The soft golden rays of the afternoon sun filtered through the pale blue curtains of the hospital room, casting gentle patterns on the white-tiled floor. A warm breeze fluttered in from the open window, carrying with it the scent of blooming jasmine from the courtyard garden below.
The quiet beeping of the heart monitor and the occasional murmur of nurses in the hallway created a calm, almost sleepy atmosphere.
Mia gently pulled the curtains back and tied them to the side, letting more sunlight flood the room. She turned around and gave Minu a small, curious look.
"What? Announcement for the next race?" She asked, walking over to the chair beside his bed and sitting down with a soft thump.
Minu leaned back on the pillow, resting his bandaged arm across his lap. His dark hair was still a bit tousled from sleep, but his eyes lit up when he looked at her.
"I was surprised too" He replied, shaking his head in disbelief "Jay told me just yesterday. I didn't believe him at first, thought he was joking".
"It's so soon, the last one just ended" Mia blinked, processing the news.
Minu looked thoughtful, his gaze drifting toward the window "Yeah... it's rough, the Crew barely got time to recover".
"Looks like it's getting harder for them - more practice from now on" Mia said softly, worry flickering in her eyes.
Minu let out a slow sigh, his gaze distant as concern tugged at his expression.
He couldn't help but worry for his Crew - tired, stretched thin and now facing even more pressure with another race on the horizon.
There was a beat of silence before Mia straightened up, her expression determined "But it'll be okay! I believe in our Crew, they'll do it again - I know they will".
Minu chuckled, the corners of his mouth curving into a smile.
"You're right, they'll" Minu said, reaching over with his arm to squeeze her hand "I just hate not being there, you know?".
"You'll be back soon" She reassured him, brushing his hair back from his forehead "In the meantime, they've got each other and they've got you cheering them on from here".
Minu smiled at her, touched by her unwavering support. But then something flickered in his expression - a mix of amusement and realization.
"Oh! That reminds me" He said suddenly, straightening up "I forgot to tell you something, we might be getting a new couple in the group".
Mia blinked in confusion "What?..."
He grinned and leaned in close, whispering something quickly in her ear.
She gasped and jumped in her seat, her eyes wide with joy "No way! Are you serious?!".
Her boyfriend nodded, his grin stretching even wider "Dead serious~ that idiot finally asked Yuna out. They're going on a date this weekend, he says he's planning to confess".
Mia clapped her hands together, practically glowing with excitement "Oh my God, finally! I've been waiting for this forever~".
"I know, right?" Minu said with a smirk and shake of his head "I thought he'd chicken out again".
She thought of Yuna and chuckled happily "I'm so happy for them~ our friends are going to freak out when they hear about this!".
"They've probably known all along, I mean Dom's feelings weren't exactly subtle" Minu talk with a snort "My sister's the only one who didn't see it... or maybe she was scared".
Mia laughed and leaned into him, resting her head on his shoulder "Well~ whatever happens... I just hope Dom will succeeds".
"Of course he will! And if he is too dumb to tell her, we'll beat him up ourselves" Minu grinned mischievously.
Mia nodded solemnly "Operation Push Dom Off The Cliff begins if he hesitates".
He laughed again, then sighed in contentment.
They sat there for a while, the sunlight slowly shifting across the room.
Outside, the sounds of a race car engine revving echoed faintly from a nearby practice lot - a reminder of the world still moving at full speed.
But here, in this moment, everything felt still and perfect.

Waiting for a long time, Dom nervously hoped that his date with Yuna today would be successful.
He has chose for himself the best clothes in the closet - a black jacket with a white hoodie and Nike shoes. Dom even bought for Yuna her favorite bouquet flowers to impress her.
The place Dom chose was the aquarium, it's beautiful and romantic enough. Very perfect for his confession to Yuna.
Plus Dom got two free tickets so isn't that perfect.
While busy cheering for himself, Dom heard a sweet voice calling from afar.
"Dom!" Yuna ran over "Sorry for making you wait so long".
He looked at Yuna closely and found that she was very pretty today in a white sweater and black skirt.
She even has lipstick on.
So freaking cute.
Dom shyly said "It's okay, I just got here too... oh, I bought you some flowers".
Yuna happily took the flower bouquet "Thank you".
The two slowly entered the aquarium and watched the colorful fish swimming around the glass dome.
Yuna watched intently without noticing that Dom had been staring at her all this time.
Once inside the aquarium, Dom decided to stop. Yuna turned to look at him with doubtful eyes.
"What's wrong?" Yuna worried.
Dom took a deep breath "Yuna... I... I have something to tell you".
Yuna is nervous because she knows what Dom is about to say.
"Tell me... I'm listen" Yuna said softly.
Dom approached her and took her hand "I know you've always thought of me as an child... but for me, liking you is what I'm serious of the most".
Dom's words touched Yuna's heart making it vibrate fiercely. She didn't expect him to be able to like her so much or even more than she liked him.
But before she could answer back, this idiot continued to irritate her.
"I won't embarrass or regret, Yuna. I just wanted to tell you my real feelings, I hope you not gonna mad at me" Dom scratched his head "And... you don't have to answer back if you don't like it. I don't want to force you".
Before Dom could continue, Yuna hit him hard on the shoulder.
Yuna angry "Shut up! Who told you I don't like it?".
"What?" Dom dumbfounded.
"You dummy!" Yuna said "I haven't replied yet and you said I don't like it?".
Both of them looked at each other and blushes hard, now everything seems to slow down.
"So... what's your answer?" Dom worried.
Yuna smiled "I like you! I really like you, Dom. And yes! I will be your girlfriend".
For the first time, Dom felt happiness fill his heart. Finally the girl he liked was willing to like him back.
Now he can hold her hand, hugging her everytime he want and shout out loud that Yuna is finally became his girlfriend.
"Well then my girlfriend, let's go get something to eat" Dom held Yuna's hand tightly.
Yuna grinned squeezed his hand "Okay, my boyfriend".
