.
"No..."
I heard the sound of shouting and battle. I shifted my gaze to it, and I saw what looked like a tornado. But it wasn't a tornado... It was Kibutsuji, but he was in a different form. The Hashira were fighting him. Well, what seemed to be left of them.
I couldn't dwell on that too much, though, because Yushiro rushed after him. I was rooted in my spot, still wondering what happened. The last thing I remember, Rengoku stuck a serum into me. A demon-to-human serum.
Slowly, I looked down at my hands. My nails were claws anymore. I used my tongue to search my teeth, but I couldn't feel my fangs. I'm human...
I stood on shaky legs and followed Yushiro. He was kneeled down next to Yushiro and two other demon slayers. On the ground was Tanjiro, who had a pulsating mound on one side of his face, covering one of his eyes.
Tanjiro... He's scary... I don't want to help him, but... His eye that wasn't covered opened suddenly, and it snapped towards me.
"Tanjiro..." I uttered.
I heard the sudden crashing sound of buildings. I looked around and saw that the Hashira were blown away. The only one left was Kanao, who was kneeled down in front of Kibutsuji.
I yelped when something suddenly latched onto my feet. It was Tanjiro. Kibutsuji, who was originally going for Kanao, looked at the two of us.
"[NAME]..." Tanjiro laughed, his smile wide and disturbing, "I won't let you get away from me this time... I killed him. Rengoku. He took you from me... I just had to..."
So that's why I'm not with Rengoku...
"Mmm... How did this happen?" Kibutsuji asked as he got closer to us, "You're human now... That just won't do."
He reached out for me, but Tanjiro immediately stood, blocking him.
"Kamado Tanjiro... You look positively awful," Kibutsuji laughed.
"Let's finish this, Muzan."
