Nick was having the best time he could remember having in a while.

He was on a date.

They walked back to Dalton in a comfortable silence, pausing in front of the front doors.

Ashton's eyes flickered down to Nick's lips, which parted slightly in surprise as he saw the motion.

Ashton gently set his fingertips under Nick's chin, tilting his head up.

Then he kissed him.

Nick's first kiss.

He kissed back, his muscles somehow knowing exactly what to do.

When they broke apart, Nick's eyes were full of wonder.

Ashton smiled. "I had a really great time with you, Nick. I hope we can do this again."

With that, he slipped into the building.

Taking a moment to collect his thoughts, Nick also walked in. He went up to his dorm, falling onto his bed on his back and looking up at the ceiling.

Blaine chuckled. "Someone's happy."

"I just kissed a guy," Nick said breathlessly. "Just..." he made a soft explosion sound.

"Well, spill!" Thad exclaimed. "Is it that redhead you're always hanging out with? The tall one?"

"Yeah. Yeah, that's Ashton. And I kissed him." Nick could hardly believe it. "And I went on a date. With Ashton."

Blaine grinned. "He's the one you were smiling at your phone for, right?!"

Nick nodded. "Yeah. That was when Ashton asked me out. He... I just kissed him."

Thad put his hand to his heart. "Ah, young love."

Blaine shoved him jokingly. "You're like, a month older than us."
