"Mount Natagumo..." I repeated, looking around as I tried to take deep breaths.
"Come on, let's go a little further down so you can breathe easier," Muichiro said, gently taking my hand and leading me through the forest.
I looked around, though there wasn't very much to see. However, as it got easier for me to breathe, I noticed things. Trails of blood in the grass... Scratches on the trees... They definitely killed people here... I knew they were demons, and it was a normal thing for them to do, but the thought of it... the thought of them feeding on human flesh... it makes me feel sick. I groaned quietly and stopped, holding my queasy stomach.
"Huh? What's wrong, [NAME]? Are you not feeling well?" Muichiro asked worriedly.
"I knew we shouldn't have brought her here. Not to our mountain, anyway," Yuichiro groaned.
They helped me to a large boulder, where I sat and took deep breaths. Ugh... I can't bear the thought of it... It's so gross...
Yuichiro suddenly froze and looked around. He groaned and grimaced.
"There are more demon slayers here, Mui..." He murmured.
Muichiro sighed and looked at me.
"... There shouldn't be any demons on our turf. We'll leave you here for now, [NAME], while we go take care of them. It shouldn't take very long at all!"
He gave me a reassuring smile before they both vanished. I didn't feel any better, though. I leaned against a tree, panting from both the thinness of the air and the bubbly feeling in my stomach.
"Ugh... Why couldn't I have just gone to a normal forest...? Or maybe a lake or a small village... Yeah... That would be nice..." I mumbled to myself.
"Hey! Are you alright?!" A sudden feminine voice called out.
I yelped and quickly looked in the direction of the voice. A girl was rushing towards me. She had short black hair with a small pink bow in it and large pink eyes. She wore some sort of unusual uniform with a long pink haori over it and a brown box on her back.
She's a human... But why would she be near a demon's territory? She stopped right in front of me and grabbed me by my shoulders, giving me once over.
"A civilian shouldn't be here! How did you even get here in the first place? Actually, no, that doesn't matter! I need to get you to safety!" She said quickly, grabbing me by my wrist and pulling me up too fast.
It made me feel a little woozy. I tried to pull away, but her grip was tight.
"And... Who are you...?" I asked, blinking slowly.
"Oh, I'm sorry! I'm a demon slayer, rank Mizunoto! My name is Kamado Nezuko!"
