Part 52 Confident Subhadra
Khushi got discharged from the hospital. Arnav brought her to RM. Ratna already came to RM to prepare healthy food for Khushi.
Arvind brought Ratna home. He was hell upset with his mother. Kamini said something to him in person without Ratna's knowledge. Arvind's eyes were teary, thinking about Kamini's words.
*I have lied to Ratna because she couldn't bear the truth. Khushi has difficulties in getting conceive. Her womb has been affected badly. She needs medical support. Hope for good that she will be alright soon*
Arvind wiped his face off, hearing horn sound. He saw Arnav and Khushi coming. Khushi looked tired and Arvind felt guilty. He couldn't even save the hire of his family which made him awkward.
Arnav took Khushi to the room. Closing the door, he lay down on the bed and pulled Khushi on him. Khushi rested on his chest.
*Did Dhadi eat anything?* She asked.
*Would not have... no one would give her food other than us...*
*I will give her...* she said.
*Not today...give tomorrow.*
She nodded ok.
They heard a knock on the door. Arnav got up from the bed and Khushi lay down on the bed properly. Arnav opened the door. Ratna was standing with a soup blow. She glared at Arnav.
*Don't shut the door... she is so weak. Stay away from her...* she warned.
Arnav was horrorstruck, hearing her direct warning.
*I know Mom. I was changing... that's why I closed the door.* he managed her.
Ratna touched her cheek.
*Please take care of her Chotte...* she pleaded.
*Mom...I love her...* he simply said.
Ratna nodded yes and went in with the soup bowl. She touched Khushi's head and she looked at Ratna. She Smiled at Khushi.
*Come on, beat... have it*
Khushi sat on the bed and took the bowl from Ratna. She had it slowly.
*It's good aunty...*
Ratna smiled at her painfully.
*Aunty please, don't be gloomy. It doesn't suit you*
*I will be alright if you guys are happy* she said gasping.
*We are happy aunty... I'm alright. Your Chotte will take care of me...please smile* she pleaded.
*Take rest...* she caressed Khushi's hair.
Khushi looked at Arnav painfully.
*Chotte, I'm going to prepare dinner...*
Cutting her, I will be with Khushi and I won't leave her alone* he promised.
Ratna nodded ok and left the room.
Arnav peeped out and got confirmed that Ratna went to the kitchen. Taking the bowl from Khushi, he headed to the storeroom. He knocked on the door slowly. There was no response from inside.
*Dhadi, it's me...* Arnav said whispering.
Subhadra opened the door. In no time, Arnav entered in and closed the door. He extended the soup bowl towards her.
*I can't get anything other than this...have it*
Taking it from his hand, Subhadra had it, not showing her hungry. She passed the bowl to Arnav, finishing it.
*I will bring you dinner after dad and mom fell asleep* he said.
Subhadra nodded ok.
*Don't be sad to be here...* Arnav said to read her mind.
*I'm not sad. Arvind will forgive me soon...* he said confidently.
Arnav wondered, seeing her confidence. He smirked inwardly.
*Call me if you want anything...*
Subhadra nodded ok.
*Put your phone in Vibrate mode.*
Subhadra nodded ok again getting his point.
Arnav came back to his room and kept the bowl on the table.
*How is Subi?* Khushi asked.
*Her arrogance will never lessen...* Arnav sighed.
*What did she say?*
*She expects Dad will forgive her soon*
*What do you think about uncle?*
*I can't say anything about Dad...but we should not let him forgive his mother*
*Mmmm...*
*For that, you have to come out of the room...because I can't do it alone*
*Ok...relax for one night...everything will be done tomorrow*
Arnav sat next to Khushi.
*You are right... I need to be relaxing... make me relax...* He said running his finger on her neck.
*Should I call aunty...?* she asked teasingly.
*Oh, really? Call her... Arnav said casually.
Before Khushi even opened her mouth, Arnav seized her lips not giving her a chance to shout. After a mind-blowing kiss, Arnav broke the kiss and wipe her lips with her shawl.
*I will surely complain about you to aunty* she slapped his cheek.
*Then you will get another mind-blowing kiss...* he dashed her forehead.
Khushi pouted at him.
*And...if you want to tell her, do that tomorrow morning after a few sessions...* he chuckled.
*Whaaaat! A FEW sessions....?* she asked shockingly.
*Then what? Don't you want your mother-in-law to be happy? She will be happy only if you gave her grandchild*
Though he said teasingly Khushi knew he was not wrong.
*Aunty may come anytime. Don't be careless. She will get upset*
*Ok... promise me we will have a session tonight* he demanded.
*Ok...* she pinched his nose.
Arnav got up from the bed and sat on the recliner like a good boy. Ratna sent dinner for them. HP brought it and kept it on the tea table.
*Maji sent it to you*
Arnav nodded yes and HP left the room. Taking the plate, Arnav came to the bed and sat in front of her. He extended a morsel towards Khushi's mouth.
*Don't you trust aunty?* she asked before taking the morsel from his hand.
Arnav took another morsel, not answering her question as he understood what she meant.
*I have full faith in her...but she is weak in acting... I suppose. We can do nothing if she breaks the egg*
*Without giving her a chance how do you underestimate her? Have you ever seen her messing with the acting*
Arnav nodded no.
*Please tell her Arnavji... I can't see her gloomy. How brisk she was...!* she said feeling sad.
*Ok, ok... I will tell her when the right time comes...*
Khushi sighed in relief. Taking a morsel, she fed it to Arnav happily.
*You like my Mom so much...don't you?*
*Of course... how sweet she is...! She is a different mother-in-law no one can get. We should not keep her in dark...* She gave the next morsel from Arnav.
*In fact, you guys both are sweet...* Arnav smiled.
*You too...* Khushi dash her head with his.
They smiled together. They saw Ratna entered the room. Her next stance shocked Arnav to the core whereas Khushi gulped a chuckle which was about to broke in her throat.
*Chotte, you go to our room and sleep with Dad. I will sleep with Khushi*
