Eventually, the ship sank, forcing us into the water. I watched as it went down, knowing that mother, father, and Tuk were all in there. Suddenly, I heard calling sounds. Lo'ak. I put that kiss in the past. What's done is done. Our family is about to die. That's what's more important right now.
"Lo'ak!" I cried, swimming over to him as he got closer on his ilu, "They're all down there! Mom, dad, Tuk...!"
"Grab on!" He said to all of us.
With all of us holding onto his ilu, we dove into the water. Kiri and I went off together to find mother and Tuk while Lo'ak and Spider went to find father. I watched as Kiri made her way to some nearby gill mantles - creatures that allow one to breathe underwater. We did tsaheylu with them, and I took a deep breath in.
I looked at the ship, expecting us to go right in, but instead, Kiri sat down and started waving her arms around towards the small, glowing yellow creatures that are seen just about everywhere in the ocean. I narrowed my eyes slightly, wondering what she was doing, when suddenly, the creatures started moving in a specific direction. She looked back at me and grabbed my hand, taking me along with her as we followed them.
Eventually, it took us to our destination: mother and Tuk. I quickly rose up from the water and swam over to them.
"Mama! Tuk!" I cried out, holding them both close.
"Oh, my girl!" Mother cried out, holding the back of my head.
She sounded so scared... Nothing like the usual strong mom I know. But I don't blame her.
"Mom, I'm gonna give this to you," Kiri said, taking off her gill mantle to give it to mother, "It'll help you. Trust me."
"Tuk," I said, taking off my own to give it to her.
"Calm your heart. Big breaths. Follow me."
We stayed close to each other, Kiri holding Tuk while mother and I held each other's hands. Slowly but surely, we made our ways to the exit and surfaced. We looked around before spotting Lo'ak, father, and Spider along with Payakan.
"Daddy!" I cried out, starting to swim over to them.
We all came together, holding each other close. I gazed up at the sky, watching as the sun rose. With Payakan's help, we went over to some rocks that were further away, where I saw where Tsireya and Neteyam were. Neteyam was injured, but he seemed okay. As soon as my feet touched the rough rocks, I knew that, at least for the time being, we were safe.

꒰ఎ The movie is done, and Neteyam didn't die, so I'm gonna add some extra stuff! We're going to say that Quaritch died, so they're safe and sound among the Metkayina. That means that we can have some actual yandere action 😌
