✿ Sleepover ✿
"You guys have to come here!" Shelly said through the computer screen.
On the computer screen, the whole group of friends is happily chatting to each other.
It's been a while since the group was like this, everyone is in their 4th year and goes to different universities so Shelly really misses them.
They still keep in touch but don't have time to go out like before, this video call comforted her a lot.
Shelly's just as busy as her friends too, the college she's attending is actually more difficult than she thought.
But she wasn't very surprised, studying diplomacy is not easy so she has prepared herself mentally for a long time.
Although Shelly had to admit one thing, those dealine would definitely kill her one day.
But her boyfriend has a much harder time than her, Jay decided to choose medicine as his mom wanted so studying is more stressful than ever.
She told him that he didn't need to learn if he didn't like it, he just said it would be okay because he chose it in the first place.
The school her boyfriend attended was quite far from home, it takes a lot of time to go there.
At first he stayed in the student dormitory but when he was about to enter his 4th year, he wanted to move out on his own so he asked his mom's permission.
His mom got very angry, she thought that if her son moved out then it would be difficult for her to manage him and she figured maybe Jay wanted to move out with his girlfriend because she had known about his relationship with Shelly for a long time.
At first she was strongly against it and told Jay to break up with her, that made him very angry and they both argued loudly with each other.
Then her boyfriend told his mom that if he passed the university, she had to promise not to interfere in his relationship anymore and she agreed.
And after Jay excellent passed to the medical university, his mom has kept her promise.
She doesn't forbid or have any opinions about their relationship anymore but deep down Shelly knew that Jay's mom didn't like her.
For example, maybe she thought she was the one who told Jay to move out and Shelly wouldn't blame her if she thought that way because there were many times Jay fought with his mom just for her.
From the moment they met then became friends and finally became lovers, Shelly know how sad Jay's childhood was.
When he was a kid, he didn't have any friends and his mom was always strict with him so Jay become quiet with eveyone.
But Shelly knows that behind the shield full of distance, her boyfriend's a warm and extremely kind person.
The proof is that since the group all got to know him, he has smiled more and been much more open to everyone which makes Shelly very happy for him.
She wants her boyfriend to always be happy like that, not to return to his own loneliness again.
And although Shelly doesn't agree with her boyfriend's mom's ways, she understands that every mother only wants the best for her child.
She wished she could be a little more open-minded and consider Jay's feelings more because no matter how angry Jay was, Shelly knew he still love his mom very much.
After that argument, Jay still kept his original intention of moving out by himself.
His mom did not object anymore but she said if he wants to be alone then do it by himself because she won't give him any money to rent the apartment.
Jay wasn't surprised by his mom reaction, he already knew she would act like this, he also said he doesn't need her money and he will make it by himself.
And he did, he made his own money by investing in stocks online.
Shelly found it quite risky when her boyfriend used it but it turned out he was more expert than she thought, he earned a lot from it and used that money to rent this apartment.
More precisely, he bought it.
So now Shelly's here, at her boyfriend's apartment, she often comes here to hang out with him but that doesn't mean she doesn't have her own apartment.
The apartment she's staying in actually belongs to her grandpa, he let her live there because it's convenient and it's easier for him to visit her.
To celebrate Jay having his own apartment, Shelly came up with the idea to invite their friends over to play and he agreed.
They plan to sleepover at Jay's apartment, that's why the whole group is so excited right now.
"Sorry I couldn't come guys" June said sadly.
"It's okay, June" The group comforted the older guy, Mia softly said "We have many other times".
Shelly agreed with her friend, she looked down at her feet and saw Jack looking at her with round eyes.
She picked him up, gently stroked his soft fur and continued talking to them.
Yuna asked her "Hey Shelly, where is Jay?".
The blonde looked towards the kitchen and answered "He's washing the dishes, we just finished our lunch".
"Like an old married couple huh~" Vinny teased "When are you two going to have kids then?".
Shelly blushed heavily "Vinny! Stop it".
They laughed at her expression and continued to discuss sleeping over at Jay's apartment. Dom said loudly "You better tell him to prepare the popcorn, otherwise I won't come".
Shelly funny looking at the mustache guy, she knew he was going to say that. That's why she and Jay went shopping just now.
"We're all prepared, only you guys are missing" Shelly said while playing with the cat on her lap.
"Then I'll bring board games!" Minu volunteered "The slumber party wouldn't be fun without games".
Yumi happily "Agree!".
After talking for a while longer, Shelly turned off the video call and lifted Jack off her lap "Let's go see if your daddy has finished washing the dishes yet~".
Shelly stood up and went into the kitchen, she saw Jay cutting the watermelon.
After lunch just now, she suddenly wanted to eat it so when they went shopping they bought it.
"Even his back is beautiful too" Shelly chuckled proudly as she watched her boyfriend from behind for a moment.
Then the blonde girl slowly approached him, she wrapped her arms around his waist and hugged him from behind.
Jay smiled slightly and leaned his head to look at her "What is this hug for?".
"A reward for washing the dishes~" Shelly hugged tighter.
"Oh~" Jay continued to cut the watermelon "Well I prefer a somethings else though".
Shelly chuckled and buried her face into to her boyfriend's shoulder, she always feels good when she does that. His scent comforted her, she loved it so much.
When Jay finished cutting, he washed his hands and turned around to hug his girlfriend. They leaned against the kitchen wall and he asked "How was the call? Did they say they would come?".
"Uh huh... just no June" Shelly was a bit sad "He's on a trip with his family so he can't come".
"That's bored" Jay played with her curls.
She pursed her lips "At least we'll still have fun tonight~ it's been a long time since we've gathered together like this".
Jay nodded while looking at her sparkling eyes, she is like a pearl shining in the ocean. It's extremely gorgeous that it makes people want to have it, he was glad because he was the lucky one.
"Is there something on my face?" She asked when her boyfriend kept looking at her without saying anything.
He called her name softly "Shell~".
"Yeah?" She waited for him to speak while he kissed her forehead "I love you".
Shelly smiled gently and kiss his lips "Me too".
Jay let go of her and walked out of the kitchen, he held a plate of watermelon in his hand "Let's go to the living room then".
Following behind him, she giggled when she saw her boyfriend's red ears.
She actually enjoyed seeing his shyness and she will never get bored with it, her Jay is definitely the cutest.

Shelly looked at the clock on the wall, time passed quickly because it was already 5:30 PM.
She thought everyone was probably on their way so she started leaving snacks and drinks on the living room table while Jay took a shower.
"Did I buy enough snacks?" Shelly counted them and thought. Jack sat on the couch looking at her, she reached out and gently stroked his head "This is not for you, silly boy".
The cat meowed unhappy that made Shelly feel funny, she hugged him and stood up "Now~ who wants some cat food?".
When Jay finished showering and stepped out, he saw his girlfriend was putting away the dishes and Jack was eating his food deliciously.
Jay leaned down and gently patted his head, Jack happily "Meow~" to him in response.
He walked towards Shelly and said "Jack's becoming more and more like a potato now, we should let him lose weight".
"Don't say that, you'll hurt his feelings" Shelly laughed and also looked towards Jack "But you're right, he's really heavy".
After putting away the dishes, she saw that her boyfriend's shoulder was still wet. She sighed and grabbed the towel from his shoulder, pulling him toward her.
Shelly glared at him while drying his hair "How many times have I told you huh? Have to dry your hair, you'll get sick like last time".
"If I said I did it on purpose so you could help me, would you believe it?" Jay wrapped his arms around her waist and teased.
"Jay~" She smiled the smile he feared the most "Next time you don't dry your hair properly, I'll cut your hair down, got it?".
"Got it!" Jay nodded trembled.
The two continued to tidy up the house, Shelly looked around to see if there was anything else to clean while Jay went to water the potted plants on the balcony.
After finishing everything, the couple sat down on the couch to rest and watch TV.
After searching for a while on Netflix, the two decided to watch the The Mummy by actors Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz.
This movie is very good, Shelly quite likes the beauty of the female lead while Jay like mummies.
"Ding!!!" The doorbell rang startling both of them slightly, Jay looked at the clock on the wall and realized it was 7:00 PM. Shelly stretched and said "I'll go get it".
Shelly stood up and went to open the door "I'm coming!!".
When she opened the door "Hey!!!" The group shouted happily when they see her.
Shelly smiled brightly at them, she realized that her friends had changed quite a bit from before "You guys come in, Jay's inside".
The group entered the house and went into the living room to put down the sleeping bag, Dom and Minu immediately rushed to hug Jay almost made him trip "We miss you, dude!!!".
"Long time no see, Eunuch" Vinny lightly punched Jay's shoulder.
Jay also smiled lightly "Glad to see you guys too".
The girls felt funny looking at the boys, Yuna and Mia also came over and hugged Shelly tightly "Miss you so much, girl!".
"Aww~ I miss you two too!" Shelly turned to Yumi and opened her arms "Come here, girl~" Yumi rolled her eyes but still joined the girls' hug.
They are still hugging each other very tightly and have no intention of letting go, can't blame them because they are really happy to see each other like this again.
Jay looked towards the girls "Happy to see you all again".
"So do we~" Yuna smiled in response.
"It's been a long time since we've gathered like this" Mia said happily.
Minu was excited "Yeah!! We gonna have so much fun tonight guys".
Dom looks around at Jay's apartment, admiring him for buying it himself.
"Damn it, Jay~" The mustache guy exclaimed "This apartment is nice!".
Yumi was also amazed "Yeah! Is soo beautiful!".
Jay shrugged and looked at his friends, why does everyone seem so surprised. He thinks this apartment is normal, it's just more spacious than regular ones.
The group still walked around to look at the apartment, not only was it beautiful but the decoration was also very elegant.
"Okay guys, come and sit down. I'll go make some popcorn" Shelly chuckled said.
"We're coming with you!" The girls said together, Yuna looked at Jay "Can we use the kitchen? We want to bake some cookies".
Jay nodded "Sure".
"Chocolate chip cookies!! Please Yuna~" Dom and Minu shouted loudly in the back.
"Fine fine~" Yuna laughed and walked towards the kitchen "You guys always act like child".

The girls went into the kitchen and leaving the boys in the living room, Dom and Vinny sat down on the couch and unwrapped the marshmallows.
Minu approached the TV and picked up the CD games, he smiled slightly because he found something familiar.
"Still keeping this, Eunuch?" Minu asked Jay.
Jay nodded and said "That CD games is quite good".
Dom stood up and took it from Minu's hand "I still remember when we played this" He smirked "At that time I defeated you guys very easily".
Vinny glared at the mustache guy with contempt "You're just lucky".
Minu looked towards the kitchen and gave them suggestion "Then in the meantime, we can play this thing again".
Everyone agreed and sat down on the couch while Jay turned on the game for them. They started playing the game on TV, Dom and Vinny were fighting fiercely.
"Hey, you cheated!!" Dom shouted while Vinny smirked "Don't blame me if you suck~ Mr. defeated you guys very easily".
Minu was speechless looking at the two guys who were behaving like children "Can you guys play in peace?".
"He started first!" Dom glanced at the red hair.
Vinny scoffed "Oh shut up~".
They kept punching each other non-stop during the game, Jay and Minu were also waiting to see who would win.
As soon as the words GAME OVER were displayed on the screen, Dom frowned at the redhead "It's not fair!!!" And he said "Admit it, you cheated!!!".
"A win is a win" Vinny smirked "Accept it, you lost!".
Dom argued "Only because you cheated!!!".
Dom and Vinny continued to fighting about who won the game, they even pushed each other to the floor and wrestled with each other which make Jay and Minu felt helpless with the two of them.
Then the brown hair guy ignored them and took a packet of M&M candy from the table to eat, he stood up and walked towards the kitchen to see the girls.
Those two keep mocking each other makes Jay feel funny, this group will never grow up.
Jay watched them for a while and then he turned to walk out of the living room, he went upstairs and gently opened the glass door to went out the balcony.
Jay leaned against the railing, felt comfortable as the night wind blew around him.
Right now he's very happy, his girlfriend and his friends are all here with him.
They will talk about old memories, playing board games and watch movies together.
But the happiest thing is that they're together again after a long time because each of them has their own road.
The memory of the group nervously talking about college still makes Jay smile when everytime he remembers it, they used to wonder which school they should go to or what job they wanted to do in the future.
Looking back at that time makes Jay see how quickly it passed, everyone has really grown up and they're all working hard on their own dreams.
Minu decided to go to university for business administration, which surprised Jay quite a bit because he once said he wasn't fit with the numbers.
But he changed his mind cause he had to help his dad with the work at the company.
His sister Yuna, she immediately signed up for law school on the registration form. In high school, she was always at the top in law subjects so Jay found it very perfect for her.
Vinny and Dom were simpler, they both went to physical education college.
As for Mia, she is currently interning at the hospital because she wants to become a nurse.
Yumi and he never talked much to each other, they both didn't have the same topic to talk about.
As far as he remembered, Vinny said his girl was studying communications.
Jay's also trying his best in his studies, for his own future and also for his girlfriend too.
He and Shelly have been together since high school and it has been 7 years now, those years were absolutely wonderful to him.
Jay really treasures his relationship with Shelly and he always try to protect it at all costs.
It took a long time for her grandpa and her dad to accept their relationship so Jay is extremely careful and always proves to his girlfriend's family that he is very serious with Shelly.
Although Shelly's always on his side, he's still scared of his girlfriend's grandfather and her dad. So don't talk about making her sad, Jay didn't even dare to cheat on her.
But he thought there was no need to wait for them because Shelly would kill him before they do, just thinking about that scene is enough to make Jay sweat.
The only difficult thing is probably his mom, she has never liked his girlfriend and to be more precise is she has always disliked his social relationships.
For her, his friends would be a bad influence on him. Since high school, she had forbidden him from hanging out with friends like that.
But it was because he got to know them, Jay finally saw how beautiful his time at high school was.
And thanks to them, he got to know Shelly - the beautiful girl who brought him happiness.
Jay still remembers when he and his mom had a loud argument about how he didn't want her to keep controlling him anymore, that time was indeed very complicated.
Although the two later spoke again but Jay firmly told his mom that he would not let her interfere in his personal life again.
Especially his relationship with Shelly.

Taking the cookie out of the oven, Yuna placed it gently on the table.
Mia was making a drink while Yumi was peeling some fruit, Shelly cleaned up the baking utensils and put them in the sink.
She took a cloth and wiped away the flour scattered all over the table because just now Minu walked in and was playing with it, Yuna had to scold him to make him leave.
"Your cookies are always the best, Yuna!!" Yumi compliment the smell of the cookies.
"Thanks, girl~" Yuna giggled "And I even put double the chocolate chips in these cookies".
After finishing the apple juice, Mia turned to look at Shelly and saw her preparing to clean up the mess. She came over and said "Let me help you wash it".
"Sure~" Shelly smiled with her.
Once everything was done, the girls laughed happily and prepared to bring food to the living room.
Mia mumbled counting the food, Yuna put cookies on a plate while Yumi washed her hands. Shelly also finished putting the dishes in the cupboard and she walked towards the girls.
Mia asked while looking at her friends "Do you guys think it's enough?".
"Well we have cookies, apple juice, fruit, popcorn and a bunch of snacks outside" Yumi nodded "Yeah! Definitely enough".
"Then let's bring out the food, the boys are waiting" Yuna said.
They slowly brought out the food and heard the boys shouting happily, Dom and Minu excitedly leaned forward to get the cookies but Yuna lightly hit them on the arm, making Shelly laugh at their expressions.
She put the bowl of popcorn on the table, looked around but didn't see her boyfriend anywhere.
Shelly asked "Where's Jay?".
"I don't know" Dom took a sip of juice and looked at the girls "I thought he was in the kitchen with you guys".
Yumi shook her head "Nope, Minu was the only one who came in".
The blonde girl was about to ask again but Vinny interrupted "I saw him go upstairs earlier, maybe he want to get something".
"Then you guys talk first, I'll go up and see him" Shelly took a candy and put it in her mouth.
She gently went upstairs, opened the door to her boyfriend's room and saw him standing out the balcony.
Shelly stood still and observed for a moment and saw him smiling very slightly, she moved to open the glass door and Jay turned his head to look at her.
"What are you doing out here?" Shelly stood facing him "Talking to your mom on the phone?".
Jay hugged her waist and she wrapped her arms around his neck "Nah, I just want to get some night air. Your girls finished cooking yet?".
"Yep~" She grinned.
Jay smiled and pulled his girlfriend into a hug, burying his face in her neck and smelled the scent of her hair.
Shelly also hugged him tightly in return, she leaned against his warm chest and the two stayed like that for a while.
Love is as simple as that, they don't need to say much but they both still understand what each other is thinking.
She gently told him "We have to go down now, everyone is waiting" and she felt Jay's pouting, he let go of the hug "Fine~ let's go".
They held hands and went downstairs together. When they entered the living room, they saw their friends happily talking to each other.
Dom saw the lovebirds and teased "Finally!! Come here quickly. We're waiting for you two to choose the movie".
The group started sitting close together, after searching for a while on Netflix, they decided to watch the movie Spider Man: Far From Home by actors Tom Holland and Zendaya Coleman.
Click to select the movie, everyone grabs the food and concentrate on watching.
Mia tilted her head to rest on Minu's shoulder while Yuna fed a cookie to Dom and Yumi who were also comfortable in Vinny's lap, they were both feeling very satisfied and happy with each other.
Jay wrapped his arms around Shelly and whispered in her ear "I love you~".
"You really said a lot of those words today" She looked up at him and chuckled.
"I didn't realize that" He also giggling and hugged his girlfriend tighter "You don't like it?".
Shelly raised slightly to kiss his chin "I love it~".
He looked at her filled with love, he gently pecked her nose and gave her a loving kiss on her forehead.
They continued to hug and watch movies, happy that they were still together with their close friends.
