Chapter 0 Prologue
Thousands of years ago.
For the first time, an entity appeared—
a being that carried within itself a power far beyond reality.
Yet no one knew of its existence.
The Deity created ten children and bestowed upon each a unique ability of their own.
They were left free and unbound, wandering the world,
among the lands where humans dwelled.
Then, one day, the Deity desired a place to return to—
a place where It could rest.
With their abilities, such a task was effortless.
They built a city, and that place was called Octagram—
the Star of Eight Points.
But a being of unknown origin appeared.
He destroyed everything, reducing all that they had built to dust.
He was powerful—
powerful enough to rival the Deity itself.
To protect this land, an oath was forged between the city's founders and him—
the cunning demon from the Void.
And they accepted it.
From the year 24 S.C.N., the first year of the city's founding,
the pact took effect.
According to the doctrine spread among the people,
the one called Akumu would come to destroy the land
for three days at the end of every century.
As part of this balance, the power of the Deity's ten children
would be passed down to their successors within Octagram.
And within the royal house of Octagram—
where truth is concealed—
lie the memoirs of the past:
records of predecessors, of kings,
and of those who wielded the supernatural abilities inherited from the children of God.
Those who seek the truth of this city.
Those who yearn for liberation.
The kings of each era.
What did they do in the past
to survive,
to endure the war that returns every hundred years?
What is the true history?
And where does the truth truly lie?
