20 Dumbfounded Arnav...!
Part 20 Dumbfounded Arnav...!
Khushi was dumbfounded. She could not understand anything
"I'm sorry, Khushi... I was rude towards you"
She broke the hug.
"I'm sorry"
Khushi smiled awkwardly.
"Could you predict everything?"
Khushi nodded no hurriedly.
"Then?"
"I just say something when it comes out of my mouth beyond my control"
"Oh... Without knowing that, I scolded you as if you intentionally said that. I'm sorry"
Khushi didn't understand why Anjali apologized these many times. Seeing the confusion on her face,
"I'm pregnant..." Anjali said.
Khushi smiled.
"I can't fly... Your words came true" Anjali smiled.
Khushi looked down.
"I'm happy..."
"You should be resting, bhabi," Khushi said.
Anjali nodded yes.
"You can ask me if you want anything," Khushi said with concern.
"Are you sure?"
"Jee..."
"Thanks"
Anjali went to her room. Khushi saw many eyes wandering at her. She silently left the place. She went to the poolside garden and watered the rose plant.
"I don't like Delhi, maji... My village is much better than this Delhi... This Delhi always keeps me nervous. Don't know when and how people's mind change..."
"It seems you became fond of my mother's plant" Arnav who came there asked.
"It's because it won't react hearing my blabber..." she pouted.
"It was the first one who reacted to your blabber... It germinated only after hearing your blabber... Remember?" Arnav smiled.
"But, it won't scold me as humans do," she says making a face.
"I have cleared their perceptions... They understood. From here on, they won't scold you"
"Go, Arnavji... Here, I can't even help people even after seeing them struggling"
"What are you talking about? Who is struggling and what could not you do?"
"I'm talking about, goggles wali, stylish aunty..."
"I didn't get you... How do you help her?"
"I'm an expert in removing sprain..."
"Really?"
"Mmm... I learned it from an old lady. In our village, everyone goes to her to remove the sprain. She is our neighbor. Whenever people came to remove the sprain, I went to her house to see how she did that. Seeing my interest, she taught me to remove the sprain"
"Could you remove any sprain?" Arnav surprised.
"Yeah... Certainly, I could..."
"Could you remove Miami's sprain too?"
"Of course, within a few seconds..."
Arnav raised his brows getting amazed.
"Yes, Arnavji... It's a matter of a few seconds but, the doctor asked her not to walk for twooooo days..." She made a disappointed face.
"Come with me..."
"Where?"
"Come"
Keeping the water sprayer, she followed him. Arnav brought her to Manorama's room. Khushi looked at him stunningly as she understood what he was supposed to do.
"Arnavji... Why did you bring me here?" She asked in a low tone.
Without answering her,
"Mami, do you want to be in bed for two days with pain? Or, want to get cured in a few seconds?"
"In a few seconds? How is Arnav bituwa? What are you going to do?"
"I am not going to do anything but Khushi..."
"Khushi? What does she know?" Manorama asked looking at Khushi.
"She is an expert in removing sprain," Arnav said proudly which amazed Khushi. She could not believe Arnav trusted her so much.
"Is it?"
"She taught it from an experienced old woman of her village it seems"
"Will it pain?"
Arnav looked at Khushi.
"It does... but for only a few seconds..." Khushi said hesitatingly.
"No problem, Khushi. come on, do it" Arnav said.
Manorama widened her eyes.
"But, Arnav bituwa..." Manorama stammered in fear.
Without giving heed to her,
"Khushi, what are you waiting for? Come on do it..." Arnav insisted.
Khushi stood looking at Manorama's facial expression hesitatingly. Clutching her hand, Arnav pulled her towards Manorama's bed and made her sit on it.
There was no choice for Khushi and Manorama to escape from the situation, giving any excuse. Khushi slowly touched Manorama's ankle. Manorama closed her eyes tightly, fisting her fingers.
Khushi removed the grip band from her anklet. Closing her eyes, she examined it by caressing it with her fingers softly. Her finger stopped at a particular point.
Arnav was observing Khushi and her actions. Khushi opened her eyes confidently. Clutching Manorama's anklet, Khushi twisted it carefully.
"Ahhhh... Hey Devi Maiya..." Manorama yelled.
Khushi stood up from the bed, looking at Manorama.
"I'm gone... I'm gone..." Manorama blabbered.
Is it over? Arnav asked Khushi through his eyes.
Khushi nodded yes.
"Mami, are you still feeling pain?" Arnav asked.
Manorama stopped blabbering and slowly moved her leg. Her facial expression changed. She shook her leg from left to right. Her face let out excitement. She got down from the bed and hopped laughingly.
"I am alright... No pain" She revolved like a little girl.
Arnav bit his lip to control his smile whereas Khushi smiled brightly. Manorama was supposed to rush out, but she stopped and looked at Khushi.
"Thank you so much..." She smiled and left the place.
"Great job, Khushi... Amazing..." Arnav smiled.
Khushi sighed in relief.
People who were in the living room, dropped their jaws, seeing Manorama walking, throwing flying kisses at them, like a model.
"Manorama... How are you walking casually?" Anjana asked, standing up from the couch.
"The sprain is gone..."
"But how?" Nani asked.
"By the hands of magic," she said.
"Stop throwing riddles... Tell us openly" Anjana asked.
"Khushi removed my strain"
"Khushi?" Everyone asked unbelievably.
"Yes, she is an expert in removing sprain... Just a twist...! It's gone..."
All of them spared a glance at each other.
"Thank God, my two days would have been wasted..." Manorama sat on the couch.
"Don't you really feel any pain?" Anjana asked doubtfully.
"Don't you see me walking casually?" Manorama questioned her back.
"She predicts everything... Removes strain... Don't know what else she knows" Lavanya said.
All the eyes around her shrank... We could not say what those eyes were holding in them.
Nani came to her room.
"Wow, Khushi bitiya, you didn't tell me about your special talent?" Nani smiled.
"I didn't think it would work here, Naniji. Arnavji took me to Aunty's room and made me do it"
"That's good... Your skill helped someone"
Khushi nodded yes.
"By the way, are you surely going to do the pooja, the day after tomorrow?"
"Of course, Naniji... We have to do some preparation for the pooja tomorrow"
"What preparation?"
"You don't worry about them, Naniji. I will do it"
"Khushi bitiya, keep everything secret. No one should know about the pooja. Don't say anything to anyone. Please"
"Ok, Naniji... It's no moon day and also Friday. I can easily manage"
Nani nodded ok with satisfaction.
The next morning
Arnav got ready to go to the office. He got a call on his mobile. The call was from Aman. Arnav attended the call.
"Yeah Aman, Tell me..."
"ASR, bring all the files you have in RM. Many files are spoilt in the attack. Our staff can recreate them using our old files"
"Ok... I will bring them..."
Arnav took the files from the cupboard. They were nearly fifteen files. He called HP to keep them in his car.
"Hariprakash...."
But, neither HP came nor did he reply. Arnav came out of the room and again shouted.
"He is not at home, Arnav bituwa... He went to the market" Nani said from the pooja room.
"Ok Nani..." Arnav again came in and took the files in one hand and the laptop bag in another.
Finishing the pooja, Nani came out of the pooja room and saw Arnav going out. He went to keep the files and laptop in the car.
"Chotte, don't forget to light the lamp in front of Ratna's photo," Nani said, seeing him going out.
Arnav turned behind and nodded ok. Khushi who followed Nani from the pooja room didn't see him nodding. She thought Arnav didn't hear Nani's words and left RM. Nani also went to her room.
Khushi sighed. She didn't want to LEAVE it...! She came back to the pooja room again. Taking the matchbox, she lit the lamp, in front of Ratna's photo, unaware of its mystery. But, nothing was a mystery between Ratna and Khushi. The lamp blazed like a beautiful white Pearl but it was not as beautiful as Khushi's smile.
Khushi lifted her head and got stuck, seeing Arnav staring at her with an unnamed expression.
"Arnavji, you came? I thought you left... That's why I lit the lamp. It's your regular routine, right? I should not have lit it. I will put it off..."
Taking a flower, she tried to put off the lamp. Arnav who got his sense back tried to stop her from doing that. But, more to his surprise, the lamp didn't go off. Khushi frowned and again dumped the flower on the flame.
"Now, it would have gone off" She took the flower slowly with a smile. Her eyes widened, seeing it still flaming. She tried, again and again, to put it off but she could not. Arnav stood looking at Khushi who was trying hard to put off the lamp... the lamp that could not light by anyone other than him...!
