I Fused My Genes With An Emperor Class Honkai Beast And Fell In Love Wirh Sa

It was just another day for her, observing potential bubble worlds drifting in the Sea, prevent their corrosion to the Sea just so that she could devour them herself, all for the sake of her dream, to rebuild Purusha by constructing a new planet, out of the Cocoon's control.

There could be nothing wrong with it, she always thought to herself.

All those bubble worlds are doomed, sooner or later, Quantum Shadows would overtake these worlds and tear it up from the inside, what a waste of energy, she could have used them better...

That is what she has always been doing...

She stared at the monitor, her mind unable to focus, her eyes constantly looking randomly on the monitor as if she was pretending that she is focused. Yet her mind is never on it. She sighed as she closed it, knowing that she herself is wasting her time.

"..."

Yet she could not get her mind off the thought that you had left her. Even though she did not openly react to your comments above how much you loved her and such... She couldn't help but to feel some pain in her chest when you are no longer around, showering her with love and affection.

She might still have that cold, stoic look on her face, yet... Seems like you changed her, brought her back to become what is known as a human again, experiencing emotions, such as love... She did not expect your departure to come so early, especially when it is over something that... is inevitable, yet it is also her fault for concealing the obvious truth away from your eyes.

Her eyes wander back to your comfort zone, a corner in her domain where you stored some stuff there to make it a good resting spot... Now they are there without an owner, Sa has no use for them, she could have thrown it all away yet she did not. Why didn't she? Was there truly some connection between her and you, that you desperately wanted, but now never will have another chance to know?

"..."

She walked out of her domain, her eyes set on the vast Sea... As the memories of that day once again came back to her mind.

/ / /

She had thought he knew it, yet he did not, he was blind to the truth, no, she concealed the truth unintentionally away from her, thus creating the tense atmosphere between them both, yet Sa, failed to read the room again, asked you.

"Forget it, now you know, come back to my domain now, you can take some good rest."

"No..." - You let her hand go, she looked at you, her irritation growing.

"What is the problem?"

"I killed these people."

"..."

"All those people, those who wanted to destroy the world, those who wanted to save their world, those who seeked more knowledge, and even innocent people... Because I thought we were doing the right thing!!!"

Sa was slightly surprised when you raised your tone against her, but she did not falter at all and immediately responded.

"Why would you react to it like you have done something wrong?"

"It isn't wrong? I have killed them! Because I thought you were protecting them all along!"

"..."

"Goodness... I can't believe it... You were no different from that thing..."

"... It is for my homeland to be one again."

"Yet how many worlds must you devour for it...?"

"... It is a worthy sacrifice."

"You are..." - You felt like these words stuck in your throat, but they still got out nonetheless. "You are not a good person after all... You were... It should not be worth such a big sacrifice!"

"Listen to me, Y/n."

"Listen to you? Hah... Sorry but... I... I..." - You are not sure what to say, your emotions conflicting with each other within you, as you struggled, you became more angry because of the shocking revelation.

Sa placed a hand on your shoulder, looking sympathetic.

"Listen... I know, but it is all for the greater good, all these worlds would have been devoured by the Sea and suffered a much agonizing fate..." - Sa said, as she pointed to all those bubble worlds that you and her have been working together with to prevent their fall. "What I am doing here is not simply for myself, but it is for the sake of my homeworld, I will recreate it, and then Purusha will return and bathe in a new dawn."

"..."

"I know, you must have felt guilty doing that to them... I was there too, just like you." - Sa said.

"..."

"Just think of it like raising cattles, eventually you will have to kill them for meat to sustain yourself and to sell."

You were shocked by how she took the matter, raising cattles? Is she being serious?
You shrugged her hand off.

"Raising cattles? They are living humans with their own lives!"

"Which will die eventually, are you not listening to what I say?"

"No... It is just wrong!"

Sa's patience finally reached the limit, and she sighed, raising her hand to dismiss you.

"... Forget it. If we cannot agree over something like this... I will let you choose, this time, to continue serving me by my side, or if you cannot handle all that... You can leave."

Sa is now giving you the chance to choose again, it is different from the first time however, things have changed completely... Sa was confident that you would choose to stay by her side no matter what.

"..."

"So? Don't waste my time, Y/n. We are showing them mercy, come, after Purusha, we will restore yours." - Sa offered her hand, as you can feel, if you take her hand, she would share a part of her power with you, and things will be back to normal as usual.

But is it...? You just simply could not, all these emotions overwhelming you, the betrayal, the pain, the guilt... You could barely think straight now...

And so, you refused her offer and walked away.

"..."

At that moment, Sa wanted to call out to you again, asking why, and seeing if she could somehow convince you to be with her again... But she did not, her pride won't allow her, she was so arrogant with all that power that her pride would not allow her to reason with someone below her like John.

"So let it be, farewell, John Y/n." - Sa turned around and walked off. "These days... Were at least somewhat less boring." She lied to herself as she walked away from you, who was secretly crying, as your heart felt like they had been stabbed with a lot of needles at the same time... The pain won't stop, Adaptation won't help.

Another world is falling, the Quantum Shadows' numbers increased tremendously, as the world is now being broken apart literally, its residents fled in fear, but where to? There is nowhere else for them to take refuge amidst this fate to be consumed by the Sea.

Yet, to their call, is him. John Y/n, he alone destroyed the Quantum Shadows with his fists, and protected the people, yet even he could not prevent the imminent destruction of yet another bubble world that he could not protect alone.

Without Sa's power inside him, he could not patch the fissures up, so all he can do is go delay the corrosion now... He stayed with these people until their world was destroyed, and he was ejected out to the Sea again.

"..."

You sighed.

"Damn it... What am I even doing..."

Is this a way to atone for your sins? For lending a hand to Sa to destroy these worlds? No, it is not simply just that.

You felt betrayed, all these times, you thought your relationship with her was progressing just right... Your chest hurts very bad whenever you think about her, and there is just no way you could give up upon her that easily when you truly loved her so much, it was just too sudden of a choice, a choice that you regretted.

You wandered aimlessly around the Sea for a long time, not knowing exactly what to do... A part of you desperately wanted to be with her again, to be with her, to do what you have always been doing : winning her heart over. Yet it was not an easy thing to do, you weren't so sure if she had ever trusted you, all those praises of good work, all these small signs of affection she expressed, were they all fake?

"..."

Before you knew it, you found yourself staring at some Higher Existences fighting each other. As if they were representing your inner state, not united at all, only conflicts. You sat down on the edge, not even paying attention to the reality-shattering fight in front of your eyes.

"..."

You heard footsteps behind you, and the familiar pressure on both your physical body and your soul. It was no doubt that Sa was there, just a few steps behind you. But you did not turn back nor react to her presence, how could you? Even if you do, would she be willing to accept you again? After all, it was you who rejected her offer.

"..."

Sa was indeed there, her eyes studying your figures, seeing the stream of emotions flowing through you, she knew what you are going through, yet she could not fully comprehend it, for these feelings are now strange to her, yet, she could not help but to feel hurt when you did not turn around, even though you knew.

"..."

Maybe she should leave, after all, she could not allow herself to form a bond with someone like John Y/n, as time would eventually separate them, it will be the better of all.

"..."

Or maybe she should express herself on how empty she felt inside when he was absent, to try and mend the situation that is still salvageable.

"..."

Maybe you should leave, after all, you cannot be sure if she would ever show you any sign of affection. An one-sided love with no hope is not something you want at all, even if it is with Sa.

"..."

Maybe you should turn around, apologize to her, let that flame of love burn bright again, and restart everything... From the beginning, it was not a hard path to tread.

"..."

The silent was killing both of them from the inside, neither of them have the guts to do anything, even breathing or blinking, as if afraid it will lead to consequences that they do not want at all, even to the point that some Higher Existences down there have taken notice of the situation unveiling, as they slow the pace of their fight.

"..."

Come on, do something.

It must be either of the choices, you can't just sit there forever!

"..."

"..."

Sa sighed as she turned back, and began to walk away. Her footsteps were light, yet it was as loud as a thunder struck right by your ears, with every step she took, your heart felt like it was hammered. Same for Sa, the feeling in her chest grows heavier and she is hurt more with every step. But maybe this is the better choice after all... Her pride would not allow her to come around with you again...

Yet, she felt her hand being grabbed.

Her heart skipped a beat before beating violently again, as she gasped slightly and turned around, to see you standing there, holding onto her hand as you looked down, as if ashamed and could not bear to look at her directly.

"I... I'm sorry..." - That was all, that was everything that you could mutter, you did not know what to say, nor know why you grabbed her hand, but it was clear that it was your choice, a choice that you will not regret. "I'm sorry for everything... I... You were right... I have no right to feel guilty nor ashamed for all these people..."

The Higher Existences below stopped fighting each other as they looked up to you and Sa, patiently waiting for how this would play out...

"I have made a grave mistake... I'm... I really regret it." - Your voice gets smaller as there are more interruptions, as if you were on the verge of crying. "But worst of all... I should not have judged you... Your intentions were pure... I... I am really sorry..."

"..."

"I just want to say it... You may not wish for things to go back to normal... I just want to say sorry..."

Tears began flowing out of your eyes.

As some of the Higher Existences down there started wiping theirs with tissues too.

Suddenly, you felt Sa grabbed your hand and lifted it up slightly, you saw she held your hand with both of her hands.

"... No, you were right, Y/n."

She started talking.

"It was right of you to feel... Betrayed, I was the one at fault. I should have paid more attention to how you feel... I... Really am a bad person... and a bad one about reading emotions, right...?"

"... No... It wasn't your-" - You looked up, and was stunned because you saw how much she had changed, her hair color now gray with a touch of green, and her eyes, no longer back, but with red pupils... And a tear flowing on her cheek.

"I..."- She continues. "I could not help myself but to think about you... With every passing moment in that lonely place again..."

"..." - It was at this point that you realized, you were not talking to Sa, the Higher Existence, but rather with Sa, the human that she once was.

"... Please... Come back."

It was your action, your initiative that changed her mind, her stubborn pride is now no longer matter, for Sa now wanted nothing else but to have that warmth in her life again, not to lose it when she could get it.

"..."

You were surprised, emotional, but yet, happy because she said it, she said what you wanted to hear the most...

"... Is it really fine...?"

You asked.

The tension was so tough that the Higher Existences down there weren't breathing, afraid that they might interrupt this moment.

"It is... Please, come back." - Sa said as she nodded, her eyes looked more emotional than ever.

You wiped your tears with the other hand, and then pulled her close for a hug.

To which she hugged you back.

The Higher Existences down there started to cheer.

"I love you... Sa... I will do my best this time... I would not let this happen ever again."

You said, as you couldn't help but to cry more because of how happy you are. Then Sa pulled herself away, allowing her to see your face clearly.

"I love you too."

Sa said, then she leaned her face in, placing a kiss on your lips.

You were surprised and shocked, yet you quickly embraced it.

The Higher Existences down there stopped cheering, but instead, they cheered even louder, some even cried, some even shot out confetti, this was truly a memorable moment...

Meanwhile, the Imaginary Tree dropped an entire branch into the Sea.

Sea of Quanta : yo bro yo cryin?

Imaginary Tree : shut up... it's just pesticides got into my eyes...
