🧸CHAPTER 19🧸
Going to the closet to open it, Shelly searched for her Crew jacket while answering the phone.
"Of course I want to eat breakfast with you~" She chuckles "Then wait for me~".
Hanging up the phone, Shelly looked in the mirror and brushed her blonde hair.
The race was going to be today so Shelly was in a hurry, she tied her hair into a ponytail and put on her Crew jacket.
At first she thought she would have to eat breakfast alone but Jay said he wanted to have breakfast with her so she was thinking about whether to ask him out for rice soup.
Shelly looked at the time on her phone and think "Great! There's still time".
Due to her thoughts, when she picked up her glass of water and drank it, Shelly was...
"Keng!!!" The sound of a glass of water shattered.
Shelly lifted her forehead "Oh my...!!".
She carefully bent down to pick up the shard of the glass when suddenly...
"Ouch!!" Shelly exclaimed.
Continuing to pick them up, Shelly took them out of the room and threw them in the trash.
While she opened the drawer to find personal duct tape, she heard the door open and her grandpa walked out of the bedroom.
"What was that sound just now?" Nick asked.
Shelly pursed her lips "Sorry for waking you up grandpa, I just dropped the glass".
Nick worried "So you're hurt?".
"No... I'm fine" She lied to him.
"Good! By the way... why are you dressed like that?" Nick watched his niece "Oh yes... it's a race, isn't it?".
Shelly nodded "Yes it is!".
Nick patted her head "Good luck my princess!!... I'm a little tired so I'm going back to bed".
She hugged her grandpa "Sleep well~".
When he returned to the bedroom, Shelly's smile faded.
She stared at the cut on her finger "Why do I feel so bad...".
But then she quickly shook her head and tape the cut "Stop thinking too much! I should go right now or I'll be late".
_______
Opening the door of the restaurant to enter, the familiar smell of rice soup stimulated the appetite of both of them.
The waitress grinned "Oh! It's you two again".
"Hi~" Shelly smiled "Give me two bowls of rice soup, please".
The waitress nodded and walked inside, Jay felt comfortable when he looked around the restaurant. It just never changed a bit and Jay love it.
They sit down at the familiar table and when he watched his girlfriend, Jay saw that adorning her hand was a piece of personal duct tape.
Jay took Shelly's hand and rubbed it gently "What's wrong with your hands?".
Shelly said softly "It's fine! I just dropped the glass".
When the waitress brought out the soup, the two began to eat in silence. Shelly looked at the white radish and felt funny remembering it.
"Even though I've been in Korea for a long time, I'm still not used to chopsticks" She giggled.
Jay chuckles while took a piece of white radish for her "You can use a fork instead".
"I know~" Shelly replied playfully "But I'd rather let you pick it up for me".
Jay blushes hard when he hears his girlfriend say that while she was happy to see his reaction.
After joking around for a while, the two continued to eat. Jay looked up at Shelly and wondering if he should tell her or not.
He had given it a lot of thought on the way here because Jay didn't want to hide anything from her. They both promised to be honest to each other, besides it would be safer to let her know too.
As Jay was about to speak, he was suddenly cut off by her.
"You have something to tell me, don't you?" Shelly asked lightly.
Jay thought "It's impossible to hide anything from her".
"Yeah" He nodded.
"Okay" She continued "I'm listen".
Jay honestly tells his girlfriend everything about Chan's and observes her expression.
Shelly stirred her bowl of soup, still can't understand why that stupid keeps bothering them over and over again. She sighed looking at her boyfriend.
"So how do you plan?" Shelly pursed her lips.
Jay blew lightly on the soup spoon "I can't think of anything yet but I'll keep an eye on him first".
"What does he want from us anyway?" Shelly frowned.
He shook his head "I don't know".
At first, Jay thought he just wanted revenge but if that's the case then that idiot can just aim at him.
But Jay was wrong.
Chan just kept aiming for Shelly, like that dick want to play catch with both of them. Somehow is became a game to him and this game is kinda creepy though.
The important thing is that Jay can't guess what his next move is. But he's sure it's not good at all.
"I have a feeling he's going to do something during the race" He sighed.
Shelly grabbed his sleeve with a worried voice "I don't care what he's up to, what I care about is you. Don't let him affect your mind, Jay!".
Jay calmly "I won't! Don't worry".
He holds her hand and said "But you have to promise me that you'll be careful too!".
She nodded "Promise!".
Then the two of them ate quickly, walked out of the restaurant headed to where the race was taking place.
